  1. That is real cool. My wife would love this. I converted her to the SS club when we first met and got her in a Blue 2006 SS Impala with the 5.3L. She likes it alot but wants a something bigger for our growing family our first born is due Dec 2nd. I am pushing to go with a SSTB. LOL This SS Tahoe clone would be just as nice.
  2. I like the sound and highs of the stock Bose' speakers. I just added two 10" Kicker Comps in a downfire box and a Rockford Fosgate 900W Amp to give it some nice bass. It won't win competitions but is plenty loud enough to make people mad if you crank it. I like to hear the words to go with the bass lol.
  3. I agree to disagree. Yes gear change may not be the answer for smaller narrower tires just like you did say you had slight wheel spin which in running 1/4 miles tenths of a second will contribute to lose times especially 60' times. With 4:56 gears your 60' times should be faster than with 4:10 if you had proper traction. As far as end results in the 1/4 it is a toss up on how you have built the engine rather than gear ratio. Gear ratio is one of two things. Your whole shot with smaller gears or top speed with larger gears. The 4:10 is a great in the middle gear for this AWD platform. I personally find my hole shots and 60' times better with my 4:56 gears but it starts running out of legs at 105mph but got there faster and still burys the needle at 120. Bottom line is Traction is key to determine your gears. Big tires and more weight smaller gears. small tires and lighter weight mods larger gears.
  4. If you want to build or buy a 4l65e capable of 600, 700, or 1000hp then you must check the site below. I myself have bought and used parts from this company for two years now and last spring rebuilt my tranny to their level 4 mega raptor specs capable and reliable up to 700-700 HP/TQ. Their level 5 extreme raptor is advertised to handle up to 1000hp on a 4l60e/4l65e. Check it out its an awesome sight and reasonable prices. I got my red eagle alto clutches, beast reaction sunshell, servos, etc.... and we already have the updated planetaries for being the 4l65e in the SS. They have a bunch of options. level 3 raptor is for 600hp and 450tq but with a few extra parts they can make it 600/600. With a few more parts and updates they turn it from a level 3 to a level 4 mega raptor making it 700/700. With this no more 4l80 conversion unless you want over 1000hp which would only be a select few people. http://www.transmiss...r.net/4l60e.htm
  5. I have 20" rims and in overdrive on the highway I want to say i run between 2000-2300.
  6. I have the 4:56 conversion and love it. Need to make sure that they are properly installed because of very tight clearences. In town youll notice higher rpms but not much mph change. Highway will notice more mph change. To me its all about getting out of the hole with this heavier extended cab AWD truck compared to Lightnings and RCSRT's.

  9. Can anyone tell me the specific details on injectors? I want 60# ones so I can pulley down to a 2.8" on my radix mp112. I also have a cam and just about every other bolt on. I hear siemens deka 60# are popular on here but I dont know which ones model wise and don't know which Hieght to go either.   13. I will have to talk to Mr. wheatley first since he has done all my tunes so far with all my Mods and see if he can dial it in first. I get free lifetime updates and tunes with him and don't want to have to spend the money to get a whole new tuner when I allready have one. One question. Should I go with 60#, 70#, or 80# injectors with my setup in my sig except I am pullying down to 2.8 from 3" and E85?
  14. I'd say about $225 OBO. They have low miles on them maybe 1000-1500. My truck is a garage queen and only gets driven on nice days in the summer and stored all winter long. Just let me know and we can setup a payment and i'll get my truck to my shop and have them sent the same day as long as its on my four days off.

  16. I live in Minnesota a very E85 friendly state. Its in just about every town. So to run E85 effectivly all I need is a proper tune and larger injectors off course for my needs and Ill get the same if not better results as Meth?
  17. So what would be a better route Meth or E85? I dont care about MPG as its not my DD..... I have 2003 SSS and a mp112 radix and I have a cam and other supporting mods so would E85 be a good switch or should I consider using meth. -What is all entailed in setup for E85 and what kind of noticable gains HP/TQ?
  18. Any one have the part number or link for me to buy the right matching 60# or 70# injectors that install in my mp112. and a place to buy a 90mm j-tube and TB???? FYI, Once I buy some #60lbs injectors my #42lbs'ers will be up for sale. There maybe 1000-1500 miles on them. thanks
  19. I have owned my truck for 7 going 8 years and I still shead a tear every fall when she goes into storage for the winter.... I guess the only thing I think about is if I would never of bought this truck and started modding it throughout the years I would have enough money today to buy a really nice newer Z06 or Viper or f350 ferrari lol but than again I wouldn't have 8 years of timeless memories and trials and tribulations with the ole' black beauty. On a side not I never have had a major problem besides self inflicting performance mods on a stock tranny..... 53,900K miles and slowly counting 100-300miles a year garage queen
