To LilIndy, the stock SS 6.0 (345hp) would lose vs stock SD w/6.2 (403 hp). I like that 6.2 alot, I am sure it makes up for the extra weight the CC adds and some more. This is just my opinion, I have not looked at actual times.

I bought my Sss from a dealership that is small and not "franchised" across MA that my grandfather had been going to for 30+ years, that is how I got such a good deal on the truck. When gas starting climbing a few years back, that dealer sold their shop to a big "chain" dealership, and moved down the road. The much bigger "chain" dealership will not be touching my truck for certain reasons. I have been loyal to the smaller dealership and always will be. Their treatment of me, and my truck is 2nd to none. They even let me in the service area to watch my truck be worked on. I am sorry to hear of your situation Teddy, it sucks how honest people get screwed but in the end karma will bite GMAC hard.

Blah, I hate spiders, squash them on site. That kid is nuts though. Most people in Africa dont tell the tale of how fast the black mamba can move if they are bitten (they die). I dont understand why we dont flood the Afghani gaves with those bad boys and some spitting cobras. Either way in a the next 10 years both spider and snake venom will be saving numerous lives from heart conditions, neurological issues, and pain management.

Little things such as the SS being lower to the ground and less drag could help it, but were talking milliseconds, if that. However, I remember my buddys 05 CC SD who had stock 18s rims and I imagine they weigh alot less than the SS 20s. Through a country course the SS would win (lower stance, take corners faster without worry of flipping). 1/4 mile is tough to call.

I get my M1 engine oil at walmart or BJs, WalMarts use to carry RP but stopped because knowone would buy it, the shelf would be full of RP and barely any M1. Then again people at walmart are their for a bargain, not quality.

Called them up today and it is at a Dodge dealership, and the rep is very nice. He welcomed any information I had about the vehicle that the previous dealership did not tell him about such as it being a parade vehicle and not pace truck. I doubt I will purchase the truck but I will help him correct info about the SS and its history (stuff that I found out about the truck that the previous dealer knowingly witheld or did not know).

Sorry to hear about your rims, at the hospital I visit they only allow Valet parking so I go with them when they park it and go to retrieve it. Maybe he was just screwing with you and did not want you knowing what he had for mods If I was heavily modded I would say mine is completely stock so people dont get any ideas. Too many thefts of these trucks over the past 2 years.

That is also a horrid drug for stomach just like ibuprofen, any NSAID is horrible for you (also risks heart attack). I had to take 3000mg, yes 3000mgs of Ibuprofen before they put me on some other meds for my back (morphine drip, demerol and fentanyl shots). I am also allergic to Ibuprofen and had internal bleeding from my ulcer. Hospitalized overnight, I remember reading the whole entire Edelbrock catalog . Your best bet is to stay off the ankle, ice it and dont go on pain meds, I have a bp of 177/118 and from chronic back pain issues and PC's dont care, its only the ER's that due the proper job because they fear Ill drop dead from a stroke or heart attack. seriously. The thing that is even more funny is at the previous dealership in Ohio (Don Sitts Auto) the list price was $17,995 and this guy is trying to get rid of it for $21,900 . ya, way overpriced for it having body and paint work done. If it was flawless I could see it, but it will never be a collectors edition considering the milage. Also did not use synthetic oil in the truck, but everyone has their own choice.

Wow, that is the same one I was looking at f/s in Ohio w/64k on the odometer for 18grand, "Parade Vehicle" not "Pace Vehicle," number 15 of 50. However, it had body and paint work done. The dealer did not hand half the information over about the truck so I surprised him about what I found out after a week of speaking to dealerships, I honestly would not pay more than 14,500 for it. I think that might be another scam, as I am awaiting pictures from the guy in Ohio (dealership) on the undercarraige to see how much rust it has, unless he auctioned it...... edit-I have pics of the number 15 behind the license plate but I cannot load it for some reason.

I went to 3 glass shops and 2 dealerships (my glass is cracked yet it still completely functions: directional light, folds in, power heat). They all told me the whole entire mirror has to be replaced. I quote them "with that mirror, once the glass breaks and it oozes the gel inside the glass outward, you have to change the whole mirror." However, someone I know who owned a Chevy dealership for around 50 years, said he can just swap the glass. Have not done it yet, I am not on the road, but Im hoping its just the glass swap, mirror is around 7-8 bills, dont know labor costs.
