  1. Im trying to prevent someone reading this thread and read that and go "hhmm..ill just pull my front driveshaft and go dyno it"...then explodes their transfer case. Then someone askes why did you do that...and he will respond "well I read it on this forum and a guy said to just remove the front drive shaft" Stupid? Yes. Is it reality? 100% You have no idea how many guys have done this. Take it as you wish edit: always remember, there are more people that read posts other than the OP.
  2. Before you say you can disconnect the driveshaft, you probably should mention its not as easy as just "disconnecting" the driveshaft. This is false information not only to the OP but to lurkers reading this thread. Without stating the proper way or warning there is more than just removing the driveshaft as damage can be done if not dyno'd the proper way....you probably shouldnt post
  3. Good luck Dinky Boy My best memory of this truck was when you were installing the blower, injectors as a matter of fact and you were bent over the engine and asked Nancy (Hottelsss) for the vaseline lol He sure didnt hesitate
  4. LS stock bottom ends have survived over 1200HP, 30lbs of boost, and with 150k miles to boot. Anything can happen, but if you were worried about anything tuning is where you need to focus on. It will tell you most everything.
  5. Efficient fuel system and tuning will go a long ways The main reason why nitrous gets a bad name
  6. How do you figure? I was seeing 13lbs easy on my setup and it laughed at me.The new owner is seeing upwards of 16lbs where he is at.
  7. Yes, it is due to weight. I stress this time and time again on this site, these arent Camaros or Corvettes. These are heavy ass trucks. You have to get the engines RPMs in the engines sweet spot or power band RIGHT NOW in order to get these pigs moving. This is what we refer to "converter flash" Then when you install a camshaft with different lift/duration/LSA ect, you are raising that sweet spot and you need a larger stall speed to still get in it . Everyone wants their cake and eat it too with these trucks and its not that easy.
  8. At a minimum no less than 3400 stall speed with whatever brand you decide. I would go with a 3600
  9. Interesting. If would of figured it would of been a lot louder than that.
  10. Right on. Been kicking it around a little. I will probably do the touring if I pull the trigger
  11. Hank, how loud is it? Do you like the sport on yours or you think you should of done the touring? Also yours is a 6.2 right? I think all Denalis are......?
  12. You would fvck up a one man rock fight with that comment Killer truck. I love my 13', but im kicking myself for not springing for the 6.2 upgrade when I ordered it though. I will def not hesitate when I trade this one in in a few years
  13. clean truck, good job. love the hood gotta lose the window vents and cowboy pipes though
  14. That is a 3600 stall setup all day. You will be going backwards with a 3k stall speed with those camshaft specs.
  15. negative. he was making those or longer in warm ups. that is the kickers job is to kick field goals. if he makes it, they win. if he misses, they go to OT. lack of a sense of urgency and knowing the situation is the problem here. Auburn was aware of the situation and made a game out of it same thing on hail marys when the defending team doesnt bat the ball down. know the situation and do your job. that clearly didnt happen
  16. blah blah blah, haters gonna hate Cue the War Chant
  17. Also pacesetters arent bad, but you get what you pay for. Go with OBX as they are stainless
  18. Some do and some dont. Its a process similar to PC but a little different. Just have to call and see
  19. I bought OBX's the weekend I bought my SSS back in 08. I then had them coated locally to keep them looking nice. They were a great bang for the buck. The only issue I had with them was a primary tapping on the heat shield on the drivers side firewall. Took the heatshield off and massaged it a little bit. And you will have to tie the spark plug wire up on #5 if I remember right from the aggressive loop in the primary. Some say they had issue with wires burning up on that hold but I never had an issue the way I tied mine up. You will like them
  20. You are crazy for not replacing the valve specially since it touched the piston
  21. I could be wrong, but I think most of what you see is improper pushrod length. Then the liftes fail and take the blame
