I have heard that you do lose low end power, I have no proof of it though. I know a member near me changed from Flowmaster to Dynomaxx and I think he likes it better. As far as Corsa and Magnaflow they are different sounding exhausts and to say if the owner is happy, its all personal flavor and that is why they would choose Magnaflow vs Corsa. One person's dislike, is another's favorite. Listen to exhaust clips and use the search button, that is your way of choosing. Corsa clips Magnaflow clips

How many miles?

From the open bed pic (2nd picture) these items are different: clamps, locking mechanism, and bed rails (then again those all can be replaced). I am starting to think I do have the Fastback II cover, just different parts here and there. My struts are in the same location as yours, except the angle faces toward the cab. From the first pic the one thing that gives my cover away is the similar rubber gasket around the tonneau. Sorry to take you off topic, and once again thank you Kim for the help and pictures

It looks like the Fastback II, it very well could be that one. My gas struts are located in completely different spots and angles from pictures I have found of the Fastback II though . Do you know if they are movable (maybe the original owner just had the struts located in a different spot)? The gas struts are also from a company called "Suspa" if that helps. No leak problems yet, dont drive it during winter or rain though. edit-I had to restore my computer so I lost pictures, I have some on facebook. Good point. Ill have to check up with Big Ben, he worked on my truck restoring it back to stock shape before they sold it to me. I know they removed radios and custom stuff from what the guy had in it. Thanks Jesse

I am not disagreeing, however my truck came without Onstar from the factory and it has those grilles......maybe those grilles were installed on all SS trucks from factory and they added the Onstar after (as the option)

One of my favorite shows, I strangely thought it would be his last season in 2009. I am surprised his drs didnt say stay at home, enjoy life or your risking your it. The show will not be the same, I just hope the 2 brothers can get along better and keep the legacy of the Cornelia Marie going. I just saw a commercial for the season finale for Axe Men and the head guy from Browning Logging dropped while filming and they called 911, dont know if it was a heart attack, stroke or something less serious but I will be tuning in for the season finale this week. I personally would stick with your Dynatech's. GM/Chevy used Corsa and Dynatech on a Silverado SS to test out their new Supermaxx header in Arizona when the SS was brand new (I believe it was in AZ, or one of those 4 corner states). The supermaxx headers are the result of that testing. Do you have the OBX or Supermaxx system? Also, corsa designed the stock exhaust SS tip. I spoke to a rep at corsa earlier this week and he gave me alot of information about corsa and dynatech working together w/GM with the SS truck. I did notice you have the 5.3, I would just stay with your current setup. This is one helluva a deal though, thank you Frankie for sharing.

Gaylord or Pace Edwards electric retactable cover in my opinion is what I would purchase if I had to choose one. I have a custom one that looks like the checkmate cover but not one truck/car shop (autozone, napa, advanced truck accessories, etc) can figure out what company made it. Sounds fishy to me. Its a LQ9 motor, not LS1, similar though. Yes I am picky. I just spent the last week going through records on a "Parade Vehicle" from the Indy 500 and found out numerous information the selling dealership supposedley did not have (body/paint work done and other stuff). The agent asked me "how did you get that info?"

Possibly, I am not sure though. I thought I read ahwile back that you can have your heated seats turn on automatically when using a remote start system. Please correct me if I am wrong someone......

Try the search button, exhaust systems are always talked about here. Try looking on youtube for some exhaust clips. Best bang for your buck does not mean you will have the loudest, sometimes you have to spend $$$ to have that certain setup/tone/loudness you are looking for. What other mods do you have? You may want to look into e-cutouts, headers, taking off the cats and what not. Hope this helps.
