  1. Correct, science has proven it has taken over hundreds and thousands of years previously, but Al Gore is pointing out the trend over the past 100 years and how high the temps and oceans have risen. Wait and see is all I can say, the ice caps are melting, oceans are rising and certain animals are going extinct because of it. By the way, I believe Al Gore and I am a repub. This is just my opinion. I have never seen TX have snow before, crazy.
  2. If they want your truck bad enough, they will take it regardless of what you have for security. Lojack-waste of $$ in my opinion, the Onstar is not very reliable either. I cant help you with kill switches or fuel cut-off, but just look into the security systems with full security (remote pager that has proximity alert, tilt alert, etc). Try searching the site for companies in security (DEI, Viper, etc)
  3. From the Belltech Application Guide: 03-06 Silverado 1500 SS (AWD) Sierra/Denali 2 inch drop w/out changing shocks spindle set part # 2508 shackle set part # 6400 minimum wheel size can be 17's (you will no longer be able to use your spare tire) hangar is not specified for the SS in my guide, but for 99-06 chevy/gmc short bed only 2 inch drop part # 6513 Please call Belltech to double check, especially on the hangar kit (559)-875-0222
  4. Same w/ mine on the phone. They've called me when they were on the other side of the state saying "hey we just saw you, right?" or "hey theres an SS truck in town."
  5. That was on my mind if you were doing that, they are somewhat common on the houses I worked on up here in the Northeast (when I did landscaping), and they work great. Please let me know how you like the floors and garage when its all done and your moved in, we were going to do radiant heat to our kitchen floor (12x12 tiles) but theirs 3 full size ovens that are going full bore the majority of the day so they create alot of heat. We are building a house in the next 5 years and this is something we are very interested in (the radiant floors).
  6. radiant heated floors ftw! In the garage too, thats
  7. I would split the cost with her, yes it happened on her time but it really isnt her fault and she was honest about the situation. Like stated, 2005 was the first year to have the sunroof option.
  8. I am seeing slightly more Silvy SS' around my area,. I am not driving currently so I always call out the SS trucks I see as passenger. My mom is slowly catching on and is starting to call out certain trucks she thinks is an SS, but she has her own version of the game and always calls out the nice bmws and the newer 3 series. Its always an interesting car ride.
  9. I agree, even without Kobe playing they are very strong. Hope to see them in the finals against the Celtics again, preview sunday! Bynum could be the difference this time around though, which has me going if their is a finals re-match.
  10. I am extremely jealous of your vehicles. I love your srt-10, I tested out a QC srt-10 nite runner, thing was badass. Your lifted Silverado is looking nice Congrats on the custody of your son, my rents had a nasty divorce. Let him work/pay for a Colorado extreme, looks much nicer and is safer! I have severe back/neck issues for life through both disease (DDD, spinal/neck stenosis, spondylithesis) and injury (herniations, bulges, pinched nerves). I hope your injury is fixed asap sir. I am going to try acupuncture soon for mine, you might want to check it out; I have only heard great things about it. PM me if you'd like some more info about it.
  11. I must point out that Kobe would not walk off the floor when his team lost a playoff series without shaking some hands, contrary LJ does (sore loser). Lebron should have more assists due to the fact Kobe is injured and LJ handles the ball just as much as his guards do , that is why I said he is a ball hog. Its the Guard's job to see what the defense is doing, not Lj's/forward. And if "the King" can see what the D is doing so well, why cant he help with a pick or getting himself/other players open? Maybe they should just change him to a guard for his career and I would respect his ball handling so much. I like to compare Kevin Durant and LJ, that is what I am trying to prove. LJ is only slowing down the progression of his guards. Look at Rajon Rondo, he has progressed amazingly the past 2 years from being an unkown to an all star with the help of his whole team and Doc Rivers. Yes Paul Pierce and Ray Allen have handled the ball a good amount, but they handled during key situations (like if the game was on the line). If LJ leaves Cleveland for bigger $$$, will you still be a fan? I question his loyalty also, but only time will tell. I respect your info and opinion 100%
