Get your timeslips up, I hope the intercooler and other mods get you that title.
  2. I have been in contact with someone in Bristol, CT that currently has 150 miles on his DEI SSS. He had it in the 70 mileage range 2 years ago. If interested I can provide info however asking price is same as when these trucks were new (65k, I am not sure on the price difference between a normal SSS and a DEI SSS new off the lot). This truck has been stored in climate controlled garage for life. I know this would be a haul for you, but this is a gem.

Holy , now next time grab that title!!! Congrats on this time, 2nd/3rd most rare color (year/color combo wise on documentmentation) and it may be able to take the record, that would be something extremely impressive from both aspects
  4. ^^^^Will do sir, I may just stay in touch through PM's. I hate bringing my personal situation on here, as I know a couple NorthEast members complain about me bitching about my medical condition.....I will just leave it at that. Feel free to PM me anytime, I come here for stress relief as this is one of my 2 hobbies. The more I read your mods the more I believe we have similar taste in them. All the way from the AEM, cowl, tires, belltech equipment and the exhaust setup.
  5. Like stated if you are interested PM me please. I have pictures from the day I drove it off the lot to the last detail I did last month.
  6. 64k miles, completely stock, fully loaded (except Onstar). Firm on my price, garaged year round. Not looking to sell but have entertained offers from the owner of my dealership twice. PM me if interested.
  7. ^^^Stock height I have to agree on the Bilsteins, even on a 2/2 drop I would still go Bilstein. Or just go with the z60 stock suspension. I do not have Bilsteins on my truck, but that will happen no question. My old BMW 325ix's I swapped all shocks out for Bilsteins and the corner and handling was very much improved (I have to also disclose the car had sway bars front and rear). And those vehicles can corner a lot harder than these trucks. You can also check out the Edelbrock IAS shocks for stock height, they are not cheap though (last time I checked they were around $95 per). They have some valve that opens and closes depending upon how the road is (bumpy or smooth).
  8. Maybe the accident was a little blessing in disguise. Nobody wants their truck dinged up but timing on it may help you. Hopefully those kleptos get cuffed and stuffed or leave the area.
  9. Let's go find #3 DEI SSS Mr. P!!! Glad to see you back around the site, I had seen a very rare response or two on facebook awhile back on the sss.com area. Again, very happy to see you back on the site. -Andrew
  10. Looks like it will be a blast! I like the taste of mods you have, especially the tru trac, Trick Flows, 4:30 gearing on the 2wd drivetrain and the small cam choice. 100% stock by choice here, I don't think I will be for much longer though. I just cannot figure out which route I will eventually go it drives me crazy. Ive been looking at the GT-11 cam but would love a turbo (my plow truck was a turbo diesel and I miss having that power on demand). Get some vids up!
  11. I know that video very well from searching youtube vids, love that Nascar rumble sir! I think you may have just figured out my setup for this winter/spring. I may just put the LT's on hold and wait. I could always use that money originally for LT's on a thermo, tune, new tires, and tinting my front windows to the stock tint...thank you for the responses SweetSS24 on this thread, this is helping not only make decisions on my truck but also keeping my mind off more serious disfiguring cancer surgeries coming up, cheers to you sir
  12. Looks great, adds a nice touch. I need to check on some white ones.
  13. ^^Interesting, I thought without it would be somewhat louder. This is great input that I was looking for (cats vs no cats), thank you. All I know is how they sound clogged on a Geo Prizm I miss that car, I wonder how an LQ9 would do in that little sloth I will have to take a ride in a members truck to see how it is without cats, I'm mostly decided on ARH right now.
  14. Ouch. Sorry to hear about this. Took me about 2 years to come across one here for the stock SSS mirrors with all features. Ive been told the voltage can vary on the SS model mirrors so I just hope its the right voltage as factory for my specific truck, came off the same year model SS so I have my fingers crossed. Paying 8 bills for a new mirror As always make some calls to the junkyards near you.
  15. Yes! Thank you Downeast Johny, this is extremely helpful. My mechanic that specializes in Audi and BMW made a custom muffler for an M3 that was exactly the same as this concept, open and closing so I could choose how the car would sound anytime. He is moving out of the country for good in September but I may show him this and see what he says. He may only work on Jetta, Audi and BMW but he has stated to me the SSS is his favorite domestic vehicle when I drove it over to him. I've never seen a foreign mechanic look into a domestic vehicle's engine for so long saying "that baby has some power and looks."
  16. I purchased this truck in 8/2005 and joined here 2008 after seeing one members truck. I never thought their would be a forum for a Silverado SS, but after a 3 years of reading as an outsider I had to join. First forum I ever joined and pretty much was the only reason I came on the internet, research the SSS and find out anything about it that I may benefit from (steering wheel clunk, transmissions are pick of the hand, front diffs can be notorius, and so much more info). I would have never known this from the dealership, however I have a great relationship my dealer. They knew some info on this truck that they enlightened me, and I enlightened them on some other info (such as a DEI SSS, they only thought Monte Carlo's had DEI versions). Simply put I have been ripped for being "soft," "kiss ass" or too polite a couple times on here. I firmly believe you have to treat others the way you would like to be treated or its down the toilet, and quick. That's what made this site so amazing when I first joined, respect was everywhere. After many surgeries and MUCH anastesia I may have forgotten a few things and can get mixed up (I forgot my password and had to rejoin in 09 or early 2010) but this is why we are all here to help each other out with answers or show our new mods, what could be benefecial to a certain person's needs for their truck, etc. This truck brings us together, let's keep it that way. And if you have nothing positive to say, just keep it to yourself unless the original poster asking for criticism (just stay classy with the criticism).

