faceliftedss Posted January 18, 2008 Report Share Posted January 18, 2008 hey man i got a question for you. i got a buddy who has simuilar HP goals for his SS and he is looking for a tranny, how would you reccomend finish line transmissions. i dont think the switch from a 4L65E to a 4L80E would be too difficult losing the AWD of course. any thoughts? I can recommend FTL based on the customer service and track record, They built Parish's tranny and it has held up to hundreds of 1/4 mile passes. shouldn't be to much longer for mine to fire up. Right now Rick is working on swapping out my AWD T-case for a Two wheel drive unit so he can get it on His dyno, the AWD T-case will be going back in after it is tuned. 2004Denali Posted January 19, 2008 Author Report Share Posted January 19, 2008 (edited) so you can run AWD with the 4L80E? i didnt know that. yep, you just need to get a new input Gear in the Transfer case for the 4L80 160.00 dollars Or you can get a different Transmission Shaft, Chuck from FLT recommended to do the Input gear on the NVG 149 because it is stronger.
