I believe it has been done how ever they guy had to make a custom adapter plate to mate the Transfer case to the manual transmission he used. I am not sure where it was posted but I remember reading about it as king to see how he made it work.

Looks like someone took a normal billet emblem and waterjet cut the SS logo into it. Not a bad Idea. I am just afraid of stuff getting trapped in there.

mctwist77, take a closer look at the first picture of the bowtie in the grill. Looks like your buddy left a present there for you...

If the header/ manifold is off, center a nut over the hole and weld it to whatever is left. The weld will only stick to the steel of the bolt and the heat will break the bond. You can then back out what is left without needing to remove the head.

Which harnes??? The Dash harness or the Floor/Rear cab area harness???

Looks like you're right, Specific to 05, and according to the 1 GM parts site it showed AWD or 4x4. It also showed being specific to CJ2 Auto Climate Control. Is yours 2WD or AWD? I know If its 2WD it would have a plug for traction control. I am just curious because Not all SS trucks were digital climate control at least in 05, 06, 07 since you could get Cloth or Leather as an option for the first time. I have a parts truck, but I don't recall if it is digital or manual either.

Unfortunately the idiots on Ebay are not smart enough to list if it's digital or manual climate control but there are a few on ebay. Do you have the part number that's on the harness tag?

I'm doing an 06 right now. The pedal wiring is part of the tac module harness. Unfortunately I don't have time to tear into the 05 truck right now to compare the differences. I do know the digital climate controller is different from 03-04 to 05 up model just not sure if the plugs or anything else changed.

By Auto Temp, do you mean Digital temp Vs. Manual??? I know 05 is different from 03-04, but any reason why it would be different from 06-07 classic on the interior?

Black bear stopped selling them. I believe he was getting them from LS1 fan guy but not 100% sure. PCM on NC has a really nice one all though it's a little more expensive. I installed one on a friends truck. If I recall it already had the large 40 amp fuse. The holder is actually different between a 30 amp and a 40 amp. I believe the wiring is larger for a 40 amp.

You realize that kit has a core charge which means they are using stock calipers and either painting or powder coating them. You could do the same and buy rotors and pads for less money. If your looking for better brake performance do the 05+ up 13 inch front rotors and calipers. That's were most of the vehicles stopping power comes from. Not to mention its going to look funny with only the rears done and not the front.

That's an OEM ISS grill? or an OEM SS black that was painted? There is on 05 SS grille in my local craigslist but he wants a mint for it. I would be willing to go look at and purchase it for a trade

That is such a shame. I am sorry for your loss. Probably for some one looking to make a RCSB clone. Will you be looking specifically for red again? Are you willing to travel to the states for the right deal? I often look at cargurus.com, carclassifiedsbystate.com, truecar.com, carsforsale.com, And what ever else pops up in Google search. I use Silverado SS for sale in the google search engine and these sites often show whats out there on the market.
