Ive seen it on rt 9 near Framingham numerous times, he was heading west while I was heading east. Funny thing was, another SS was about 10 seconds behind it (it was black) and seemed like he was trying to catch up to the VR SS.

Just with basic bolt ons (cai, exhaust) the QC's run in the 14s 1/4 mile, IIRC I was speaking to a member about them. I plan on buying it just for driving the wifey and kids in the future. It takes serious $$$ to get the QC's running. My bad, the QC was in 10s The fastest

Was it a QC or RC Srt-10? The quad cabs arent that very fast cause their so heavy, however they do have one under 10 seconds in the 1/4 mile which is damn impressive. Nonetheless those Srt's are amazing trucks. I test drove a special edition Srt-10 few years back and plan in the future to have one along with the SS.

I also have a great relationship with my dealership, they let me watch repairs and my fam has been going their for over 40 years. I would ask them to do the fuel filter and then test drive it. If that doesnt work, I would go with the cheaper of the 2: new fuel pump or tuned by Slowhawk. If the dealer says you have a good pump, I guess it might be the tune? Do you drive with a full tank of gas or do you try to keep the truck a little bit lighter and keep 1/2 tank to 1/4 tank of gas? Their was a thread about the fuel pumps shitting themselves because they would overheat (something like that) and fry themselves if the vehicle was ran on low amounts of gas in the tank continuously. Nelson locks his tunes correct? Just be carefull the dealership doesnt flash your PCM, I think even a locked tune can be flashed their was a thread about that awhile back.

Its shouldnt take more than 15-20 minutes. I dropped my truck off at a dealership where one member here has worked on my truck longer than I have owned it. I just walked around the parking lot, saw a monte carlo SS and cobalt SS. Next thing I see is my truck parked outside waiting. Wish I could help ya with info on how to do it, I just know its not hard to do and quick.

Im not great with this technical stuff, but I would go change that filter asap, or find out when it was last done. If it hasnt been changed in a long time, its possibly clogged, and I think that would mess with the fuel pump. Edit - Id personally go with a WIX fuel filter. The last one I did was AC Delco but changing to WIX.

If you get the Volant, dont forget if its 95 out you will be sucking that hot air in through the ram air. Also the Volant is not a true concealed intake, their is an opening on the left side (faceing the passenger front wheel). My plan is to buy the ram air and connect it to the stock air box and add a conical oil free intake like the AEM. The GMPP is a true concealed intake, might want to check that one out, not sure if its an oiled filter or not though.

10 years ago I was into having a "system" in a vehicle but just find it annoying now. Im happy with the stock system even though I blew out the passenger door speaker couple years ago, warranty . Our setup in 2001 that won a regional contest was PPI component speakers and 2 JL Audio W7's. 2 Batteries to power the system. Couldnt hear the vehicles horn.

Whens the last time you changed your fuel filter? Dont think that would be a cause but just trying to dig out some more info to diagnose this.
