Mopar REVolution
SRT-10 Ram = $42,000-$45,000 Like I said before, this is the MSRP, and smart buyers knew where to go, and got them for $42,000 with no markup. It does run a 13.1, if not quicker. Just wait and see. Even if it did run a 13.6, that's still almost 2 seconds quicker than the SS. The SS is nice looking, I'll admit that, but GM should have put more performance in their Performance truck, that's all I'm really trying to say. Kind of like the smart buyers on here who can get an SS AND mod it enough to beat the SRT-10 for under $42K.

The whole point is that it's STOCK, and can run a 13.1....a time that only a fairly modded SS can reach. If that is all that's important, then YOU, should just go get a Lightning and bug the guys on the NLOC board. Stock, MUCH cheaper than a SRT-10, and can still do 13.1. Most important for comparison purposes, it's also single cab and two-wheel drive. The SS doesn't meet that criteria, in case you weren't aware. Most of us got what we have because it's what we wanted, so don't care too much about what we "could" have gotten. Even if the SRT-10 could do 10.1 in the 1/4, I'd still have what I have if they were the SAME price. Something that has been bred into me about buying foreign made trucks - it just isn't happening. Which by the way - Dodge qualifies for that criteria.

nmpianalto
Sorry to be negative, but why are dodges gas engines getting better and the trucks are not looking any better, i would HATE to be out-run by that ugly-a$$ new dakota.. zippy
i do stand on the side of the srt-10 running low 13's stock. even motor trend which is certainly not known for it's drivers and neither are ran on a prepped track, motor trend got a 13.19 out of it. i see 12's coming from the srt-10 ram without much trouble in future testing. i don't feel the dodge is the truck of choice by far, but dodge did back it's sport truck with performance. dollar for dollar, the lightning beats it. dodge's 5.7 vs. chevy's 6.0 though, not even close.
