  1. I gotcha. Im getting kinda frustrated with it and I'm wondering if its worth just having someone else vacuum bleed everything. I wonder if I ****ed up the new master cylinder by bleeding with the truck on.

I did the same as you with the tube and cup and no air bubbles. I also did bleed the master before hooking lines to it.

  2. I've had super squishy brakes for some time since I replaced my calipers and cylinders. But they were even squishy then. I don't know if anyone remembers but not so long ago I had a brake leak that I couldn't find. When I did the new calipers and what not I would pump the brakes and bleed them with the truck on. They never really got stiff and my exhaust started to smoke. I took off the master cylinder and it had signs where the fluid was leaking into the booster. I replaced it and went on with life.

My truck started pulling to the left recently so I went ahead and replaced the rear shoes and also got to the front pads and noticed they were cracking. This is what was causing it to pull to the left. So replaced the pads. When I went to bleed to try and get the squishy out of my pedal I bled the drums. Went great. Then I got to front calipers. I had the truck on whie I was bleeding but when my wife would pump the brake the truck would smoke. I am guessing the fluid is going back through the master cylinder and into the booster then to the motor.

Am I not suppose to be bleeding my brakes with the vehicle on? Could my master cylinder just be crapped again?

What am I doing wrong? Feel free to ask questions. Thanks guys!

  3. Looks like I'm going to have the tuner do the same. Maybe put my regular driving down to where it should and keep the haul ass button but tone it down a tad also. Been a year and I dog it everyday since the new trans got in. Hell I dogged it before that. Bout time for a 7 yr old shaft to go. Just wish I coulda had the option to replace then and not now.

  4. I had it returned when I got the trans built and what not. But its all in what Justin thinks he should do I guess. I told him last time that I got the stall and rebuild and what was done and I think he only adjusted for stall. Who knows.

Truthfully I feel like the tune has something to do with both my losses on the trans. And I'm not just talking removal of torque management.

  5. For what its worth. I have my tune slamming gears. I also love to WOT first to second. I'm not putting any power other than stock really through it is what is bothering me. I was just about to spend the 2k on rims and tires. Now I'm thinking my truck might be to old and run down. LOL not sure if I want to put any more money in this.

  6. Had my trans rebuilt a couple months back and I got on it today and when it hit second gear it redlined. I pull over and have no 1,2,3, or D. It moves in reverse and goes into park. Brake light is lit with ABS and cluster says service brake system. Wtf happened to my shit? Is it something I can fix easily. I'm thinking its obviously something in the trans. I know its warranty as long as its not my torque converter.

  7. it is a brand new acdelco unit. not some chinease crap. I talked to the guy on the phone yesterday and they are in VA with a 1 year warranty

Then for 85$ I would get it. I'm always iffy about buying eBay. If it does break ur stuck shipping it back and yada yada

  8. So what I am gathering is you built a box that will still perform for spl but isn't peaky. Like it still has range. That is how my box is for my 18. Has a wide range but with my one 18 I can still come close to a 150.

My understanding is no box should be peakie if built correctly and not going for competition. Little difficult to get a box to play flat most of the time though. Want to see some pics or vids!
