  1. I turned both 5 full turns and both sides equaled out the same. Turned out to about an inch. With the rear shackles, I really got the look I was after. Like everyone else has been saying, I wouldnt go any further than an inch, but again thats my opinion also.
  2. Yes! Got off work today and cranked the torsion bolts back up. Drove it...still clunking. So I pulled the Beltech shackles and reinstalled the stock ones. Drove it, and nothing. So I sat back, had a few beers and pondered. I gave up so I started to pull my wheels to install my slotted and drilled rotors I got in the mail today. My buddy showed up with his pinion angle thing and we were looking and I noticed my counter weight on my drive shaft in the rear had wear. When I had my exhaust made up back in July, they built it to what it was...but not what I would be lowered. So when I would put torque on things, things would move and twist that much and the counter weight would be hitting the side of the muffler. So all I need to do is reposition my exhaust and I am good to go!!
  3. Alright....installed Beltech 2" shackles in the rear and turned torsion bars 5 full turns in the front tonight. When I went to take it for a drive, I turned left out of the driveway and heard a clunk clunk clunk...then I stopped. It didnt do it in reverse. I went forward again and it did it going left again and then I went straight and it would do it under normal acceleration but not if I barely gave it throttle....but then if i gave it normal throttle it would clunk. Would 2" in the rear alter the pinion angle that much??? Out of all the guys that have installed shackles, this is the first that I have seen? I think its the u-joints binding up cause of pinion angle??? Help!!
  4. Might have to be sooner than that
  5. I just ordered some and they are getting coated as we speak! I tried to find some used ones myself, but no luck so I just bit the bullet and bought new ones and having them coated.

    Pics

Wow, thanks guys . I had the engine plaque made by a guy down in Texas I found on LS1tech. Being a non sponsor, PM me and I will give you info. He took forever, but the work is obviously good. No I dont have pics of the whole truck, yet...I only have pics of when I first brought it home. The weather hasnt been the greatest, so it hasnt been outside for awhile. It has never seen rain or snow, so as long as shes mine, shes staying dry! Im waiting on my OBX's to get coated and will get them installed as soon as I get them back. Also I have drilled and slotted rotors on the way, and while I have the wheels off im gonna do a 2 and 1 1/2 beltech/torsion drop. After all that, a buddy here in town is gonna tune it, then im gonna install a T/A stud and girdle kit. Ill definatly keep ya'll updated!! Also, I have been kicking around an idea. In my old Camaro, I fabbed up a rear seat delete.... I was thinking about doing something like this in my SS, matching carpet and a bowtie instead of lettering. It would be easier than what I took in my F-Body...but im still not sure?? Opinions please!! Heres a cpuple shots soon before I sold it :
  7. Got bored tonight and snapped a few pics of the progress. Dont mind the ugly manifolds, OBX LT's are getting coated as we speak Oh and sorry about the quality and shitty lighting.....
  8. I am also on the brink of ordering long tubes, but still doing research myself. So far the OBX's are in the lead because I hear they fit nice and they come with mid pipes. Pacesetters price is awesome and come coated but I dont want to fab up mid pipes, plus clearance issues with AWD. Dynatech is out of the question due to the price, but would buy them if money wasnt an option. So its lookin OBX then getting everything coated. My biggest question is how well do the factory 02's fit in OBX's mid pipes?? They say possible extensions??
  9. I seen these on LS1tech. I wonder how well they will fit our trucks??? If they fit I was going to grind off the Edelbrock logo and chrome them. Looks good tho!!
  10. I noticed when I bought my truck they previous owner or owner before had installed helper bags in the rear. How will this effect the 2'' drop shackles I just bought?? Do I need to remove them to get the proper 2'' drop I want??
  11. Where is East Prairie?? Im assuming eastern Mizzou??
  12. Clutch or Auto.....it doesnt matter...its all how you drive it. A clutch isnt any faster than an Auto can be......the driver makes or breaks the race. If we want to get technical....sure you can launch a manual higher than an auto...but a stall can fix that. I'd take an auto for racing any day for racing purposes. But still...I would take an experianced driver with an auto over a manual car anyday. Kinda off subject...but im off my soapbox.
  13. So from what it looks like, these will bolt right to the factory cats and mid pipes??? Pictures of the actual headers??
  14. Description says it all.....lookin for a set of OBX's. I'd like to see if I can pick some used ones up before I throw in the towl and buy new. Lemme know!!
  15. KC MO? or KCK?? Im down in Olathe......
  16. I have the covers if the interest is still available.......
