MID12sSSS
Holy crap! You got a TPIS?! RB! Lol. They quoted me like $600 + a 90mm TB core. So all said and done it was about a $800 TB. How did he say it'd fit your 2300?

How did he say it'd fit your 2300? lmao...I talked with Ray for a while about it - he makes a spacer for the inlet to allow the blade to open properly for like 86 bucks I think and everything just bolts right up 1 - 2 - 3 he said. Only purchasing from him everything ended up costing me $1129.50 shipped, but that includes the bolts, gaskets, spacer, TPIS and shipping. If you go on the TPIS website, they want a $450.00 core charge which ends up being $1050...buying through Ray was 50$ cheaper...how the hell did you get a quote for only 800? MID12sSSS
Haha okay. No it's been like 2 years since I was pursuing the TPIS. $1100 sounds more like it. Lol.
rcapone
Bro, I was sticker shocked for like 2 hrs after I called him and he gave me the numbers. After I did a little more research, I called him back and ordered one...basically I just closed my eyes thinking beautiful thoughts about me winning a bunch of $ while I'm in Vegas in a couple of weeks to pay for all this shit! ...then I gave him my debit card # lol. I figured fuggit, I know I would regret not getting a good throttle body later down the road - especially since it's such an integral part for the Maggie. MID12sSSS
Yeah. I couldn't believe the price of them myself. Frickin crazy. But, it sure will be nice! Lol. Better be for $1000!

BLOWN SS/T
The problem with the TB was with the gold blades and x link, according to TRP the newest version of the x link is designed around the gold blade and so far hasn't had any complaints. With previous versions of the x link combined with the newer ls3/7 gold blade TB's is where the issue was at. If you ran a silver blade ls2 TB with older x link then you were good to go, problem was/is the silver blade TB is more $$$. Grant @ TRP told me using the silver blade ls2 TB with newest x link wont open the blade 100% because of how it was designed to work around the gold blade TB's and those are opened 100% with newest x link.I bought the newest x link and running an ls2 silver blade and im getting 100% open blade it looks like. The silver blade ls2's are also better for boost, people have complained about the ls3 sticking with boost. probably confusing info lol

Hope I didn't just wipe my ass with a G! You know the old saying. You gotta pay to play. Yeah, I'm finding out this can easily get out of hand quickly! I'm sure Brandon can vouch for that too lol
BLOWN SS/T
Sounds like no telling what my red blade will do then! Hope I didn't just wipe my ass with a G! I think what you bought is based off of a ls2 silver blade, which would mean its the stronger TB and ideal one for boost application... This with the new x link according to TRP will open the blade 85-90% only, but im running the same setup and it looks like my blade opens 100% of the way. lol so I think your golden, shouldn't have any issues unless there is something wrong with the TB. Beat down on anything recently with the tvs?
rcapone
Some poor bastard in an Impala SS flexed up on me like one day after I got the Maggie installed... http://www.silveradoss.com/forums/topic/85748-let-the-games-begin/
