  1. Guys a tune only DMAX can lay down 500+ RWHP..... Most of these "tuned" dmaxs must have terrible tunes. Back when my DMAX was tune only (built trans too) it ran 8.40 in the 1/8......fast enough to wax a procharged ss running 5lbs that night....

  2. Im not sure why everyone seems to be afraid of puting the battery cable together to clear the PCM???? It wont harm your truck at all....I have done it dozens of times over the years of working on cars and have fixed several cars by doing this. BTW, I was told to do this by a GM area feild technician. I think they have a pretty good idea about what they are doing....

Because most people don't understand electronics or electricity in general. They think positive and negative can never touch or cross paths. It's actually quite funny. Try showing somebody a 24v system using two 12v batteries, LOL, watch their head explode when the see positive going to negative and vice versa.

  3. Honestly I did a cam swap in my truck for less than 1k. Brand new cam, lunati springs and retainers, push rods, and gaskets. Total was around 880.00 bucks. Put it in myself. No way in hell I would pay more than 1800 for all of that installed.

  4. Ok, I have read several articles indicating the TBSS intake loses HP on these engines. I believe one article was done by hotrod and they dyno tested an LQ9 after many upgrades and the TBSS intake lost HP.

Again, just what I have read, no personal experience with it. I'll spend my money on other areas where the cost to benefit ratio is better.

  5. Guys I am building a new wet nitrous setup, standalone fuel system, plate, 150 shot. I am going to run c16 race fuel in my stand alone system. My question is should I still remove timing from my tune? Will spraying with the c16( highly detonation resistant) allow me to keep my timing at normal NA levels? I will be able to control the AFR with a fuel pressure regulator, too keep that in check while spraying.
