  1. Seems like back in 1986 we passed: The Immigration Reform and Control Act gives amnesty to approximately three million undocumented residents and provides punishments for employers who hire undocumented workers.
  2. Craig, With 1 more post I hereby pronounce you an official "Post Whore"! Just look at your average daily post count. Now that is talking WAY TOO MUCH! Total Cumulative Posts 999 ( 1.2 posts per day / 0.37% of total forum posts ) Drum roll......Drum roll......Drum roll......Drum roll......
  3. Google "custom wheels", find one you like, then start looking for the best price. For what it's worth, I ended up buying my wheels from my local tire store. I paid more for them, but I didn't have to deal with hassles that may have happened if I had bought from a website. Plus, I get free tire rotations and repair, even though I'm still running my factory tires.
  4. Hey, maybe we could get a group purchase going on one!!
  5. Hey, be brave and do it, who knows, maybe you'll give a rebirth to a old fad!
  6. I've had 2 67 Camaro SS/RS's and if I remember correctly the VIN tag is mounted to the door hinge pillar, so unless you have access to the interior, you're out of luck. If you have a LE buddie he could get the VIN by running the plate thru DMV.
  7. Have you looked underneath to see if you might have a "ricer" caught in the undercarrage? Sorry, I couldn't resist!
  8. ^If that don't work here's the procedure from the service manual: Removal Procedure 1. Clean the knurls of the drive shaft with a wire brush. Installation Procedure 1. Position the wiper arm so that the wiper blade aligns with the mark made on the windshield before removal. 2. Clean the locating mark or masking tape from the windshield. 7. Operate the wipers and inspect for proper operation.
  9. Keep us posted. The reason I've waited for so long to drop the rear is the talk of vibrations. I won't drop it if there is any vibration.
  10. Y...........................E...........................S....................!
  11. Did you use a pinion shim? I'm going to be buying the Belltech 2" shackles and was looking on Stylinconcepts website and it says you must use Pinion Shim Kit 4975BLT with it.
  12. YOU LET WHO DRIVE WHAT !!! WOW ! Just joking, My 18 year old learned to drive with my truck. But has his own car now. He still keeps dropping hints thats he wants to take it out once in a while. I might do it soon ! But I've had nighmares about this ! I also have a 15 year old. I keep telling him when your ready to drive.....I'll give you the SS. My older kids gets pissed off and says......THAT BS, I should get it, I'm older ! ...LOL I love getting them to fight ! George <{POST_SNAPBACK}> My son is pretty responsible and takes care of it (I think!)when he uses it and I always said I didn't want my kids to have to drive cars like I had to drive until I bought my first car. I got my drivers license (yes drivers licenses were required even back then!) in a 1963 Buick, and until I bought my first car I drove a 1956 International pickup most of the time. (boy that thing was indestructable!)
  13. Do you have a pic of the Belltech truck?
  14. Yep, your ticket would mean he finally gets his toaster oven and he ain't gonna let that get away! !
  15. I think I'd go have a chat with him, says right on the chevy web site that it's 345 hp.
  16. I haven't heard of this one before!
  17. Thanks Pasadena SS! I usually refrain from getting involved in the "A** Hole" cop bashing that I've seen go on here a time or two, because there is always "2 sides to the story" and the cop never gets his/her say. But I stepped in on this one because ChevyGal is a long time member and has always had a mature attitude and conducted herself very well on this site, which added credability to her in my eyes.
  18. Doesn't look bad at all! EDIT: Hmmm, after thinking about this for a while it got me thinking about some Joe Gibbs style stripes for my SS and in place of the Joe Gibbs decal putting one of these emblems on each front fender.
  19. I'm a cop, been one for over 30 years, I am not however, a "traffic cop". I hate writing traffic tickets unless I feel they are driving recklessly. With that said, unless he has some special radar/lidar, which he didn't or he would have stated an exact speed, not an estimate of 85/90, he was just doing a pace on you. I don't travel freeways much, (Benefit of living in "God's Country" ) but I would think it would be very hard to say with any accruracy how fast you were going. He is going to have to match his speed with your speed and be able to maintain it for a distance to get a accurate reading and with cars in between you and him makes it even harder because their speed flucuations might make it appear to him that you are going faster. If you have the time and money I'd go talk to the judge. If you don't go to court, at least file a complaint against his "Unprofessional Behavior", granted your complaint might be the first against him and nothing will happen to him, but I'm sure with his attitude he'll have many more filed against him and they could eventually add up to his "termination". Good Luck!
  20. Build youself a set of Joe Gibbs style stripes! I like them!
  21. I think your dealer can tell you by using the VIN. (If it's the factory interior)
  22. I know it makes you mad, but I'm glad I or my family/friends weren't on your highway when this was going on!
  23. All I could find about towing a 5th Wheel is on page 4-68 of the '03 owners manual: Notice: If your vehicle is equiped with the SS trim package, do not pull a fifth-wheel camper or you could damage your vehicle. Doesn't say what could be damaged.
