  1. I had them milled for N/A and a cam and later put a maggie on it. When I had them milled I only milled .020 for a little extra compression making close to 10.7.1 and with the smaller boost producing mp112 I figured I could use less boost and get the same gains than with less compression and more boost. Any idea where I can get a 90mm j-tube for a mp112 and a good TB?
  2. It has the factory J-tube for a stock 6.0L..... 78mm I beleive
  3. Ok here is my problem. My truck has a 3000stall fully built 4l65e tranny, 4:56 gear ratio, cammed and heads shaved 20 thousandths with ls7 springs and comp pushrods and much more little stuff just look at my sig. It has a Radix MP112 with a 3" pully and it just seems to loose breath at about 70 give or take a couple miles an hour. I don't have the money right now to throw a 5-6K new tvs at it right now. I looked at having it built to a mp122 but magnacharger doesnt do it anymore. I guess my question is. What can I do to get more out of this MP112? What do you guys recommend? -throttle body stock polished one to a 90mm -from 42lb injectors to 60lb -methanol injection -smaller pulley yet. 2.8"? Any one still upgrade MP112 to a Mp122? I just kinda at a cross roads and need some help on what to do next. On a side note I totally smoked my buddies WS6 T/A from 0-100. I had him by 4 truck lengths but he closed fast as I hit 65-70. I ended up beating him by a truck length.
  4. That looks atrocious lol. Whats up with those tires and vette emblems. poor truck has been chopped by 10 year old.... I love these trucks normally.
  5. Check out the HTR 600, 750, and LSX454 Camaros by Redline performance. I would rather have one of these cars than a ZL1.... LOL http://www.redline-motorsports.net/services/htr-performance-packages/htr-camaros/
  6. The ole' SSS is getting a tranny overhaul... All done know and on the road again just wanted to show some pics... I put a 3000 stall, smart reaction shell, transgo reprogramming kit, raptor servos, alto red eagle clutches, carbon fiber band, and new reverse input drum in. As you can see there is also a fully restored 1970 LS6 454 Chevelle in the garage too... Hope you enjoy the pics....
  7. I reiterate, spraying meth on a naturally aspirated stock compression LQ9 is not a very good choice for performance gains...boosted engines is a different story though. Good thing I'm supercharged and have higher compression due to milled heads so I guess the methanol is a go for me as long as the gains are fairly significant. LOL Thanks for the info...
  8. How late does it stay open...? I have drill that weekend in Minneapolis and can drive my SSS down for a evening or two..?
  9. Like the title says I was wondering if anyone may be interested in meeting up for Wednesday Night Street Legal Drags At Brainard International Dragway (BIR). I live up in Grand Rapids, MN and don't see any other SSS around and would like to meet up... Here are some dates. I am available on the 20th of July and the 3rd of August... Below is the summer schedule and prices if you any of you want to run different dates. heres the website: http://www.brainerdr...day-nights.html The time and rules are: BIR opens the track to anyone with a helmet, a valid drivers license and a street-legal car, truck or motorcycle. The gates open at 4 p.m. You can make as many runs as possible until the track closes at dusk. During that time, you get to use the starting line tree, the scoreboard and the burn-out box, just like the pros do. We even have an announcer calling the action over the PA system... The 2011 dates: May 4 & 18 June 8 & 22 July 6 & 20 August 3 & 31 September 14 Prices Participant Entry - $25 Spectator Entry - $5
  10. Do you know if I need additional tuning to run a switch at 2-3 pounds of boost or rpm switch engagement at 3000-4000 only. I just want to make sure. I can always ask my tuner too.
  11. I live in Grand Rapids MN

  12. Im also looking at getting a meth/water injection....My list of mods are in my sig. I have a question. I don't want to spray all the time and only want spray at certain rpms like when I stomp on it and the tq converter kicks at 3000 and spraying between 3000-4000rpms. So my question is do I need a new tune for meth/water. I don't really want a high octane tune since most my driving is just cruising and occasionally clearing the pipes. Race fuel is hard to find and expensive so I don't want a high octane tune all the time and I don't want it spraying all the time either while running on just premium fuel, only when I stomp on it and bring to the track is when i want the high octane.... I don't plan on running any more boost than my 3" pulley. Just want the higher octane and cooling at higher rpms. Also my heads are milled so my compression is higher than stock so the higher octane would be nice. I really don't want to wreck anything. Sorry if this is a dumb question. I just don't know much about alternative fuels... Also how safe is this and will it make a big difference for my setup in my sig..... thanks
  13. I would like to spray it with a 100shot of NOS go to a 2.8" pulley but I don't want to chance it without beefing up the crank, and rods first. The engine has to be comming close to its max with the cam, headwork, and supercharger with a 3" pulley and all the other little extras that add up... I wish I had a AWD dyno so I can see what hp/tq she puts out. it must be close to 500-550 with my mods...
