  2. This Is an Impossible question! Without knowing what the 350 has done to it? a 350w'400 crank is a 383 strocker.

Are you kidding, there are at least 1000 Cast Iron Heads out there, that are high performance for small block chevy.

Depending on Bore, stroke, heads, cam, compresion, there are a milion variables.

If I had that Camino and three grand to put into a motor, You would not have a chance. lol

(hell I could prolly do it with junk yard parts! :cold: )

  3. I know it is powerful so I really don't need to impress anyone.

? Why try to Impress anyone? Let the Truck Impress You!

There can be Nobody around, but when I slam the Gas get pinned in the seat and the truck gets pushed out shape, I get so excited sometime, I am laughing and holdin back tears!

I am always acused of "Beating on my Equipment". But it is NOT! Using your equipment 100%. Is not "Abuse" Not doing Oil Changes, and proper service is abuse! :nono:

I spent alot and I am going to get every penny out of my truck :D

My name is Danny, ...And I am a Hot Rodder,........LOL

  4. I Read ENGINE MANAGEMENT.

The book gave insight on what tuners do.

Was educational, I would recomend it. ( Can Learn how what role all the sensors play and what values they read,etc..)

But..... Was not a how to on tunning. :nono: The book does not go into how and what values to change in your program.

.Still looking for a How To Book. :wtf:

  7. If I were to get rid of the TBSS for another manufactures "halo" brand... i'd probably go with a Jeep SRT8.

^^Not a sport truck,^^Prolly not a suscriber to "Sport Truck or Truckin Magizine",Maybe why You would drive a Jeep? :dunno: lol. "Its a jeep thing, I wouldn't understand."

I totally understand you guys thoughts. I'm one of those guys thats basically a simple "car guy". I dont have a favorite, so to speak. I like anything thats fast and looks good no matter what company or person built it. When I bought my C6, I looked at and test drove Mustangs, Vipers, Porshe, Nissan 300ZX etc. The vette was the best by far. The viper wasnt bad at all, but it lacked the brakes and handling that I was looking for back in 2005. I previously owned a 2004 Lightning that I had moded to 422RWHP (about $3300 worth of mods), it rode great and was a blast to drive. I now have an 04 SS and still have my C6 which I'd ONLY sell to get a C6 Z06. I'm not to impressed with the SS. I looked at the STS rear mount turbo and the radix kit. To much $$$ to sink in it for another 100 +/- 20 HP. Then I have a tranny that will probably have to be upgraded as well. So, its probably gonna have to go. I even considered going to a 2 door diesel, those things are making great numbers with only $1800 worth of mods, but, there HEAVY as a tank. I hope you guys see my point, I'm not bashing the SS, but in stock form, it lacks ALOT if you consider its carrying the legendary SS name. This thing should be damn near the fastest truck on the road, and its not. Not to mention my back windows are seeping wind nosie again and just 2 days ago the tachometer went haywire along with the steering wheel feeling and sounding very sloppy. So again, IF you HAD to buy another sport truck and there were no SS's to be found, what would you do, buy a Tundra?

1st: Why do so many People bag on the SSS, for having the SS badge? "It should be scsb 2wd" it should be this, or That? People always bag on the SS, that it dont live up to the SS badge?

Why not? Super Sport is all SS mean's? Not fastest thing on the planet.

When compared to a non SS truck, it has a sporty interior, sporty exterior, big wheels, and a high output engine! What's wrong with that? (and the AWD IS very Useful for as it can be used year round in any part off the country.)

2nd: We all had a choice off what to buy, didn't we? I new in 2003 I wanted this truck, I could off bought a Lightning, or a srt-10. But In 2006, I bought my 2003 SSS, In So Cal and Had it shipped to Alaska.

Myabe I dont own a SSS, rather the SSS own's me?

(Ive been told if you cant get rid off somthing, then you dont own it. It own's you) lol

  8. Hello" :help:***HPTUNERS****

I just Installed My Victor Jr Intake, 90mm tb and Seimens 60lbs Injectors.

I am currently running a low compression 408, without the blower.

I was up till the WeeHours, Reading forums,Trying to Adjust my Zippy tune w/ 44lbs multec's to my new 60lbs. :sigh:

I just want to drive this truck for the next two days natrually aspirated, then I have to put it away for a month! then I will install my blower after that , and let Zippy handle it from there.

I am running 58psi rail pressure right now, truck fired up a ran good! then after about 5 min seemed to run rich? Idle dropped 200 rpm.

Question is, How does this Log Look, it is just a warm up? Safe to drive? :dunno: (lol).

Any Suggestions or tips to get me runnin' Would be super appreciated!

    Thank You! ~Danny

  9. well I just got off the phone with summit racing & they say no one makes dust boots for our year trucks.

Well, you may be on to somthing?

I have found ball joint dust boots for the 88-98 chevy 4wd. but no 99 and up.

I know I have replace all the boots in the front end of both those body style trucks, And the aftermarket boots dont quite fit right, but they get the job done. So I am thinking maybe my parts guy is just giving us one off a different year? or a universal one? :dunno:

try the Help racks at your local autopart store? try to match it up? or compare it too a 88-98 boot.

    ~Danny

Note: I put "Right Stuff" gasket maker on mine. Holding strong!

  10. cause no one local sells replacement boots & not sure which one to order. I checked They said they sell them, but I need to buy the ball joint to get it. Smart asses!!! So if someone has a part number for the grease boot or where to get them, I'd go that route

Man, I dont have a part # for you. but... At work we are using "Energy Suspension " Brand boots. they are some kind of special rubber, poly urathane I believe? They are supposed to be way better then OEM? :dunno:

Search energy Suspension, or give them a jingle, I know there out there!

  11. is there an easy way to replace the lower ones at home without removing the lower control arm?

Along with Bobwrench , I earlier ,gave advise on this as well,

Ball joint press will, intsall and remove the lower ball joint. Note: U will need to either remove the upper a-arm, or loosen it and push it up out of the way, so u can get the ball joint press in there.

Note: use a paint pen to mark your uppr arm's where the adjusters are , so as not to change alignment.

Personally, I would get the upper ball joints from GM, Why? Cause they will sell you a whole A-Arm. I dont think GM will sell an upper ball joint alone. (they do not reccomend pressing in new joint on the upper).

BTW: If the ball joint's wern't loose, why not jus put, new boots on?("they may have another 50k left in them? :dunno:

  12. :withstupid: That is what I voted as well the 116 in a 22"

Do you have weights for any of these wheels?

116 for sure, U will be the first one to pull off the "tuner Wheel". Ohh in a 24 as well!

BTW: Why does everybody like wide tire's? Kinda Look Like a Skate Board when you have wide ones up front?

    my .02

  13. Most Injector cleaning's can be done with them still in the vehicle.

They disconnect your fuel pump, hook your rail up to a canister filled with concentrate, hit it with about 70pis of shop air and run the vehicle till it dies.

There may be other way's, that is the only way I have done it, or seen it done? not sure.

    ~Danny

  14. Go to the auto part store and get a bottle of octane booster, 1 bottle can boost octane as much as 2 points depending on concentration w/fuel..............

Just a note: I was reading those Octane Booster's at the parts store, and I found:

The ones that say "raise Octane 7 points", if you read the back, "7 points" does not even equall a 1 octane raise.

So the moral is 7 points is not 7 octane. Check it out next time, FYI anyWay
