  1. By no means did I post this here to say it's better than the SSS, I miss my SSS and wish I had never sold it. I just figured I'd try something different other than GM for a change since I couldn't find another SSS in the area that wasn't either ragged on or riced out )i found a red one that had chrome tribal flames on the side, hood, and tailgate with big nasty rims). My bad for sharing picks on a chevy site .
  2. lol wing is going, its like a park bench...I'll find and SRT wing. I can't find a lowering kit for it yet though on the sites I'v visited. Don't worry I still have the other silverado we were workin on, just not getting rid of teh v6 after i started having to drive 70 miles to work/therapy . I'll try and get some picks of the 2 together when the weather gets nice.
  3. So I was looking for something as a ne project since our project to turn the v6 silverado never happened after I dediced I might as well keep it that was for gas milage. So I was looking around and saw this truck this morning and had to have it. 2005 daytona with the 5.7l and only had 25k miles on it. So far I life the truck, stock exhaust sounds amazing, it runs great (its wet/icy out so my test drive was really fun leaving the dealer fishtailing and smoking the tires and the salesman just laughed), and quite comfortable. This is my first dodge so I dunno what I'll do under the hood till I learn more about them. For now I'v ordered black projector headlights, carbon tails, and some custom floormats that are black carpet and have daytona in orange. Right now I am stumped trying to find a 4x4 lowering kit for dodges..wheelgap=
  4. The sedans are nice, and they are lighter than the coupe. I'v come across a few TT G35 sedans. Amazing sleepers.

  6. SS Wrecker your my hero. Got an appointment friday to get the cluster fixed under the 7year 70k warranty on the cluster. Fireman31-I am not sure yet on what motor to go with. We want to have a decent runner N/A as well as experiment with a direct port nitrous setup. I gotta do alot of research on the rearend. I'm not sure what to do there as far as finding an LSD...and one that is strong.
  7. lol, 1 wheel burnouts is all that thing can do. I sat at the train tracks waiting for a train this afternoon burning 1 tire screwin around. Anyone know if I can swap out the 4.3 to an LS as easy as I can from a 4.8/5.3 or are the mounts different? I still have some of the parts from my SS that the guy who bought it didn't buy so I'm gonna try and use'm on here. I ordered a Hotchkis spring/swaybar set for the truck last night, that should give it a better feel for now, then the major mod needed...get that damn V6 out of there, or see just how much nitrous she can handle. hah I need to remove all the yucky chrome and that tacky ricer chrome door trim he put on it too. Should make for a nice something to work on this winter..and maybe I'll actually get my dad to give me a hand and we can work on something together again.
  8. Picked up this 2004 2wd silverado for just over $4k with 65k miles on it from my brother who was tired of it. Never wrecked and no problems except for now..started monday the speedo is stuck so I gotta get that damn $500 cluster. I figured for that price I could make a nice lil project out of it and use it to experiment with nitrous like I'v wanted to do. I'll get more pix later..i took one and my camera died.
  9. Hmm, Heart of the TBSS with the soul of a Saab? http://www.saabusa.com/saabjsp/97xAero/
  10. I did looking around today. I must say the new Denali is amazing inside and out. The chevy tahoe cannot pull of the new front end like the GMC's can...I also love that power fold 2nd row, lol my gf said that just makes it easier to have fun in the back. I love the new Land Rovers but I have heard bad things about reliability from LR owners around here...and the SRT8 was on my list till I saw the new interior on the 08's. YUCK. Local dealer has a black Yukon Denali XL fully loaded for 56k and a white one with gold badges that is quite sharp and it is $57k iirc. They look waay better than the new Escalades imo. They ruined the look of the escalades. I am not a good haggler so I need to find a friend or family member to come with me and see what I can work out paying cash. Anyone know what I could expect to knock off sticker if I pay cash with no trade in on an 07? They already have 9 08's on the lot. My dad said I could likely get it knocked down to mid $40's if they really wanna sell it..think it's possible?
  11. Nice, I'm jealous. I lost everything in my saltwater tank when I was unable to take care of it being layed up for a while.
  12. My SS towed a 16' enclosed trailer with 2 harleys and a full upright toolbox bolted to the front. We weren't brave enough to try and tow a travel trailer with it though so we let big red do that.
  13. OK, so I did some thinking and since the SS is gone I am gonna get an SUV for now until the doctors find a way to fix my back...now I know nothing about SUV's nor who makes one worth looking at really. Can anyone recommend some good SUV's to consider that are comfortable/stylish and get a decent MPG within the $45k range? Sadly the SSTB is out of question since if I get one I know I'm gonna dump money under the hood and defeat the whole purpouse of why I'm buying an SUV.
  14. Foose FTL. Everyone I know that had them said they were crap and expected alot better quality with his name on them. Tire Track is a great place to buy from, they have great prices and area great people to work with. Thewheelconnection.com is also a good place from what some friends have said.
  15. Boo! I miss my truck now. I'm considering buying one of these cheap ass 4wd RCSB on used lots around here for about $10k and building one of them up. A red SS pulled up beside me at the gas pumps today when I was out looking for a vehicle and I started kickin my ass.
  16. Any info on what's under the hood of that Black/Silver one? That thing has me watchin that vid over and over.
  17. Man siiiick truck. Always admired your truck and watching this makes my stomach churn over what I did staurday.
  18. Yea, I may just help my brother do that to his single cab silverado later. I am having my regrets a little, but it was for the better. The truck did have problems, and I explained it to him. I did some looking around today and found a loaded black 07 LT3 Tahoe for 44k after rebates I might pull the trigger on. Wish the tahoe's had the 6l80 in them like the Yukon does.
