  1. ttt i still need that last question answered, can i just re-use the stock steel gaskets if there so good? thanks in advance for any help
  2. did you use the steel oem gaskets?. also if the steel oem gaskets are re-usable, why do i need to buy any? thanks again guys.
  3. i don't care if your bill gates.. to spend that much money on "any" detail is just plain stupid!. for that kinda money he should include a VIP room with some SexY euro escorts and all the booze/drugs you could handle while you wait! imo
  4. A bunch of the guys at performancetrucks.net have used and reused theirs with no problems...they look like the aluminum ones pictured in your second link. looks like i'm going to use the steel ones. one last question, is it ok to re-use the original manifold bolts, or should i get some of those locking ones?..
  5. i was aware of that law, and that is a clear case of how far they'll go to deny your claim that you mentioned.. but what if my trans slips, and they say it was due to the added HP?.. or what if my valves or lifters go bad or any other thing and they try to say it's because the engine was operating outside it's original parameters?... i just don't want to hear that crap. plus the long tubes are not smog legal and i'm removing the cats, and cali is realy strict about cats!.. so once i make it a bolt on/off system i won't have to worry about it. plus it would make it easy in case i get a "fix it ticket" so cops won't be a big issue either. just cheap insurance to save my self the headache. thanks anyway
  6. are they reusable? if so then i'll get those.. if not i guess i'll get those aluminium ones?. thanks guys.
  7. your joking right? reinstall manifolds for any warranty issues? find a real dealer then!!!! uhmm.. i never tried the local dealers for anything yet, so i don't know how they would react?. personaly it's just added insurance for me, it would only take me a couple hours to switch it around once i get it welded up with the flanges the way i want. it's not worth the risk of giving them an exscuse, for an extra $100-125 difference in initial instalation cost, and a couple hours work if it was ever necessary. most dealers aren't very "fair" so no i'm not joking. if you disagree i'm sorry, but thats what i'm doing.
  8. do they sell the locking header bolts on ebay as well?... also they say the aluminium one's are reusable, if thats the case they would be best for my set-up. i will be making my headers removable so i can re-install the manifolds and cats when it come time for any warranty issue's.
  9. is it just me or would anyone else like to play with her hairy little ****???... lol i couldn't resist!
  10. dude you must have some REALY high standards.. or your currently dating one of the PussyCatDolls or something?.. cause she looked good to me!
  11. the first ones are some type of carbon?... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/XX-HEADERS-...sspagenameZWDVW the second ones are a re-usable aluminium? but twice the price?... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HEADERS-GAS...sspagenameZWD1V let me know if either one is any good?, and if it's worth the extra cost for the aluminium ones?. i'm putting my pacesetters on soon but don't want to use the supplied gasket... any help would be appreciated. thanks.
  12. V-MAX's are the best!... of course i may be a little biased?.. lol. oh yeah welcome to the site!
  13. sounded like a bunch of ducks and geese that got stung by a huge sworm off bee's while flying over some farting pigs!!! whats wrong with these people
  14. congrats on the grand!.. my wifes always complaining cause i'm on here too much and i joined before you!.. lmao.
  15. that is some "GREAT" info, good lookin out!.
  16. on your truck i like the no chrome look, it seems to flow better with the parts that seperate the headlights. my truck is white so i would go all chrome. they both look good i don't think theres a wrong choice here, i just prefer when things seem to work/flow together.
  17. great minds think alike.. i got the scoop on ebay, for $50 (i think) and painted it myself. came out better then i thought. there is'nt a huge selection of hoods for our trucks, so i went with the scoop. make sure if you get one not to buy the kind with the flat lip around the scoop, those look like crap... p.s. do you have 3.73's or 4.10's on yours?.. and if you got any pics i'd love to see it
  18. welcome to the site, and please post a pic of the blue SSS and ZO6 next to each other someway?.. that would be sweet
  19. congrat's HeavyFoot, and welcome to the site. i had a black and a blue silvy befor my V-max, i chose white for the same reason you got the silver. this is mine below, when you get a chance, post up a pic of yours.
  20. i don't think this realy accomplished anything even if there were a 10-15% difference would that have been enough to eliminate the rest?. Holty, when doe's the voting stop so we can get an answer?. the suspense is driving me lol.
  21. I know you can pair 4.10's and 2WD, but it is rare. There is at least one person on this site with a 2WD Vortec MAX and 4.10 gears. Light truck + low gears = one fast truck! Congrats on the new truck. You will love it. Mike smithy, nice choice of truck!. your going to be hooked! am i realy the only guy with a 2wd/4.10's ???... i know there has to be more out there, maybe they just didn't join here?. "Light truck + low gears = one fast truck!" + a lot of wheelspin, my 60ft times suck no matter how i tried to launch (12 times) i couldn't get under high 2.3xx's and i'm still pretty much stock, it's gonna be worst after i get time to install my next few mods but like i mentioned before i did beat an SSS on the freeway.. so it has the potential to be faster then the rest. so once i install what i got, traction is going to be my next concern.
