  1. Thats a real bummer. Sucks people cant leave other peoples stuff alone.
  2. I also owned a 98 GSR that was pretty clean. it was boosted as well. it was done by speed factory out of washington. it ran really good. Also owned a 91 rare GSR with a B17 really kicking myself for selling this one. here was my crx
  3. Every nice. sweet color too. I had a 90 CRX with a b16 out of a EM1 that had head work and it was boosted fun little ride. moved out pretty good on 9lbs.
  4. Boo. thats a clean looking little EG coupe. I did the Honda thing for along time. I have a soft spot for Hondas. I actually looked for a long time for a EM1 Civic I will own one at some point. I just want a clean DD EM1 lower on some CCW wheels with a nice N/A motor. your car looked clean. So did it get stolen from you or somebody else you sold it too?
  5. nice what heads stock 317 or custom?
  6. Hellz yeah. In for a video. Did you swap over your cam or was it to small?
  7. Well I looked at a few different options once it came to coating the frame. I looked a doing the POR 15 coating then paints it then powder coating it. I talked with a rep for por 15 the he said he didn't think his product was for my frame because it was to clean and there was no rust. with paint I figured it would scratch to easy. I have PC a few different pieces on my atv which takes a lot more abuse then this truck ever will and the PC has yet to chip and start to flake. I powered coated my atv frame and a-arms and 3 years later they still look great and I haven't had any issues. Plus My truck doesn't get driven like a normal truck. i have owned it for 8 years and have only put 10k miles on it. I did not drive it on gravel roads or in crappy weather only nice days. where its sunny and dry. thats why i went with pc. my pc guy has done many frames and said it holds up great. When I jack the truck up. I only jack up on the lower a-arm and the rear end/ So I'm not worried about chipping it do to lifting it.
  8. Well almost two years ago now I ripped into the SS with plans of rebuilding it and getting the frame powder coated. well things came up where I just simply didn't have time to work on it had our first child, bought a new home, got busy with landscaping and all that goes along with owning a new home. Well I finally started getting some extra time and got the frame stripped to bare metal and off to the PC shop it went. I got the frame back today and started putting some of it back together. I'm at a stand still because I'm waiting for my a-arms and rear leaf spring to get back from the shop. I'm having all new bushings installed in the truck I went with the full energy suspension bushing kit. it was the master set and pretty much came with all the bushings for the truck. Here it is as it sits. its going to be so nice to get it back together and actually be able to drive it.
  9. Pretty stoked. Just got pictures from my Powder coat guy. the SSS frame is all done and ready to pickup. hellz yeah it can start going back together. its been to long.

Sounds like quite the project to have the frame powder coated! Post up some pics when you get a chance

  10. Yeah I'll post some pictures. Not sure when it will be done. its been at the PC shop for two weeks. but I told him I wasn't in a rush so will see.

I'd have a hard time leaving the house in those temp's, let alone work in the cold.

  12. So what compression are you running? do you have a build thread. I'm going back in my SS with a LQ4 and I'd like to bring the compression up and do a cam. so if I don;t want to just mill my 317 to get my compression up I'm thinking of getting a set of heads.
  13. What are size combustion chambers are you running? are LS6 heads the catherdral ports?
  14. Why don't don't you guys take it to PM instead of spreading all your dirty laundry and shitting on somebody's thread? this is high school stuff. Like I said above I never intend to sell my SSS. I could only pull 16k or a bit more and thats just not worth it to me.
  15. I'm the same way. I don't forsee ever selling mine.I have mine since the end of 2006. Its a part of me. My wife has even named it and says its my other wife. I can see why guys are selling there. because left face it they are getting old. mine is now 11 years old. guys want something new. I agree I'm not a fan of the new Denali look. I'd take a 2007-2013 over the new body style. I just really like the classic crewcabs 03-07 body style.
  16. yeah but a battery cant put out a good voltage but still have a bad cell. I would load test it. most auto parts store should do it for free. might take 30 mins to a hour. but it will tell you rather its good or not.
  17. Its either that or you grill is throw ing me off. it could be because of you grill being all billet. just looks like you have a big gap around your head light and grill on top. if you put a 05+ hood on a 03-04 front end it will do that also if you put a 03-04 grill on and 05+ front end you will have gaps so I wasn't sure. could just be your grill. look at the gap where your hood meets the grill and headlights.
  18. So your head lights a grill dont match up to the hood.. how come you went with 05 + front grill and headlights?
  19. Well the first time I had the truck torn down to the frame was to get the frame powered coated. It has zero rust on it but the factory under coating was so soft every time you would touch it. it would leave you messy. so I got tired of it a decided to have it powered coated. well I never got a chance to get it to the powered coating shop before we bought a new home so I put everything thing back together so I could move the truck all as one piece instead of moving it in many different pieces which I would risked messing up the bed and cab this way. so after getting all settled in our new home I took it apart last weekend for the second time. Now the frame is at the PC shop getting coated. after its back from the PC shop it will finally start going back together after having it torn down for almost 2 years. I stripped the frame by hand with a chemical. took FOREVER!!! So the hard part is over and the fun of putting it back together begins. I really enjoy working on stuff like this. i would rather turn wrench's on toys like this instead of drive them. It seems like when I get down building a project I sell it just to be able to build another one and enjoy it. I already have another project in line after this one and thats doing a LS swap into my 1997 SS S10. In montana they don't use salt on the roads so you don't have to worry about rust. all the older cars around here are normally rust free.
  20. Yeah its not always be that way. i just had to throw it back together when I had it torn down the first time. we bought a new house and I needed the truck as a roller to be able to move it.
  21. gotcha. So what truck are you doing this in? RCSB I see it has manual trans.
  22. I was thinging of trying to do something similar while my truck is completely torn down. still not sure. I will for sure be cleaning up a ton of wire and how its routed once it starts going back together. So how are you planning on covering up the fuse block where it set now in the cab?
  23. its pretty simple to remove the airbag. you just need a small allen wrench. something like this
  24. No its my buddies lift. our ceiling in the garage aren't tall enough or I'd have one. I wont buy another home without enough room for a lift. Lol I would never lift a SS. I'd set it on fire before that. The first time I removed the cab by myself and it was super sketchy to say the least. I didn't damage it the first time doing it by myself thankfully.
  25. So I know most of you don't care for lifted SS but I wanted something different. I only did a body lift. its just a mild body lift lol!!! Heres how it sat before. Heres how its sitting after the body lift. Heres my little helper. our only child so far. crazy to think he will be 2 in march. time by so fast after having him. you need to start them young. lol
