  1. I am glad I read the comments before clicking. I am a HUGE dog lover and that is NOT a good thing for me to watch. I have a lot of choice words on people like that and it's not something I can safely post in this forum.

i was tame lol i can be ohh soo worse. but really there harmless. why would anyone do that? something is loose in her head and far worse for the camera person for watching it and not doing anything.

  2. how are they illegal if their in their country??

i forgot where the video was taken at. i thought it was in the states. but i guess not. should have edited it when i got the vid but slipped my mind. still tho who puts that many people in one truck?

  3. Yeah, it's not a big leak. It doesn't drip on the pavement yet, but it is throwing lube on the frame and bugging the hell out of me ever since I saw it, so it will get fixed. Like I said, I am getting ready to tear the front end apart, so it's not that big of a deal, just something I wasn't planning on doing.

yah i always love how that happens. but yours is AWD it always has power going thru it. mines 4wd i can choose if i want 2hi 4hi and 4low. i usually dont need 4wd the G80 is good in dirt, sand, mud. i need to replace all my fluids, trans, transfer case, and front diff. i did my rear dif when i had to replace a axle.

  4. Was under the truck today installing my 160 thermostat and noticed the passenger side output was leaking on my front axle. Damn truck just hit 18,000 miles and is already marking it's territory. Was planning on doing the diff fluid this week anyway, so no big deal, just one more damn thing to do. Might as well drop the CV's and lower it while I'm there, eh?thumb.gif

03 and only 18k miles? my 06 with 60k has the same issue, but theres just the residue on the output seal

Reduced Power Mode friggen sucks. Went out to go to work today, get in my truck start it and all of a sudden it says Reduced Power Mode :banghead: . Shut it off and restarted it a couple of times and the same thing  . Ofcourse my scanner is at the shop as it should be. Well I limped it a half mile to my dads house hoping to get a ride with him (yes we work together) but he had just left. So I snagged his Tahoe :peelout: I get to work and he's like :noway: and said you think thats a community vehilce :blahblah: Anyways Went at lunch to pick it up with my rollback and it started and ran fine :censor: . So I checked it with the scanner at the end of the day and not a code or anything. Everything check fine and I have the new SNAP-ON VERUS. Yes it is a bad ass Scanner. Anyways this is not the first time this has happend. A couple of times while driving at night when I hit my high beams (I have HID's for high and low beams)the truck bucked and one time it went into Reduced Power Mode It only started the after the accident :icon_bs: . I did change the location of the ballast when the front end was apart nothings wired wrong so guess I'll figure it out when I get some time.

my truck did the same thing. i had highs lows and fog lights HID and also 2 hella 4000HID offroad lights and it did that to me i took it to the dealership and my pcm needed a "updated version" it was caused by a quick surge in the voltage when i turned all my lights on 8 total HID lights thumb.gif

  6. Hey guys. I have an 07 V-Max classic 4 door. The rear speakers I have found in the past few days have stop working. Can any of you stereo/electronic guys give me a direction to start looking for the problem? It is an all factory BOSE system.

my driver BOSE system speaker did the same thing. i took it out and the little brass connectors inside the clip weret touching the speaker clip connectors. i then bent the connectors and walla it worked again. hope this helps.

  7. If it weren't on the "homeboy hookup" program... a truck this size and the work I'm gonna put in... somewhere around $400-$500 but Chase and I usually work out something on trade out. He was a huge help when I dropped the TBSS so I'll probably lean on him for the Avy drop as well.

what about a 1500 vMAX crew cab baby bed, with 2.5in level lift kit? fingersx.gif

  8. Whats the deal with the slim ballasts vs. the normal size ones? One better than the other? Last longer? Brighter?

there just thinner and smaller than the normal ballast. it mainly for cars that have tight space but our trucks have plenty of room for the normal size. i just got the thin 55w cause its cool. i do also have the quad beam headlight conversion(no fuse change) havent blown a fuse yet been a year so far. with just my lows and fog 55w HIDs on it puts more light out then just the low and high.

  9. can anyone tell me if the 20 inch wheels from 2003 ss will fit on a 1990 454 ss. thanks in advance.

i dont think they will cause i think that year used 5 lug wheels. and the 03 is a 6 lug but i could be wrong. i know the 4x4 silverados are the same 6 lug as now

  10. So I can just add the HID kit to my stock headlamps? What about glare, beam pattern, cut-off point, ect because these headlamps are not designed for HIDs?

I really don't like the projector look but I thought I would have to get them because I couldn't find anything else that said it was for HIDs.

McMahan, what did you do for your high-beams and DRL's?

all you need is the 9006 kit 55w or 35w, and if your doing highs the 9005. i have the 55w in both lows and my fogs, high i didnt see the need. i didnt have any glare, the beam pattern was the same as stock, and it lights up the road 3x's more than factory

  11. I have been googling and crawling through Ebay trying to find a plain, simple hid headlight (probably projector?) for our trucks so I can add HIDS. I see some people have done custom projector housings with projector lenses from other cars but that's not really what I'm looking to do since it's a lot of work and very time consuming.

I know if you just add hids to halogen headlights there are all kids of glare and pattern spread problems. I founds hundred of "HID projector" housings on ebay but they all have leds or those halo rings on them and I'm not convinced of the quality.

I just want a plain, simple HID headlight assembly, preferably with out the amber lenses. Does any company make these?

i have ddm tuning 55w 8k color HIDs in my truck and my pattern is the same if not better. imo you get more light output with the factory housings than going projectors.

  12. where is the cabin filter at on a 06 silverado ccsb. im having a hard time locating it. i looked behind the glovebox and dont see where it is. truck has 58k miles on it and im sure its the factory filter. pepsicheer.gifconfused.gif

  13. you should be fine. try and get trailer brake controller, and see if you can get a weight distribution hitch. if they make one for a car trailer. i know they do for my buddies toy hauler i use. you should be fine with towing it just keep an eye on your temps and hopefully its not lowered. you might be dragging good luck with the tow pepsicheer.gif
