  1. No it super simple. this was my first time doing something like this. it could be better in a few spots. I will redo a few pieces as I was no using heat at first. then I started using a heat gun and that made it easy. this stuff is awesome. but buy the nice 3M wrap if your going to do it. I bought some cheaper stuff the first time and ended up getting the 3M stuff instead.
  2. paint matched the removable inserts on the wheels as well.
  3. Well the SS has been great but it just doesn't fit our family's needs anymore. with owning a house we needed a truck. So the tbss is going bye bye and we bought a pickup. of course I'll still have the forever on going SSS project that will never leave. Well I have always wanted a Trailblazer SS I bought one 8 months ago or so. after 3k miles it spun a rod bear( which is VERY common) So after $4k for a new motor it had 4k miles on it again and what do you know another spun rod bearing. So the motor is back out and its getting redone. Yes it had the new oil pickup tube installed the last time. the PCM4LESS one. I was just looking at trading it in right before this happened. So I'm glad I held off because I would feel like a complete Ass if somebody else bought it from the dealer and this happened to them. Anyways after that I decided it was time to find a truck I wanted.I have been wanting a Duramax for some time now So i figured what the heck. I searched online a bit but everything I was finding was 1200-1500 miles away. I was needing a vehicle asap as we were down to the wifes yukon and with both of us having full time jobs one vehicle wasn't going to fly. I found this 2011 Silverado 2500HD LTZ Duramax so I picked it up. I'm loving it so far. it has 77k on the clock. performance wise its stock. only has a few small add-ons. it was a older guy who owned it. He only installed a spray in bed liner, B&W gooseneck hitch, running board, lift kit with after market wheels and tires and dvd screens in the rear headrest for his grand kids. over all I'm really pleased with it. I have done a few things to it already but the wife says I need t hold off on the big stuff until I sell the TBSS. I have done the following. removed the door molding removed Z71 decals. color matched the front and rear bowtie's Added color matched vent visors color matched the removable inserts on the aftermarket wheels wrapped the fake wood interior trim pieces with 3M 3d carbon wrap. Tomorrow it goes in for a new windshield that will be fully tinted 70% then 5% tint all all other windows. I bought 3 sets of Rigid L.E.D dually lights for it. two sets will be fogs and one set with be back up lights . need to install this weekend. other plans are BMF novakane death metal 20x10 with toyo open country tires 33/12.50 or 35/12.50 paint match front and rear bumpers along with grill. rigid 20" led bar in front bumper opening. rollup bed cover after power train warranty. it will get DEF delete with a H&S tuner, intake and exhaust . then possibly a Rigid 54" radius L.E.D bar across the front window. Then I'll be done for awhile. I hate the factory fake wood grain crap so I had to charge it up asap. So I wrapped it in 3D carbon wrap.
  4. Dang. Wish I would have known about this. I would have picked it up. seems like a fair deal.
  5. True. i actually just went back to a 4WD duramax. but we do have a AWD tbss in the fleet still as well.
  6. Sweet!!!! did you get the AWD Model?
  7. Wow sorry to hear about the truck getting beat up. But on the other hand you will really like the Seirra Denali. I almost bought one about 8 months ago. they are pretty sweet. what color did you get?
  8. Any of you guys have a 2011 Duramax? What issues do you ave with it? like dislikes? looking at one with 77k on the clock all stock.

  9. Yeah that subie should have yanked you. not saying your slow but they run good. I have a lot of good friends who have them around here. Awd wrx and wrx sti are everywhere here. my boosted ss ran a 04 peanut eye STI and he pulled me by about a car. then I turned on the bottle and waxed him.
  10. I saw that yesterday as well. looking pretty sweet bud . I was going to post it here yesterday but forgot once I got home. Lol
  11. Looks like a great start to your project. like said above great deal on the cladding. Looks like a great start to your project. like said above great deal on the cladding.
  12. you can not reuse it because the 4l80e transmission is longer then then the 4l60 65 70e. So when you mount the t-case to the transmission it pushes it back farther back. so its not long enough and the rear driveshaft will need to be shortened. I had both of mine done for $375.00 with new u-joints on both shafts.
  13. Good luck with your search. Your best best is just watch Ebay from time to time. Thats where I found both of mine. Both new in the box. Think I paid around. $120.00 or so shipped each. still never took them out of the boxes.
  14. If it really came down to it I could always meet up with the guy and ship it for him.
  15. there is a guy a few hours away from me who is selling one. seems like a fair deal. not mine just one I came across. http://wyoming.craigslist.org/pts/4789872296.html
  16. Normally somethinglike that would run you. 400-500 from what I remember. Depending on the brand of course.
  17. So will the truck crank at all? or is it cranking but wont start?
  18. What all is done to your truck? Performance wise? how many miles on this diff and how many miles on the last diff before it broke?
  19. Nice. I figured you had a goal you were shooting for it you haven't sprayed it yet.
  20. Nice work. Moves out for sure. So are you just wanting to stay n/a or have you thought about some spray? It would move out on the bottle.
  21. Well your PRND switch is located on the side of the transmission might want to check to make sure its plugged in. it will not start if its not.like you said. because the computer doesn;t know what gear its in and wont start. its located on the drivers side of the truck. its black and its located right where you cable bolts to the side of the transmission. Its the black deal facing towards the front of the transmission. it should have 2 plugs on it.
  22. Sounds great and looks awesome too. nice work fella. Did you keep the same compression as the lq9. I know Zippy likes that higher compression with these turbo builds.
