  1. i am, but its hard to tell ya without being able to diagnose it. the little bit of fuel in there is normal, but it sounds like something is obviously not working properly. it does kinda sound like the solenoid, or maybe somethings interfering with it via a cut in a wire or something.

  4. nice job!! so your on stock heads and stock internals? i damn well should be , im just too lazy to wait in moroso's long lines for their crappy track . maybe if i had some slicks..... what fits over the alumisports?
  5. id say do the eradispeeds, but the back drums pose a problem. for a truck with 4 discs stock, thats a great upgrade. but i think going up in size in the front would make the back look strange. i say go alumisports or bust

  8. well i saw this sucker online, and noticed it said "production car" under its description. turns out 399 are being made. 300 for US, 33 for canada, and 66 for europe. i threw an order in to GM and crossed my fingers. i guess i got lucky and they allocated me one. so shes coming! i cant wait! tell me what you guys think of it
  9. i just want to remind everyone that being educated on your states laws and your rights are incredibly important. i just read a thread about a fellow SS member (think he drives a VMax) who was arrested for street racing on his way to work at 2 am(illegitimately). well (knock on wood) this same thing just about happened to me today. i was accused of "highway racing" because i went from 10-50 WOT. not only were there no cars in front of me, but none within 100 ft. i might add the speed limit was 45..... and i didnt spin my tires(they chirped the 1-2 tho). right after i stoped WOT a car pulled out and cut me off. so i braked, let about half a car of space and flipped on all 4 HIDs. the guy moved to one of the other 3 empty lanes . this officer tried writing me 6 tickets,(not including the criminal offense of "drag racing") but as i talked to him about each offense, they suddenly became "warnings". i guess he knew that he couldnt write them, i dont think he expected me to know anything about anything. after 50 minutes of harrassment, i got 3 window tint tickets. im not complying with the tickets, so it will cost $220. its $60 less if i "comply" and take it all off. but i figure its like $80 to retint my windsheild and two front windows. all i know is im glad i didnt sit back and get 6 tickets i would have to fight. how in the hell am i supposed to drag race myself?? he agreed with me that nobody was racing me.... like 3 other units showed up for the show, it was pretty rediculous. i dont think comming up to the back of my truck with his hand on his gun was totally neccesarry either

  12. haha i just got pulled over and ticketed 5 mins ago!! no tint tickets, and i have 5% on everything and 20% on the windsheild now lol. BTW it was a state trooper
  13. if you go with some good shocks, it rides pretty good. its a stiffer ride, but i dont think many would have a problem with it. now on the stock shocks, its pretty jarring. its also a good idea to do the Mr.P mod to the front bump stops. i did it and i highly recomend it http://www.silveradoss.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=26296
  14. i have 30%. all u can see is my knuckles on the wheel ive gotten pulled over three times with it, not one cop said anything
  15. i use a claybar. but some of it i waited too long to get off, and its burned itself a home in my fender liners lol. my corsa tips are also custom...... black speckled chrome

  18. i agree with you Mr.P.... have replaced a crap load of piston rings on vettes and f-bodys.... its generally arround 550 whp that stuff starts breaking. but its almost always the cast pistons and/or rings. ive only seen one broken crank(on our dyno big mess), and it put down like 825 to the wheels (incase ppl are wondering, Biturbo lingenfelter z06 ). the mid 04+ rods are a very nice piece, and IMO the floating assymbly helps keep things together better as opposed to the press-on. BUT mr.p, i disagree with the block statement. the kind of power it takes to break the LQ9 block (assumming everything is done correctly and running correctly) is absolutely insane
  19. no i didnt notice any interference, it feels exactly like it should: close to stock. when the lifters were new(not pumped up) they were identical in hieght to the stockers. i guess when they pumped they changed.... only thing i can think of. all i know is i hate them, my truck sounds louder than a duramax. my girlfriend still thinks i have a diesel lmao
  20. yea its gotta be that.... i didnt think they would be the same, my engine builder brought them to me and told me to use them. now i have to take everything apart, and put those GM Racing ones in. at least i can reuse ARP bolts lol
  21. yea thats the only thing that makes any sense. the only reason the truck works is because the crane rockers and pushrods are adjustable.... i think im gunna put GM partnumber 88958689. they are the "GM racing lifters" capable of 8k RPM, well more than needed. these are incredibly noisey, i hate them. wanna take them out anyways, but the stockers were starting to make some lifter tap.... was revving to 5800 before, now to 6600.... i think those stock lifters would REALLY have a fit now
  22. look for the driveshafts in the front, and the transfer case. also doing a gas-brake burnout will tell u for sure
