  1. I've found that if you press the button for driver 1 or 2, which ever you are setting, and hold it for a couple of seconds, the BCM will beep twice, letting you know that it "knows" the new setting. Be it the mirror position, seat position what ever.
  2. Thats good! Aint that the truth! I hear ya bro.
  3. Naww man I was J/K. I wouldn't mind picking up a R6 though, been thinking about that seriously. I was supposed to get a V-Rod about two years ago but the military car sales in Guam never put the order in I ended up getting back my deposit on that one. Back when I was in Germany I had a Hurricane 900, man I loved that thing, wish I would have never gotten rid of it.
  4. Maybe I need to consider one of these. My commute is roughly 100 miles per day. Chit it would pay for itself in a little over 2 months. But I'm sure I'd get the from all the guys at work on their 'Busas, Gixxers, or Hogs.
  5. I hear ya Bro. I just had my first experience with tremors here in Guam last month. Kinda scary as you don't have any warning they are coming. I rode out Katrina, and I'll tell ya its not something I'll do again. Almost three years now and we're still not done fixing the house.
  6. This is a truck style L92 right? Kinda hard to tell from the pic. Cost for shipping to 39571? Thanks
  7. That would be nice. I was able to run down a Miata 'vert that had about a minute head start on me. LOL I caught him and could see the nervous look thru his rear view. I think the Goodyear LS2's howling had a lot to do with it. He finally pulled over and let me go, after I backed off then caught him a couple of times. Just looking for a little improvement, I know the SS will never handle like my Z51 Vette, but its still fun.
  8. How does that 2/3 drop effect handling? Does it reduce the body roll? I use mine for play but also for occasional towing. I took it to the Dragon (US 129) and noticed quite a bit of body roll. Originally I thought it was due to the aspect ratio of the tires, but now I'm kinda wondering.
  9. I wouldn't hack up original emblems. You would be really surprised to find out what those things are worth. There are always restorers that are dying to find original emblems. Just my .02
  10. Hey I see you're from Valdosta. I got relatives there, owner of Southern Telephone Service. Stop by there whenever I'm going to or from Charleston, SC kinda the 1/2 way point. I'm originally from Metter. Currently deployed also, till mid June. Might be up for a road trip sometime after then.
  11. Any P/N for the 05+ electric fan wiring harness?
  12. Yes. Its called harmonics, basically the tire/wheel balances itself out at certain speeds.

Is it just me or does something not look right with those SS badges. They don't look like SilveradoSS badges, maybe TBSS?
  14. Best price I've seen on dynatech's with cats is from RPMoutlet. Of course shpping might be more, can't say, just checking on prices.
  15. The bad thing about that is the companies at the bottom of the list all (with the exception of Sinclair ... not sure about them) buy most of their oil from Venezuela, a country that is very anti-American. Whatever happened to American oil?
  16. Didn't know the IAT was part of the MAF. I erroneously took it that it was a seperate sensor. This is in part from doing the SD tune on my old '90 L98 Vette which was SD from the factory. It had a seperate IAT sensor. Thanks for the tidbit of info. I'm kinda new to tuning these LS based motors myself, but I've done a lot of tuning on L98's and LT1/4s. They all are just a bit different, but much the same.
  17. No problem man. Yea I bet they would have, and probabally charged you to fill your blinker fluid!
  18. If you disconnect the electrical connector to the MAF the PCM should revert to a SD type system. This is built into the tune in case of MAF failure. Tuning SD is a little different ... it relies more on the LTFTs and STFTs which need to be as close to zero as possible. To achieve this takes a lot of data logging and adjusting your VE tables accordingly.
  19. There is a 10A fuse under the hood labeled IPC/DIC ... check that one, its almost in the middle, toward the windshield. Also check all the fuses under the hod fuse panel. I have to pull a bunch of them to get a read on my ECM/BCM. Don't know where they all tie in but many seem to be inter-related.
  20. What width rim? I'm guessing 10". Toyo Proxes S/T 305/40-22 are 31.6 as per their spec sheet. This is what I'm going with when it comes time for new rims/tires.
  21. Old is just a state of mind. BTW I just turned 41. I still feel about 25, just ask the GF
  22. Nike Sumo FTW! Personally I don't like the hybrids as much as a real iron. They have their place though, like coming out of the rough. An iron will try and torque around and you may end up pulling your shot, whereas with the hybrids larger head it resists torquing more. BTW did you happen to see Woody Austin flub that shot with his hybrid at the Zurich in 'Nawlins ... just goes to show even the pros mess up now and again. I agree about the hybrids and the wind. I've been playing on the islands (Hawaii, Saipan, Guam) a good bit lately and there always seems to be a lot of wind. Hard to keep your shot down with those hybrids. Man I really need to invest in a new set of clubs. I've been playing for about 30 yrs, and my current set is a custom set built 15 or so years ago. My swing has changed a lot since I built that set. I was using stiff graphite shafts but I see now I need to go to a regular flex. The last two times I played I used a set of rentals (Nike Sumos) and man I love them. My drives with my set average around 270 - 290, with the Nike Sumo 460 10.5 degree (the round one not the square head) I was averaging 340. No chit. I don't think I've hit a drive 300 in 10 years. My playing partner was like WOW that is impressive, it's going out of sight. One hole, a 507 par 5, my drive was inside 150 .... still made par, dayum 3 putts.
