Yea I know what you mean. I cant stand to text but my girlfriend does nothing but text. She texts me and gets mad when I call her to talk....in fact I hate having a stupid cell phone all together.

I used to work for a company that did heavy maintenance on UPS aircraft. When we would deliver the aircraft back to UPS we had to tag along and make sure it didn't break. So we would just sit there and bullshit with the UPS reps. (who get paid mighty well) and I watched them load up. Everything that UPS touches has a deadline...the people on the ground hurry up and cram all the boxes and cargo in as fast as they can to not be late. If that plane was scheduled to leave at 8:00 the pilots allready had it running and ready to move by 7:50. If the doors were not closed by the 8:00 deadline the reps would call it a late shipment and their rep said that the cargo would then have to be shipped for free. Just the planes I worked on would bring over 1 million dollars a flight for ups. I hear its upwards of 5-10 mill for the bigger 747's and such. UPS dosnt care if they mess up a box or two all they care about is money.

How do all the diff. states do there fuel grades. I know here in Texas premium gas is 93 octane and in others its 91 octane so whats the reason?

I was in the Army then and driving to work with my roommate. I had a cd playing on the stereo so no news. My roommate kept getting a call from his girlfriend and after about the 4th time of her calling he finally answered it. He said that she wants us to turn on the news about some plane crash in N.Y. so we both ignored her until he said that she was crying....life in the Army wasn't the same ever again. We stayed at the hanger for a good 36 hours just listening and watching all the events that unfolded and we had to immediately set up guard posts and roving guards to secure the airfield...the MP's had the post and us aviation fellas had the airfield. Ft. Hood used to be an open post meaning that anyone at anytime could drive on and off with no id checks or anything..after the attacks all of Ft. Hood was closed off to everyone not mission essential. If you were in line to get on post then you were stuck and if you were on post you couldn't get off. I think we had only half of our whole battalion actually show up everyone else was stuck in line trying to get onto post. It was damn eary to look up and not to see one aircraft civilian or military in the sky. That was one long day that I will never forget
