  1. Its alive! Its alive! I'll have a video up tomorrow but man she sounds like a old school muscle car lol
  2. picking up oils and lil odds and ends today so cross your fingers for a start up video this weekend !!
  3. it should work good. its rated like most other vinyl at 3yr life , but , allot of factors go into that number.
  4. got some swear words in it so be careful if your opening it at work.
  5. NSFW for language. Beware before clicking.
  6. nice dd , just get the hood wrapped maybe carbon fiber wrap ?
  7. I would just put a ls3 throttle body on there and call it good . 102 mm t/b is kinda a waste unless everything leading up to it is also 4" or bigger.
  8. Good to see you back art truck is looking fine and good numbers!
  9. yeah i got one on. some advise since this is your first time doing this it will make it easier . if you pull the alternator out of the way even thou its not necessary it will make it easier to get it in and adjust the front stem vent line cause your going to have to bend it and tweek it a lil to clear the fast intake at the bottom front. second i wouldn't drill either of the map sensor ports for the map sensor, if i had to do it over again i would have just hooked the map sensor on a vacuum line and zip tie it on and call it good and put it somewhere you can access it easy because if you put it in the rear position you got to pull the whole intake off to get to it and if you put it in the top position its just plain ugly , imo lol . zip tie all tubes going onto the intake to secure them from popping off. i also loaded all of the bolts into the intake prior to mounting it so the bolts would drop in when it got into position seemed to work better then putting bolts in after you mount it. after mounting it look at the gaps between the heads and manifold and make sure they are all equal and dont over torque it . take your time it needs to sit perfect!
  10. maybe a bad or sticky bov or bypass valve?!
  11. yeah its just a z06 , zr1 has rear defuser rear spoiler, carbon side skirts, front lip , blue calipers etc .. oh and if i remember correctly all zr1 tops are black regardless of color .
  12. yeah , is this a pic you have taken ? if so he is probably either too lazy to take his own or doesnt have a camera to do so.
  13. yeah my welder is top notch, im very happy with his work.
  14. ok got a bunch done including the welding on the hot pipes , they are 100% done, and i got just 2 more pieces to weld up on the intercooler piping. she is about ready to fire up .... also made a lil bracket for the oil feed line so it wont rest on the header ...
  15. how long did the swat take to do? maybe if you would be so kind to make a list of EVERYTHING you would need to do this swap as if you were starting from scratch.
  16. i like the second one out of those choices
  17. heads studs, ls9 gaskets are in and i got the fast back on and all of the injectors are plugged in and ready to go . also got all of the coolant lines done and made the steamvent lines off of the back of the heads functional and route to the back of the overflow tank . now that the intake is on i can get the intake piping mocked up and welded up so i will only have 2 couplers on the whole intake system , one at the turbo and one at the throttle body. a couple steps closer , im getting pretty excited seeing it all come together... i think the turbo is the new king under the hood , the fast is going to take a back seat now , this turbo dwarfs it lol...
  18. well i guess i was more confused why you would need a spring and a boost reference on the waste gate. if you have the correct spring in there to make the desired boost why would you need it hooked up to the vacuum/boost reference ? or why would you need a spring in there if you can hook it up to the vacuum line to control the boost like that ? thats what im confused about .
  19. i see i love the simplicity of that controller . how high will it let you run the boost at? also im kinda confused on how the waste gate works because it has a spring or springs that you can put in it but it also needs a vacuum/boost line hooked up to it? could you give me the 411 on this?
  20. Thanks for the good words and i hope i black out because it pulls so hard ! Lol No the back two will route to the back of my coolant tank resivoir .
  21. lol i hope so . i drove my buddies evo x the other day (he insisted, to give me motivation) and it was the first time i driven a turbo vehicle and i must say it was sweet when that turbo hit. what are you running for a boost controller ?
  22. truck looks/sounds amazing will , good job buddy!
  23. thats hard to say , the list i made is about 20 items long but half of that is parts i got to buy. the most labor intensive thing on the list now that the heads are done is going to be wiring the boost controller . other than that its a matter of getting coolant lines cut and fit to the new reservoir and to make a steam port and lines off the back of the heads and i need to extend the wiring on my o2 sensors to get to the new bungs .
