  2. Pro charger will make more power for sure but since your not very mechanically inclined I would recommend a Maggie also.

You guys are crazy , I think 1k HP is plenty. the reason why chase didn't clock faster in the 1/4 mile is because he was on 22's and street tires smoking his tires to the 60ft mark if he had proper rim tire combo I think he could of shaved half a second easy. I never got on a dyno but according to many different calculators Im pretty sure my truck was under 700 HP when I went 11.1 in the 1/4 mile so I can't see why 300 more horse power couldn't kill another second off my et given everything was set up right. I also don't believe you need to spend more then15k to get there BUT it will cost you allot of dedication and hard work.
  6. i agree , pick up hp tuners (consider it one of your mods to do) give zippy a call and he will get you handled from there. as far as what other trucks make with a d1 i would guess your truck will run mid to low 13's bone stock and on 10 psi, and mid to high 12's on 15 psi. just figure every pound of boost is roughly 20hp +/-

  8. my motor has been boosted for more then 40k miles, most of that was well over 15psi on a daily bases and i would say 5k of it was 20-22psi (with a D1 procharger)... i got greedy for power and put a huge turbo on my truck , found out that the rods bend at 26psi and 22 degrees of timing (on e85) which i feel motor would still be fine and kicking for another couple years if the timing was backed off a lil bit but thats how it goes. the key is to have a GOOD tuner and run GOOD fuel if your going for big power. P.S. the 4L60 is a POS.
  9. i would buy them for the simple fact that it cleans up the engine bay and makes it soooo much nicer to work on anything in the engine bay, frees up a metric crap ton of room and sure you should gain a lil hp in theory.

  14. I was using br7ef's and hit 26psi when the rod bent , I pulled all the plugs and the burn looked perfect.
  15. Its real simple guys its not rocket science here. All you need to do is fuse your fuel pump/pumps somewhere where only you know where the fuses are and where you can access them to where you can pull the fuses b4 you get out of the truck . Simple but effective. Truck isn't going to get far with out fuel pumping to the fuel rails.
