This year Sneak Previews takes a look at GMPP's announced ZZ572 due to be released sometime in the near future. GM Performance parts was kind enough to provide us with the specifications to share with everyone.

Ok, we've looked. All we can say is it's the stupendous! Not only is it a dream big-block engine, but GM has two versions. One suitable for street/strip and the other one we can't imagine being used for anything but the race track.

Be forewarned though, you will need your sunglasses when you take a peek at this beaut. It's BRIGHT red color just might be more then your eyes can handle at first.

Gm plans to use the marketing names of ZZ572/620 and ZZ572/720R. I can only assume that the R in ZZ572/720R stands for "Race" and race it will, that's for certain.

Great site, great information and discussion. It may have already been addressed, but it would be nice to have a dedicated section for recalls & TSB's. I try to search for past posts but you have to get the wording exactly right or you don't find them.

I found another SS owner in a restaraunt the other day and gave him the site address. He has two other buddies that drive the SS also. He was very excited to have a forum to log into!

Keep up the GREAT work!

Site is pretty good.

Too bad it's wasted on such a pitiful excuse for a "performance" truck.

Let's think about what "SS" means....

Hmmmm....looks like GM will be wasting this badge on yet another poor performance vehicle (wimpala, monte carslo).

I'm 20.....and I was on track to be a lifelong chevy man.......but Ford, here I come.

Dred

See Ya, we don't need ya :seeya:

the site is great! and wimpala! kinda funny.

Ladies and learned gentleman, may I post one from my section-manager of the peanut dept with little or no information regarding modificationsto a factory stock unit. People walk over and ask about the truck-people poiny at the SS and give me thumbs up going down the road, I stopped beside a man, his salesperson and his wife or girlfried riding it the back oh a Lightning, I rolled down my window and told him if we switched trucks for teo blocks it might make him better informed. He wanted to try it, but his salesperson from Ricart Ford in Columbus was on the verge of dialling 911 for assistance, so we settled for merely cruising side by side. Don't know what he finally decided/

There was a Yenko Camaro at the track last night. It was a very clean car and ran pretty well. He seemed to have a worse limited slip rearend than my truck though....

Dred

More than likley was not a Yenko. Only 201 where made and are well over $120k each. I dont think anyone would be racing it. What you saw was a clone.