5 stars, end of story. Keep it up sir! I may need to order some detail products through you, I have to admit that looks like one of the best details I have seen.
  18. Heres one with the Bowtie Logo http://www.stylintrucks.com/parts/standard_billet_bow_tie_logo_door_sill_plates_by_empire_motor_sports/1104000124_3628.aspx So far, I have not been able to find the sills with the SS logo. Still trying to find the magazine, I just quickly found the bowtie one gazing through on their site.
  19. Welcome back, I have to admit I was so close to buying a Srt-10 Ram Nite Runner in 2006. Then the salesmen boasted on how cops pulled them over when they went to fill up on gas just to look at the truck and I literally walked away due to that comment.
  20. Im glad to help out any member that is kind, respectful and helpful to me. Most of my truck mags are in boxes (selling house). However I will try my best to find them. Just may take some time sir. I will go check the website out now and see if their in stock.
  21. I am jealous of you 2. Got my truck at 2 years old, she was on the showroom floor but when I put $$ down they moved her to the basement for protection (and complete detail) so knowone would touch it (dealership has biggest basement in New England filled with Camaro's and vette z06's). Have to respect the dealership that my family has been going to for over 95 years. I just wish I drove her off the original showroom floor. Congrats to you both for keeping these vehicles when so many others have sold them! True original members I also just found a similar chrome grille as RaysB4U, just need to powdercoat the bars surrounding the grille as they are chrome. Need to speak to Shopman and see if he can do chrome ducts again. Maybe we can get a wheel well order going also CWest may I ask what grille you have? Bolt over the stock grille? The grille I originally wanted is no longer producing the lower bumper main grille. PM me if you wish, or if it is easier.

    Hey

Welcome back M, I usually do not use first names on here...hope all is going well. Good to see some long time members coming back, we need them! -Andrew
  23. I will keep an eye out, I have a Corsa Sport muffler I can pick up (just the muffler). Thank you for the kind, helpful response sir! It is indeed very helpful I will definitley check those out sir, again I really appreciate the helpful, kind responses. This may be extremely helpful for my specific needs
  24. Airborneninja, as long as you are happy with your mod that is all that counts. I would love to see a SS truck outcorner a vette, we just have not seen it yet. I was looking at a vette this summer and saw the hp/tq ratings and said "Wth? my truck is stronger (but heavier)." I bet the record holder may be able to outcorner a vette (not even sure if he still owns the truck). In the end, it's your mod and your truck and you are happy with it. Im not taking sides, but simply stating if your happy just bypass comments that you may not like, I know I have learned to do that very well. I just try my best to maintain a good talking relationship with these veterans, because they might save me or another member a good chunk of money one day, just as in my LT thread I just started early this morning. I am not taking sides, just hoping this bickering can stop, it's not good for the site. It's like SARS and Ebola, once it hits it spreads.
  25. I was searching for a while on youtube also but I believe the member posted it on here about 1-2 years ago. You can clearly see the BMW creep up, they both wot and the little sedan gets smaller and smaller, quickly. Im still looking for this video, my freinds family owns a BMW dealership and one son owns a M3 and M5 saying my truck is a piece of shit, I specifically saved that video for him but he dismissed it being a Silverado SS because "their is no proof that is a Silverado SS." Talk about a dink...
