  1. we had Joes truck up to 149 on the dyno, using HPT logging, this was in third but the converter locked. I don't have the log in front of me but it was around 6600 rpm. At that MPH on a dyno loaded for wind drag...i don't think 4th gear would have done any good, third gear was barely pulling through.

     

    i still think a 6500lb truck going 120+mph is d**m fast for it. it shocks a lot of people how fast these trucks go. peelout.gif

    mine goes im sure 130ish also. the speedo tops out at 120 but keeps on pulling, but my truck is lifted with 285/75R17 bfg at ko. it gets a lil sketchy at that speed but thats in 3rd it wont shift into 4th. pepsicheer.gif im thinking of getting a speedometer that goes to 140mph and 7k tach

    when i drove up to washington this march i got 410 a tank got 70. i was impressed with how the LQ9 did with the 14bolt rearend. but when i went to 80+ it went way down

  4. The 5.3 only comes in as an option on a crew cab 4x4 Colorado. Cause they wanted the 5.3 in the H3, so it just carried over, but like I said, it is for 4x4 crew cabs only.

     

    you can get the 5.3 in ext cab short bed on the 3LT option its only 2wd. my buddy has one quick as hell.

  5. when i got mine last year i ran 87 and it ran like crap(only 3 weeks) . i wasnt aware of it and the dealer didnt tell me nor gas cap didnt say anything about needing 91. as soon as i changed octane it ran so much smoother than 87. 13 bucks isnt that much more a tank. if i cared about the gas money i wouldnt of bought a performance truck i would of bought a civic. but my truck beat civics, and a tow and haul bikes in the bed. so i really dont care for the gas prices. if you love your truck you will put premium in it. pepsicheer.gif

So I did some research and I guess I'm not the only with sunroof issues/flying off and shattering.after going back and forth with my insurance company they decided to pay for it.my next concern is where would be the best place to take it too and get it replaced with a good warranty to go with it.chevy stealership or a custom shop??

  7. IS ANYONE RUNNING WHEEL SPACERS AND WHAT ARE THE PROS AND CONS OF HAVING THEM?

     

    ARE THEY GONNA MAKE MY TRUCK SHAKE AT HIGH SPEED?

     

    THE REASON WHY I ASK IS AFTER SERCHING LOOK AND HARD I FINALLY FOUND THE WHEELS I WANT FOR MY TRUCK. WHEN I CALL THE COMPANY THEY TELL ME THAT THE 24" WHEEL THAT I WANT HAS A +35 OFFSET AND WONT WORK WITH THE TRUCK UNLESS I PUT A SPACER.

     

     

     

    depends on the size of the spacer. if you put to big of one it puts pressure on the bearings and they will wear out quicker