  12. Chevy Tahoe w/barn doors or Cadillac Escalade w/miles.
  13. I use to rally my truck in the snow in winter of 05 and 06 before they dropped sand, but that is a thing of the past I dont want corrosion. These trucks are the best in the snow imo, beats 4x4 anytime. Although I do love taking a 4x4 and rallying it in the snow in rwd purposely, now that is some serious fun stuff . Just need some Blizzaks and your set
  14. Lebron James - big talk and ball hog, yet he is finally learning how to be a team player (Shaq prolly slapped the $hit outta him and told him whats up). I was the same year high school graduating class as LJ and wish I could have played his hs team in b-ball. I played a kid in soccer and he went to MLS and I shut his $hit down in a scrimmage, he kept crying to the ref everytime I knocked him on his ass. Kobe - has learned to be a team player yet I cant stand him because of his past just like Tiger Woods. Lakers for the win between these two teams. I think Atlanta might hold a big surprise for everyone come playoff time this year, they are hungry and want the win. Go Celtics (even though we will not win this year, not even close to 100% health and they are not hungry like Atlanta is).
  15. These trucks are well worth the money, whatever price is paid. I know some have not had as much luck as you with the drivetrain parts etc, but your truck shows they are capable of lasting a long time. Congrats on the milage sir edit- I just noticed your from NH, I am glad to see your truck held up so well under the Northeast weather conditions
  16. I love seeing the pictures of the progress, we tore half of our house apart to reconfigure a new kitchen. I loved doing construction work on houses, so much fun and rewarding when I was done looking at what I did. Is your garage going to have a slight pitch for the drainage, or just flat and the trench drain?
  17. I am somewhat confused also, check out these links though. supermaxx system for an 03 ss http://www.stylintrucks.com/part.aspx?cate...p;partid=482037 supermaxx system w/matching ebay part number for 2007 6.0 engine http://www.stylintrucks.com/parts.aspx?cat...rtfamilyid=1480
  18. thanks for the info, it must be one of those wierd things like the 03 SS is the only year with a fuel filter I would stick with the same brands you are running currently, thats my opinion. I choose M1 for diffs and the recomended GM fluids for coolant, tranny, and transfer case.
  19. Theres an SS with a 5/5 drop but running stock rims
  20. Maybe flush your brake fluid if your doing a complete brake job. Might not be 100% necessary like the other services mentioned, but just a recomendation. I did not know if you meant air intake filter or cabin air filter, but I also would recomend both.
  21. I like that hood alot, I like it even better when you said your going to do the camaro ss hood mock up that would look damn (.Y.) I would keep the mesh silver color to match the brake air ducts imo like you stated. Make sure to post some pics when your done!
  22. got a few 1. "my hunny" - this truck has treated me better than my ex and has given me more joy. 2. "cleo's personal mover/limo" - my dog loves this truck, she flips out and thinks we are going for a ride when I do winter warm-ups. She even just sits in it during warm ups and loves it. I use to drive her to conservation trails for her 3 hour walks every day from 05-07. I cannot say the phrase "go for a ride" or she will get pumped up. 3. "the truck" - my grandmother has had alzheimers for almost 20 years and she says "thats a beautifal truck you have their." Considering she can comprehend a nice looking truck, and say that phrase, its pretty f*cking amazing. Sorry for rambling on, havent slept since friday night. I thought the explanations were important though.
  23. Born and raised near where the heart of the American revolutionairy war started.
  24. Just from reading the responses, their have been alot more arrival blue responses, so with that silver birch is more rare imo. Whats good about the Arrival Blue is that they were used as Indy 500 Parade Vehicles. I just wished the one I was looking was not so poorly taken care of . I must say the Silver birch is a great color, it does not scream out at people, does not draw so much attention, and is probably the least color stolen SS truck due to the factors I just stated. People mostly incorporate the SS with black, blue and red. Like stated the silver birch "looks like plain jane" and I like that factor alot.
  25. Go to "Engine tech and modification" then under "cam choice guide and questions." Zippy might be able to help you out, if knowone replies here (Zippy is a very busy man). You might even be able to check out that thread yourself and get an answer to your question. Good luck
