  1. Pick up one off your brake pads, throw it over the two piston, and compress, you can even use big channel locks.

     

    Hell, not sure where u r at now, maybe you should disconnect the caliper and have it rebuilt, could off torn a piston seal by now? :confused:

     

    FYI, next time you need to remove the caliper for somthing like that, you can stick a screw driver in the top off the caliper and pry between the caliper and inside off the rotor, to spread the pads, U only need a little bit.

  2. Your Main Problem is your in ALASKA!!

     

    We Have VERY $hitty mechanices up here, @ least 80% are "Shade Tree" at best.

     

    So Because they cant diag, or operate Basic Tools, they Hold the Customer responsible to supply them with endless parts tell they get it fixed.

     

    Try having trans work done or any diag.!

     

    When I first blew my truck under Warrenty, I told them what was wrong and I had no Signal from the crank sensor.

     

    LITHIA Had there tech, call me personally asking for $250 to put plugs into this thing to get it running.

     

    Then Proceeded to tell me how the plugs being fowled are whacking out the EGR system.

     

    ADRENALINE shot through my Vanes as I told him to show me the F-ing EGR valve! :fume:

     

    then they voided my warrenty and held my truck hostage for $1300 in Diag fee's :noway:

  3. lol i know how to pernounce it hey u comin down riddler or u still a no show....?? :) .... well i went around town 1 ss at a time and some tbss handed out some sweet flyers that i made in like 1 minute...... lol also i went by the coffee shop talked to that chick...... ak04ss u didnt tell me she was hot (ss i mean)!! that chick wasnt bad either who am i kiddin she was good lookin :) man i dont know how she pays for that SS that coffee shop cant be the only source of income.... well anyways gave her a flyer and told her what we were doin and she was like whats a meet and i told her what a meet was lol...... but to finish this story she said maybe said she might be busy...... so im hopin she comes cuz that :chevy: ss is SWEET and the gurl is a added bonus!!! :cheers: so if i calculated it right we might have close to 8-10 ss's

    Also, Coffe Girls make Bank! My Woman was a coffe girl for a few years. She worked the morning shift and she averaged her pay in tips, to $17.00hr, and that's TAX Free! So she needed a job that she made at least $20 an hour to replace it.

     

    BTW, she was in anchorage all week, she jus left Friday.

     

    Also, 10zin, I t sounds like that chick aint comming, U gotta Realize, she gets hit on all day. So she prolly thought thats what u were doin.

     

    "Might be Busy" that means she is gonna try to be busy so she has an excuse to tell U next time u come by, LOL

  5. WHAT????? Are you saying you pay 3 thousand bucks a year for insurance? Holly Christ, and I thought I paid a lot at a thousand a year for two new cars.

     

    I dont pay it. but If I have full coverage on my SS it would be more then that.

     

    Right now I pay $130 a month for Liability W/ Fire,theft and Vandelism.

     

    And when I take it off insurance, it cost me $45 a month, to have it parked with theft and vandelism only.

     

    Note: They charge you extra for Medical w/ your liabilty. U can Drop that. My Insurance Agent said that if you have medical insurance allready,( like through work ). then you are double paying. and pretty much everyone does it.

    I droped the medical on me, and saved almost $30 a month.

  6. i got about another 15k to go.....i dont understand why people pay there truck off FINALLY and then go from full covereage to liability.....wouldnt it be just the opposite ????? makes no sense to me

     

    Ditch the Full Coverage... :devil: Especially if you are mechanically incline. ues that extra couple hundred buck your saving to buy your VETTE! :D

     

     

    Insurance Prices are outragouse. Full Coverage is throwing you money away.

     

    I can put a front clip on my truck for under $1500, that is about 4 months of Insurance!

     

    I waited tell I could buy mine outright, but it was used, only paid 20k.

  8. Good tuner or not you can't fix the IAT being on the inlet side. A good example is a member from the board who lives in Alaska. He has a 408 built for boost and running a Vortech system without an intercooler. Under wide open the IAT's read colder because underhood heat is no longer effecting the sensor's reading, but the freezing cold air outside that's rushing through at a very high rate of speed is. An S-trim Vortech without an intrercooler spinning fast enough to make 10psi of boost on a 408 is spinning fast enough that it's likely increasing the IAT's on the compressor side 60 degrees or more during a quarter mile run. What you'd as an example there is an IAT sensor that read's say 40 degrees crusing and will shoot down to 30 degrees under wide open when it should be reading about 70 degrees IAT at cruise and shooting up to say 130 degrees from there on a wide open pass. That is no way to tune for that properly. Outside air temperature readings are useless when what you need is the temperature of the air going into the cylinders. On a non-intercooled system you could see a 100 degree difference easily between the air entering the filter and air entering the intake.

     

    I moved the IAT on the Motor Zippy's is mentioning to the boosted side,

     

    On a 25 degree day, under 10psi of boost my IAT temps before the throttle body were 190-200 degrees.

     

    I am running up too 180 degree's hotter then ambeint.

     

    And to quote, "a good tuner can compensate" Answer.

     

    I bought this Set Up for my specific truck, it had Vortech's Vin Specific program. No Other Aftermarket parts except a K&N Filter in stock airbox. And It blew up Badly!!! #7 piston was Shatered! rod bent, not much left.

     

    P&S Vortech was not helpful at All. and My Warrenty Got Pulled from me!

    That would be the detrming factor of what must stay or go!

     

    If you put on big rims, like a sport truck w/street tires, then....

     

    You must get rid of the chrome bars, bed rails and nerf, fender flares as well.

     

    But if you put wide, larger off-road tires, then the flares and bars would looke good!

     

    Jus my opinion, at any rate the SS bumper has to go,

     

    The SS has a body kit on it that most people dont notice, it makes the truck "wider", so If you look at your bumper it is wider then your truck!

  10. only one of your links work. and it was torsion bar key's intead off spindles like YTTAF stated.

     

    I personally like spindle's so you can still adjust your suspension with the bars to get your ride height jus right without sacrificing suspension travel and the spring rate as much.

     

    Mine in the Sig is a belltech 2-4 drop, and it sits about dead level. no rake to it.

    Anyone have this lil plastic gizmo? Is it worth the 33 bucks? I have the Vara-ram VR-6 and got 3 mpg better and crisper throttle response. Looks like an air restrictor to me.

     

    I have the VR-6 and that thing kinda seems like a P.O.S, it just flops around in there, and the scoop doesnt really line up, Might be cause I have Vortech piping on the other side of the MAF.

     

    And whats up with the rubber elbow that fits loose on there?

     

    How did you get yours to work? I am dying to know! mine is still not on!

    There may be good ones, But I have had to many lie to my face, and it's your word against theres! U get a helpless feeling. They might jus shoot me sometime? and cover it up! :confused: LOL