  14. I knew it was about time before my trans would start giving and it is starting too... Ive lost second gear.... like the topic says I would like to know what trans parts I need to build my 4l65e to with stand 600-750hp/tq. In my signature says what modifications are done to the vehicle.... I already have a 3000 stall, transgo shift kit, and vette servos... I need to know what else to buy to beef this thing up bulletproof... like planetaries, sunshell etc.... And where can I get them at a reasonable price.... Thanks
  15. Well, like the topic says I am thinking about selling my SS. It has around 53K on it. Have a lot of mods just check my signature. Their probably is more then that since I have not updated it in awhile. It has always been garage kept in the winter and taken out around mid May. I only drive it on nice days and avoid rain when I can. There is more than 15k invested in aftermarket parts and work done probably closer to 20K. Most of the mods are engine work to include but not limited to a supercharger with 3" pulley, Custom head work, comp cam with beehive springs and hardened push-rods, electric fan conversion, full exhaust with cutouts where the cats were, transmission has servos a shift kit and 3000 stall, 4:56 gears front and rear, always used mobile 1 synthetic, and kept clean and waxed all the time. Many nice visuals as well to include cowl hood with pins, tinted windows, fiberglass bed cover with carpeted bed, aftermarket rims. etc.... there is a few others as well..... I am the second owner and have owned this vehicle for 6 years and have done just about everything I possibly can to this vehicle without ripping the motor out again. I am ready to move on to the next toy and probably baby it and repeat. Maybe a viper or vette. If you want to make a profit and spend the time making this baby stock again you'll make over 10K easy in parts. I have most the original parts to include cam and springs, intake, clutch fan, hood, etc.... I am not desperate to get rid of it but if you have a nice trade or offer I can't refuse I am ready (although it may be hard to) let this girl go. I am interested in in Vipers GTS, RT/10 (anything newer is probably to expensive unless you want too), Vettes, older musclecars, No unpainted rusty project cars seriously..lol Thanks. 16. Whats the stall range and will it hold up to a maggie and cam setup.. I am also in the market for a stall converter before the snow melts and I pull the sss out for storage...
  17. So for numbers count who is goin to this event so I can think of a good place to meet on Saturday the 25th July and check for room reservations.
  18. It's all done and looks and sounds amazing. The instant tourque and constant power throughout is amazing. I will have some pics hopfully soon.
  19. Yeah that doesn't sound right. i would hand calculate as well. Fill your truck up all the way, set your trip meter to zero, drive about a quarter to half a tank, fill up again to the top, and divide your trip miles by the number of gallons you put in to fill. This little method should be close enough to measure if something is right or wrong. Good luck bud.
  20. Its here and about 90% installed. It took a little longer because I wanted to pull the rockers out and put in some comp magnum hardend push rods. Also I am installing a trans-go shift kit as well. With my cam and heads milled and ported plus a maggie I didn't want to risk bending one. I got my tune back on tuesday from Wheatley #1. It will be running very shortly today, tomarrow. Its been real busy at the shop and projects at home its been hard to put alot a time in it to install. But its almost there. soon very soon muhaaaahahahah
  21. Not to mention how many SSS have been in car wrecks and are totaled out and many others that have been abuse and beat up. I live in Northern MN and I used to be able to craigslist or Autotrade the SSS's for sale in the area. but now I can barley find them. They dont make them anymore and only for 5 years not much at all considering the trans-am and vette's and camaro's that have been in production on and off since the 60's. So hold on to your SSS it could be worth something big money some day. I am never selling mine.
  22. I have been askin for a little while on here if anyone on here lives in MN or close to MN that have meets so we can set up for crusing trips or get togethers. But no one yet has said much of anything. Just wondering if anyone would like to plan some thing in MN to get together and show of the the trucks and meet new peeps and friends sometime. I know of one event that is kinda fun and has alot of nice muscle cars that go and thats the 37th annual ivcc MN car show and swap meet held at the fair grounds in Grand rapids MN. its not the biggest or huge but its pretty big and you could spend a full day just looking at cars and another looking at all the car parts and swap meet items. I was just wondering if anyone was interested in comming up and enjoying a little fun time and bring a crowd of SSS and clones together to drink a couple brewskies and see some nice rides. They have overnight camping there and I have a place in town peeps could crash at. It would be a blast. They have a decent swap meet to sift through some peoples junk but one persons junk is anothers treasure. There is also some venders there for actual stuff as well. Hit me up ladies and gents cause I am from the area and I have some nice country roads to crusie down and stops to look at. Beautiful national forestcountry with beautiful lakes and beaches as well so bring swim suits. The meet is 24 July- 26 July and judgment for trophies is the 26th. They also have a decent for sale lot for project cars and other vehicles. Please respond or PM if your interested or can make it. It would be a blast and we can meet somewhere and convoy there with me. Camping, fire, brewskies, laughs, SSS, and the great outdoors = great memories. P.S. There is also a small get together every Thursday night about 10-20 hot rods at the Dairy Queen in Grand Rapids, MN between 1900 and 2100. Its fun and if your passing through stop on by. Here is a small clip of the car show not the best but a small idea. http://www.visitgrandrapids.com/video/car_show_weekend.html PSS. Car craft nationals is another comming up this summer as well so keep in mind. St. Paul, MN
