  1. I see no use in spanking. I was never spanked or slapped or any of that and I turned out ok. Always respected my parents and my elders, got a 4.0 in high school only legal trouble I ever got in was jumping off a bridge into the river and one speeding ticket when I was 16. I wear my pants around my waist and I wear my hat straight. I have a very good work ethic as well. This goes to prove that spanking is not a neccesity if you have good parenting skills. My dad had his ass kicked growing up and he swore to never do that to his children. He used to have to go and break a switch off the willow tree in his back yard. I'll also tell you that there have been many punishments I got from my parents where I wished the could have just grabbed a belt or something instead of making me go through the tedious punishments I had to endure. Like if i closed the door too hard i got to open and close the door softly 200 times while counting or if i my sister and i ever got into a fight we had to hold hands and tell each other we loved each other for 30 minutes or if I got worse than a 3.5 gpa ever i lost my dirtbike for the semester. So many times i wished my parents would have just hit me like a normal kid......
  2. yeah I don't smoke and no one can smoke in my truck. I allow bottled drinks in there and food occasionally if I trust the person not to make a mess.
  3. I wanted the pats to win simply because i am a bears fan and when the bears were in the superbowl last time they were playing the patriots so I figured it would be cool. Watching the game I thought the patriots had it too.
  4. got you all beat, I paid $2.79 for premium yesterday.
  5. I have a friend with a 2500 with a 6.0 and that thing is sooooo sllooooooow. Now I have never ridden in an SS but I think they must be faster than that.
  6. thanks for the info zippy. I'm normally really easy on my truck driving around, I just really want to go to the drag strip on the 9th. This is vegas so we don't have cold air that long so if I wait until the end of the month to go I may not have the nice cold air. It's nice to hear this feedback because if it seems like I really need to take it easy, I will then. If not I will drive normally and do a few runs on the track.
  7. Well as the title says, lets see what you guys have for home defense. Here's my remington 870 12 guage. 18 inch barrel, pump action, holds 7 shells and soon to have a pistol grip. I know there are some gun owners here so lets see what you guys have.
  8. basically what I have heard is that if they are set up right, minimal break in is required. how did you like the 4.88's? That seems like such a low ratio to go to from 3.55's.
  9. Thanks quik! Any more info from anyone would be greatly appreciated.
  10. so do you think like 100 miles letting them cool momentarily is a good distance to break them in?
  11. I can understand that, 50 miles-150 is reasonable, but 500? That seems crazy and that's the number I hear most often. I figure most people would have problems with the gears in their new trucks all the time because no one ever breaks in the gears on a new truck but they are new ring and pinions.
  12. Ok I just ordered some 3.92 and and auburn posi, I'm moving up from a 3.55 open diff. I am not too happy about the break in process I have been hearing about to say the least. Have any of you out there said eff it to the break in procedure? Has anyone experienced problems with that? I will take it easy but I am going to the drag strip on feb 9th, do you guys think i'll be ok for 3 passes if I obey the rest of the stuff? So if any of you have driven your trucks like you normally do after a gear change and have been fine, chime in. Thanks everyone. I know this isn't for an SS as it is for my hemi but I know you guys know about this stuff as well so thanks for any info.
  13. your ram isn't exactly stock though haha. If I had an srt the first thing I would do was get a good ass posi and some huge traction bars.
  14. I wear von zipper, shams. I look like a BRO to the max wearing them though.
  15. The SRT10 with an ok driver should smoke a stock SS like there is no tomorrow. They are rated low 13's.
  16. wow I think they look ugly but that TRD street concept looks beautiful....
  17. or like it's an SS for that matter...
  18. ocotillo wells would be a great place to go as I am into motocross and all but if your goal is good old camping I would say no. I have camped lots of places and it seems like the best places are in the woods, not the desert. Just my opinion though. However, if you are into riding and so are you boys, go there and hit up some mud dunes.
  19. nxtnlne, try to find an area that is near a camp ground but not a camp ground. The most fun i had growing up camping was when we went places in the sierras that didn't have running water, showers, and bear lockers. I loved digging the fire pit and making the run off for my tent in case it rained. Try and do that it's alot more fun I think. Just make sure to get a fire permit. We had a few park rangers come and talk to us but they just wanted to make sure we had a permit since we weren't in a lot.
  20. Rules living anywhere BUT Missouri, Arkansas, Alabama, Montana, Texas, Idaho, west Virginia and Georgia. 1. Don't bone your sister. haha i'm just kidding. I lived on a gravel road outside of a town of 2500 in missouri for 2.5 years so I know how some of that stuff is. I very much dislike all the cell phone lexus driving yuppies here in my lovely white affluent suburb of Vegas. It was nice going to school in missouri, i would bring my shot guns to school and we would clean them in our shop classes and load our own shells at school. One of my good hunting buddies dad was best friends with my shop teacher and it was cool going hunting with all them and drinking a few beers. here you would get fired and thrown in jail for that. People also didn't get arrested at school for a good old fist fight so it made everyone a little tougher than it does in the **** gangster infested schools out here.
  21. I grew up in sacramento but lived in Missouri for 2.5 years so Las vegas cold doesn't bother me at all now. We're supposed to have highs in the 20's this weekend which is nuts for Las Vegas. However, these people bitch and moan about the cold, wait until you have to thaw the ice out of your door lock to get the key in. Or youe nostrils freeze shut. Letting your truck warm up for 20 minutes is the worst, especially when you go to pull out and your tires and iced to the ground. My driveway in missouri had some nice black marks on it when I was iced to the driveway and I just gunned it to get out haha.
  22. haha I saw that on msnbc the other day. The guy was like "well we tried to censor it...but we had no idea how too...so...uhhh...here it is" haha. The beaver part was the best I think haha. Or the part about her muffin being good lol. Oh yeah, it didn't hurt that she is really hot too.
  23. What's sad is I have 1900 posts on a dirtbike forum I go on, 500 something on an offroad truck one I go on and 624 on the dodge forum i mainly post on. Along with a few other scattered forums all around 100.
  24. I made a post asking about that over on DTW and i'm sure I will hear the down side of it. I was just thinking about ot for guys with like full bolt ons and a turbo or supercharger on high boost.
