Well at about 930 this morning i got a call from one of the track operators for our drag strip. we have a new owner and his proposial was accepted by the fair board last night. and as soon as a few more legal matters are worked out we should be up and running in about 30-45 days. a bit of a late start but its better than nothing at all. will keep everyone updated as i get the info on it so if anyone close wants to come and run ill get a deal worked out for ya as far as intry or something ..........Dale

im intrested just let me know when and where .......not looking good on getting the drag car out so ill be running around in the truck and 48 this summer most likely ................

I get 14.7 driving in town or highway with or without the trailer and i usually only use 87 oct also never had any ping problems even on the drag strip

Not sure on adding it to the factory tach. mine is hooked in with my Auto Meter tach. you may have to go that route to be able to get it right ..............

No the dirt track and the drag strip are ran as seperate deals and with seperate promoters. go figure the dirt track has people from Terre Haute First national Bank backing them. just have to see what happens to the strip. im hoping they find a new money person or persons for sure. its sad to see the nations verry first 1/8th mile NHRA sanctiond track go down this way .

Im looking at New Hope, freedom, and Indy. i know im not going to be able to run any place for points due to having to tow so far now. but maby ill still get to run every now and then ..............the track here is leased out by the fair board. and they are a really had bunch to deal with. then you have to add in the up keep on the track , insurance , and all that bull. so its not looking so good for us home town guys anyway.

Well last night was our awards baniquet for the drag strip. and after the awards we found out the track is in alot of truoble and may not be open this year. so im eather looking for a new place to run or gunna have a race car for sale not really sure yet ...............

add a ceoss over or balance pipe in between the pipes just before the mufflers dosent have to be really big maby 1-1.5 pipe to connect them together it did really good on mine

where you from and is the old cover already spoken for if not what ya want for it ?

if you did a check on most tires youd be suprised just how many of them were owned by goodyear. they own alot of tire companies. but that dosent mean there all made by goodyear or like there way over priced name brand. these tires so far are in no way any comparance of the stock ones that came on the truck. i pulled my trailer today and couldnt believe it its like night and day.

they hook really good alot better than the goodyears i tried that out before leaving Tire Barn with them ................

so far as far as wet roads there great. got to do some driving today with them and they do take the wet corners alot better than the old gooyears did. dont know about alot of rain or snow yet but looking at the tred pattern and they way they are so far id say there gunna be a really good tire. and there not as loud on the highway as the goodyears were either. so far on the first 50 miles on them i like alot better than others ive had.

well did some more calling around and pricing online. finally today went and got the new tires for the SSS. got them at Tire Barn there 275/55/20 stock size. the tread looks great and its supposed to be a 50,000 mile tire. its called a FIERCE ST. ive only drove home on them so far but can tell a big dif from the stock Goodyears. will let everyone know more about them after i get some miles and driving time on them. as soon as the wife comes home with my truck ill try to get a pic of the tread and post it. out the door with tax and all i spent 540.24.

Id like to make anouther one its just according to when it is if i could make it or not. our track here opens on april 4th for test and tune so ill be there working plus trying to line the car out. if by chance anyone wanted to maby have one here in terre haute i know the owners of our 1/8 th mile track here really good and could possibly get something set up with them for us.

not sure about times for yours but brothers S-10 with his 355 runs 6.20-6-30s in the 1/8 th and best of an 11.12 in the 1/4 so far. heres a couple of pics .......................lol

Just wondering if anyone here has worked for a GoodYear service center. i am going for an interview on friday with them. and just wondering how it was. im going for just a minor service tech pos. im getting tired of all the drawn out stuff you have to do any more just to find out whats going on with the cars any more and major work. guess im getting lazy in my old age .......................lol
