  1. I understand that could very well be the reason. I just wish the girl would have stated her previous name when she claimed to be on here for 6 years on the site and everything could have been smoothed out. I am not one to rat on people, but that whole thing seemed phoney to me. Yes she probably was selling an SS, but when lieing comes into play, the whole situation is questioned. Anyhow, enough of that topic. Lets hope things are all well on silveradoss.com
  2. I was thinking about that exactly with the brakes shown. The hydro boost would be the best remedy no question. I just have to get the truck back on the road and do essentials, then onto mod purchasing this winter and next year will be good I hope.
  3. Thank you admin/moderators for taking the time out to look at the situation that was at hand. I am sorry if I caused any riff raff on the site, but that was an extremely phoney situation. Once again, thank you for watching out for the site.
  4. purchasing parts 4 the truck, have to speak with GMperformanceguy (chat about brakes) as we exchanged texts yesterday. I highly doubt I will make it, but who knows. It would be great to get away and meet up with some of you guys. Shoulder isnt any better, but if I have a gps/navi system I could drive their but I know I would have to make stops on the way their to lop on a load of aspercreme, dont want to slow down the SS caravan.
  5. I agree a BBK would be best, but I dont drive fast and the stock brakes worked perectly fine for me. When I do splash into big mods I will then have no other choice for safety's sake to go with a BBK. Right now just doesnt make sense, rather save the extra coin and put that toward the mods I am going for.
  6. You may be a newb, but with you posting alot you are creating good cred on the site. Just keep it up and people will learn to respect you and have trust with you shall you need to sell something in the future ps Im still waiting for her to mention her old name on the site. For all we know it could a scumbag scam artist posing as a girl so all the men jump to help the person out
  7. ^^^thank you sir, when something is not cared for you have to only think twice about what other issues are going on. She claims not to be a newb, and has been on here 6 years, then why didnt she use her old name is my question. She might have cred if people remember her. Ive been on this site 6 years and only one girl in MA with an SS was a member but she sold her truck long time ago. So I honestly have to bring this member into question.
  8. Once again another person joins the site just to sell their truck. This is getting damn disrespectufull to the site. This is the link to the thread, truck needs some serious TLC which only brings the member into question. The thing that chaps my ass most, since its a female selling the SS, all the guys are willing to help her, once again making a mockery of this site http://www.silveradoss.com/forums/topic/72172-04-silverado-ss-for-sale-cheap-7000/page__gopid__799784 Moderators and Admins please start doing something about this.
  9. I did a search for a 2003 and these were the results. I did search under a 2005 SS as I want the bigger front setup. One problem I am having is with the pads, organic, ceramic or metalic compound. However, only one set is for awd (front pads) and for the rear only one is for the B4U code (check out the notes at the bottom of info). 10. The big man upstairs is pissed at us for the gulf oil incident. Im starting to think this was weather/fake natural disaster warfare. And weather warfare is the real deal. Enough of that though, everyone is entitled to their opinions. Then again it could be as simple as the tectonic plates are settling from the east coast quake yesterday. Glad to hear your ok.
  11. I am going to begin a complete brake change and will be collecting parts soon. I came across some AC Delco cross drilled and slotted rotors on stylintrucks (yes I know stlyin is cheesy, but was suprised to find AC Delco rotors, especially cross drilled and slotted). I am stock now, and wont be putting up big hp numbers soon (as I will be collecting go-faster parts after the brake swap). I was happy enough with the stock brakes when I bought the truck, I always leave alot of room between the car in front of as I know these stock brakes arent the best. When I do push the truck to its limits, brakes are not a worry (sounds stupid, but brakes would only put me in the woods with this certain act of pushing the truck). So my question is, has anyone tried these cross drilled and slotted rotors? Any feedback/input is appreciated. My stock brakes made it to 64k, and that is good enough imo to go buy the same until braking is an issue with bigger hp gains down the line. I will be adding s/s lines, Motul brake fluid, and the 05+ front brake conversion. Thank you in advance everyone.
  12. Saw it on ebay and was drooling. If I could only sell mine in time... That certificate of the last 4 from Oshawa is some real Chevrolet history right thier. Good luck!
  13. Your lucky Hank! Even though I can understand the delays are a pain but trains and trucks are my life and hobbies. I was supposed to test drive brand new multi million dollar locomotives right out of the shop for Union Pacific, now lets try fitting one of those turbo's into our trucks:jester: I wonder how the Acela was affected? Thats the only thing keeping Amtrak alive.
  14. Whats the reason 4 sale or potential part-out? What color is it? The drivetrain I wouldnt say is worth that much considering the milage and the luck with these certain transmissions and front diff., but would be good for someone to possibly beef or keep around as a backup. Also, werent the factory rims alloys on 03-04s? Or was chrome an option in 04? AFAIK, chrome wasnt on these trucks until 05... I know I could use a driver side rearview mirror, as long as it has the puddle light. Good luck with your choice. edit - any pictures?
  15. No, that is why a real earthquake would be so devastating out here. Amtrak has all trains on the NorthEast Corridor running at restricted limits which barely occurs maybe once a year during a blizzard.
  16. 2nd earthquake Ive experienced in MA. And we have major fault lines in bordering towns, along with a big one at the local town Reservoir that feeds Boston. Cant wait for the next one, I find this stuff awesome. Maybe the west coast is calling...
  17. 2005 Intimidator huh, that must be rare. Production 1 out of 1. Also, nice Intimidator wing.
  18. Truck looks amazing man as always. I also need to find someone that I can trust and do a good buff then I can hand apply that Americana or buttery wax next year.
  19. That was one of the 1st things I noticed the SS didnt have when I got it and wasnt thrilled, as my previous GM vehicle that was an 02 Buick fully loaded had TPMS. I will have to get Nitrogen, but this would be sweet to have. However, having your house completely remodeled and the dumb roofers didnt use a magnetic stick to pick up the leftover nails in the mulch beds, then washed roffing nails into the driveway. Just under 2 grand worth of tire repairs later the dealership said they would go into court for me. And the owner of the company wanted to race the SS in his Ram V6. Should have taking him on that for pinks. G/L with this Jon, its a great idea.
  20. When my truck sat for a good 6 months, the muffler looked like it was taking a piss for a good 5 minutes after I started it and rolled out of the garage. I have a video on my old cell, wish I could upload for ya. I had a small little stream in my driveway to the drain pipe. If they dont fix what they screwed up on an expensive system, Id be tempted to call the BBB. Might light a fire under their arse.
  21. 1st of all, what are your goals? That can help determine what trans you should go for. edit-I know you will go F/I, possibly nos but are you shooting for a 10 second pass? Or certain hp number?
  22. Get a garage up! Ive been wanting to nominate you for truck of the month! Welcome back also
  23. Wow, that srt8 you and your wife have is a nice machine. I can only imagine your SS in action.
