  1. Haha can't blame you - I'm not sure Truckin mag has that level of insurace coverage, in case the unexpected worst case were to happen.

    Mr. P. :)

The email we got says "This has been well thought out, our parent company has a $4,000,000 insurance policy for the test facility, so please rest assured".

That is more than enough for me to let a professional driver drive my ride.

I can understand where Chase is coming from with the time and money put into that truck but a jeep with a bolt on I am not that worried about it. Besides I think Chase has the motor out of his truck right now...

  2. that Jeep is f*cken scary fast!!! only way i can describe it is violent, just feels violent on a rolling take off!!!

nice vids sir, they look familiar  ...

Thanks for helping me post them up Rob :pepsicheer:

  3. dang thats crazy so its basicly running the same times as the 100 shot but in hotter weather ? how many lbs is it set up for right now?

it only ran 7.6 once out of about 30 runs with the nitrous, the blower did it the first day in the heat, it would usually run 7.8 with a 100 shot.

    Its making 8 lbs,

  4. what did the jeep run b4 the vortech ? post some pics of the jeeps engine bay with it on. and no i haven't got the d1 on yet not till i get all my fuel stuff done, but i re-did my intercooler set up check it out in the forced induction section.

It ran 7.64 @ 91 with a 100 shot and ran 8.3 with just a tune. The nitrous was so inconsistent....

  5. Thats sick greg... what shot you running with the blower? And did you wife run with the new vortech yet??

It was a 150 shot and 5 lbs of boost. That video of the jeep was with the new blower. She only took 2 runs because we had the baby with us. Ran a 7.6 and a 7.7 and it was 90 degrees out so we were definetly happy with the times.

Did you get the D1 on yet or what?

  6. This is from last November. I just learned to use youtube. Video is really shaky so if that bothers you then dont click on the link.

This was at famosa in bakersfield 11.7 @113

  7. My wife got an email today from Dan Ward at Truckin that we are invited. She signed up about a month ago after I saw this post.

We are going in her ride and I am gonna be the driver. We were told they are going to have a professional driver do the laps on the Top Gear road course for liability reasons but we do all the other events.

I am suprised we even heard back from the guy. I am pretty excited.

  8. Check out http://shop.saeparts.com. They have them painted to match for $29.95 plus shipping. I just ordered a Victory Red one for my SS. Not sure if they have black, I just went back on their site and only saw red, silver and primed. But, you could contact them and ask. Good luck.

this thread is like 4 months old. thanks for the link though.

I got one from ebay months ago just can't bring myself to put it on. sooooo ugly.

  9. Thanks for the kind words guys. :)

As far as the WG location, it's a PROVEN design. Perfect, no... Works good, yes. Cause any problems??, Nope! Stock48 has run mid 9's at 143mph (4800lb truck, that's about 1100rwhp) with my kit, a PT88 turbo on a 370 and only a 38mm Tial WG IN THE CROSSOVER. There is not a difference in back pressure from one bank to the other because the turbo is the restriction, setting the back pressure for the WHOLE pre-turbo piping. It doesn't mater where the WG is, it's job is regulating the back pressure (drive pressure) not flow pre-turbo to maintain boost level. There is no "check valve" so to speak that would not allow pressure to equalize back to the WG. NO ONE I know of has had any issues controlling boost with the proper sizes WG in the crossover or shown any difference in performance or engine longevity with it located anywhere else. I've built a ton of these kits and no problems. I would put money on if you put a pressure tap on the drives front manifold and the pass front manifold, at full boost there is less then a pound difference in back pressure pre-turbo. If you feel differently, then please show me proof that's it's not good and not just say you don't like it just because... :) To many fast trucks working with this type set up for it to be a bad idea. ;)

thanks for the reply and answering all my questions on the phone.

Like I said I am not in a hurry and have a lot to learn about turbos before i go do this. I really want twins just for the wow factor and it just looks badass. gonna give it some time and thought and try to enjoy the new toy on the wifes new ride. Thanks everyone for the replys.

This is all your fault Chase lol
