Ok, that may be the reason. I thought you were talking 1/2 ton. I do believe there is a manual that is in the 3/4 ton hemis. I might try to find one of those trannys and see if it will hook up to my truck easily. It would be nice having a HD tranny in my truck like the Lightnings. Maybe someone else could chime in with the tranny options in the 2500's that know better than I do. EDIT: Just did some checking on the Dodge website and you are infact correct. The base transmission is a 6 speed manual. The auto is an upgrade and it is a 4 speed in the hemi 3/4 ton.

Sure it wasn't a v6 or 4.7 liter? the only tranny the hemi has ever had is the 545RFE and it is a 5 speed auto. No one on any of the 3 dodge forums I post on has a manual hemi that i have noticed. Even in the tranny sections no one ever talks about them.

ProudHemi, I can bark them shifting 1-2 after the superchips. Never 2-3 though. I can burn out from a punch into 3rd though. I wish our trucks could have a manual tranny though....

Unless i'm going to the drag strip the farthest North I pretty much ever travel is sunset and that is seldom. I pretty much stay south of warm springs and gas is always expensive up here. The closest chevron to my house is normally .10 more expensive too, the one on 515 and horizon.

Haha my dad rented a new suburban with the 5.3 because we had to drive 800 miles and me and him took it out and were doing donuts in it. I couldn't get it to start sliding because it hase an open rear end but my dad did it fine. I also felt like I was going to roll it when I got on it and was turning. I know it was in a huge ass suburban but i'm kind of dissapointed in the power that motor had. When I went WOT it didn't feel like it. They should have stuck the 6.0 in a car that big.

My older brother has a v6 charger, i have gotten to drive it a few times and it doesn't burn out. I think it's a nice car though and has enough power for the average driver. It has no problem keeping it's speed going up mountains and all that. They are VERY heavy too. I wish he would have gotten an srt8 or r/t though. He's trading it in for an srt8 challenger when those come out though.

Yeah people are rediculous. I was at a party a few months ago and this dude was hitting on my girl friend, I went up and politlely told him to back off. He did for a while then he came up to me an hour or two later all drunk waiving his knife around saying he was going to stab me. Well he stabbed me haha. As soon as that happened I punched him in the nose as hard as I could and he dropped the knife. I got on his back and slammed his face into the cement and he ended up with a broken nose from my fist, lost 3 teeth, broken jaw in 2 places and broke the bones around his left eye. It seems to me the kids that start fights and use weapons are the biggest pussies. I'm not an aggressive person but have never run from a fight with anyone, never used a weapon either. Lots of these kids get a gun or a knife and just think they are invicible. I've seen him a few times since and he always walks off when he sees me. It's funny I just have a little scar on my arm but his face is permanently ****ed. These types of people are just too afraid of a good old ass beating. Honestly, if it's just fists it doesn't hurt that bad.

yeah I love listening to my grandpa tell me about WWII. He wasn't in europe though he was in the pacific and they had to deal with some crap. My grandpa and one of my uncles are pretty normal, one of my uncles though is crazy after vietnam, he was shot three times and burned pretty bad with a flame thrower and is still alive and quite healthy. He said he has flashbacks every time he closes his eyes of the first person he had to kill because his LT. ordered him to shoot an unarmed fleeing civilian who was running away. Chevy should have used the 5.3 as the powerplant on the joe gibbs silverado, that truck would be absolutely amazing. It still is but it would be better. What do they run in the 1/4 stock?

Marine SGT, the reason I say the look has changed a bit is because my grandpa was a marine in WWII I have 2 uncles who were marines in Vietnam my dad was in the first gulf conflict and I have a cousin who is currently serving our country in afghanstan as a marine and when I look at their boot camp photos my grnadpa looked the most ready to kill, then my uncles, then my dad and then my cousin. I think it also may be that they don't beat the poo out of you in boot now as they did back when they were really alowed too. However, I do not know for sure as I am not a Marine. As soon as I finish college i will be though so I will be able to come back and say whether I had a good idea of what I was talking about or not. (I know I don't as no one does until they go in and get that rude awakening haha)

That's very good coolblue, I hate going to restaurants and seeing children jump up and down in their seats and make alot of noise. I would have been screwed if I EVER did anything like that, even in mcdonalds haha. Bad words were a big no no as well in my house until I was around 16 or 17, my parents figured if they hadn't raised me correctly by then, then I was a loss cause which is true. I haven't had a curfew since I could drive and I do drink but have never driven drunk or gotten into any legal trouble or trouble at school. I don't think alot of people realize that by telling a kid not to drink or whatever it only makes them want to do it more. I was raised to have fun but to use my brain. My parents obviously didn't want me around people drinking or whatever when I was 13 but when I was old enough to drive they didn't care what I did as long as I was responsible and maintained a 3.0 in school. I was visiting my aunt and uncle over christmas and whenever their kids wanted me to do something with them they demanded, I made them ask respectfully before I would take them. My mom and dad were amazed how some people are raised. Also their rooms are all messes, when I was that age I had to make my bed every morning (no one does that now) also if my room was dirty my dad (being fresh out of the marine corps when I was little) would make a pile in the middle of my room with EVERYTHING in my room and make me put it away. That taught me pretty early to keep my stuff clean. I think parents are too easy on their kids now and don't parent. You are right over leading by example, my aunt and uncle had a christmas party and one of my cousins was calling this little girl a bitch and ho because he sees daddy jokingly call mommy that alot. Oh yeah, this kid is 6.

If you have children just raise them correctly. I am not a ****, I don't use weapons, i'm not fat, I got straight A's in high school and I know how to respect people and I don't start fights or act like a gangster ass tough guy, I also wear my pants how they should be worn. You can raise a good person today, it just may take more work than it did as when you guys were kids. Our society needs kids being raised in homes where they are actually raised as repectful hard working citizens and not all these terrible parents with gangster stupid kids. My dads sister has 3 boys unde rthe age of 7 and they are allowed to swear if they are singing, they also sag and talk about hitting women (their dad is a gangster mexican guy) and it makes me sick seeing how my cousins are. This is todays problem, we have people raising their kids to be peices of crap.

I have another scenario mark is made fun of by the kids at school... 1973: mark beats some of the kids up for the insults and it's over 2006: mark comes to school with homemade bombs and fully automatic firearms and shoots up his school. I think kids are desensiticed (sp) by video games now and don't really think about killing and all that with the same consiquences they used too. I am almost 19 so I know how that is, there were two shooting at my school this year, a few stabbings and a few jumpings by baseball bats. That would never happen 30 years ago. I was stabbed in the arm a few months ago at a party as well so I know people use weapons. The kid was a little shit that couldn't fight with his fists so he used a knife. He ended up getting it alot worse though once he lost the knife and my adrenaline was pumping. My dad was a marine and he said the reason he thinks boot is easier now is because people don't have to really be brain washed to go and kill people now, video games and movies did it for the millitary. Same reason marines don't have the same look in their eye now that they used too.

Since I live in las vegas i'll be down at the strip. I haven't shaved in a few days so I won't get hassled by cops haha. Anyone that will be in vegas this weekend, watch out the cops are out in FORCE. I saw 7 people pulled over on the side of 215 today. The news said there will be zero checkpoints but they have more than tripled the number of cops on night patrol.
