  1. I did this also when I installed my shackles. I had to take it off anyway, then I saw the nasty spare tire glaring, so I yanked that also! Looks good man. Question for you, what do you use on your wheels??? Every pic I have seen of your truck, you have more of a deep shine to them? Maybe its just me......
  2. For those of you that asked about the underhood mirror panels, I posted a thread in the For Sale section. Check em out if your interested!!
  3. From the great response from the feeler thread I put out on these panels, here ya go. They are very easily installed by using GM heavy duty double sided tape and prepping the surface before hand. They fit any 03-06 stock hood. $200.00 + Shipping
  4. I attached them by GM double sided tape. That might sound jimmy rigged, but these arent comin off...lol. I messed one up one time and scratched it, so I made another one and had a hell of a time getting the old one off. As far as the goodmark hood, I have no clue what the patterns look like under those. I was actually thinking about a goodmark but I had made these already so I stuck with the stock hood. If I had access to a Goodmark I would be glad to make you some. I still might get one, so lets see
  5. Alittle update. Here is a piece me and a buddy have been working on. Its a headplate that goes on the front of the right bank head. Mirrored stainless with a black SS decal in the middle, clear coated. All that has to be done is wet sand and polish the clear, then polish up the mounting bolts and install. I will get pics when I get it installed, prolly wont be till next week.
  6. haha...I have no comment.........
  7. After the response about my polished underhood mirror pieces and requests for other members trucks I am seeing who all would be interested in these?? I talked to my buddy, and he said he would be up for it. He is calling to check the price of the material since the price of metal jumps around like the price of petrolium. Hopefully it wont be too high so these will be somewhat reasonable. I will let ya'll know when I get more info.
  8. I removed the insulation, and sprayed the back of the hood ribs since there were some plain spots the factory didnt hit. Then cleaned the back skin of the hood really good and mounted the pieces with 3M double sided tape. And if your worried about these coming off, dont worry cause these are a MOTHER to get off after...lol. I messed one up and had a hell of a time getting it off after stickin er on. I will get ahold of my buddy on the hood pieces tonight and see what we can work out. Also, on the engine plaque, if you havnt already PM'd me about it do so if you are interested. I dont want to be struck by lightning by the silveradoss.com gods being a non sponsor lol For those that have already, you have a PM!!
  9. I'm sure he could.....I still have the patterns
  10. My buddy cut them out on a band saw out of polished 18 gauge aluminum from patterns I made. Very easily done actually......
  11. 2" Beltech shackles and 5 turns on the torsion bolts. Then alignment to correct the camber. I think we can work somethin out
  12. It has never seen rain or snow....lol...so no not a daily D
  13. My buddies piecing together parts to do this to his 2000. I didnt know how it would look, but now that I see it I like it. Looks good man.
  14. Everything is hand made and polished from a buddy here in town out of 16 gauge stainless. The hood "mirrors" are polished aluminum cut out from patterns. The alternator, coil brackets, and coil bolts I had chromed. Oil fill cap I got off off Ebay. Intake is from GM. The A/C Dryer and lines, brake lines, and fuel lines are hand polished by me. I also polished the tonneu struts and brake calipers by hand. Front bowtie and brake duct overlays are obviously from Shopman. I'd say just for the alternator would of been $80 bucks give or take to have chromed. That includes the outside baskets, pulley, and nut. I had it disassembled and reassembled by an electric company here in town to make sure im charging correctly. I would recammend this. The engine plaque is made by a non sponsor. PM me if you want details of contact. I am also having a right bank head plate being made that bolts to the front of the head. Polished and the SS logo in the middle. Hopefully gettin my coated headers on next weekend. Ill post pics when I do.
  15. Here ya'll go. The last time I posted pics they were crappy so I got her out and did work. Enjoy!! Continued........
  16. I had the same thing one morning. Started it up and the light came on random. I checked it with our Tech II scanner and it was an evap code. I took off and tightened the cap...cleared the code and then road tested. Hasnt came back on since. System is kinda touchy.
