  1. No install parties here . I'm going to let someone else do it for me. It's my only vehicle and I don't have the time or place try all the work myself. Turbo, Heads, cam, intake, fuel system, meth, tune, and 4l80 is way too much for me to attempt in any reasonable time frame especially living out of a apartment.
  2. I'm going to be putting a turbo on my truck over the next couple of months and was wondering at what horsepower levels will the MAF tune start holding me back. If my truck wasn't my daily driver I'd just get a SD tune and be done with it, but from what I've read it seems like most people recommend a tune using a MAF sensor for daily drivers.

  4. The problem with a 1 piece aluminum drive shaft on a 2wd ecsb truck is the length of it. Once driveshaft gets to a certain length if it's not balanced right at high speeds it more likely to come apart on you. It's happened to several of the guys on pt.net with the one piece driveshafts on the ccsb trucks once they took their speed limit off their trucks. This place http://www.driveshaftspecialist.com/Truckhtml/Chevy-GMC.html Makes 2 piece to 1 piece conversion drive shafts but if you look at the length limit it's 86" and although I've never gotten under my truck to measure I'm pretty sure we pretty close to that limit.
  5. stock for stock a full second in the 1/4 is a little more than just a tad. Anyway I've taken my truck to the track and it ran about what a stock truck should run, I lose to stuff all the time that's not as fast as a lightning.
  6. Exact same battery as the Odyssey for less money. Pull them up online and compare the 2. I have one in my truck.
  7. I might have raced one. I raced some kind of sporty looking new taurus . I only raced him to maybe 60 and lost. I thought maybe I would have had something for him in the top of second gear if we have raced longer. If it runs high 13s then I'm glad I only raced to 60. Lol.
  8. Except for the Subaru I don't think it would take more than new tires, headers, and a tune to beat.
  9. I think It's time for me to start the mods on my VHO. First I got beat by a Subaru WRX. Not much to say about this one the car had a roll cage and several racing stickers on it so I pretty much knew I was in for a ass whooping. It was from a dig and me being 2wd with bald tires it wasn't even close I spun he didn't and he was gone. Second race was a BMW 328i not much to say here either. My bald tires got me again. I spun in first into second with a torque management filled shift only to be caught in second gear at just a little over 30mph getting killed waiting for my truck to get back into enough rpms to make it interesting. It never happened though so I just gave up. 3rd and forth race one against a Cummins RAM and one against a new Taurus was pretty much the same as the BMW race. The only difference was even though spun right into 2nd gear again they weren't ahead of me by that much and I think I could made it interesting on the top end but both of them backed out of it at around 60 All in all not a very good week
  10. So first I'd like to start off by saying I have a VHO and not a SSS so don't nobody make fun of me for asking. Now that I got that out the way, back to the question. If I were to jack up my torsion bars to level the ride height out on my truck, what do you think would be the both tallest and widest 20" tire I could fit on my truck without rubbing.
  11. I've only had if for a couple of weeks but I haven't even looked in the stores for any ammo for it yet. I don't think you can beat internet prices unless you reload though. I did go to the gun show this week and bought me 500 rounds of .40 Short & Weak reloads for $129.00 to play with through my .40 barrel. Yeah I think Underwood is about the cheapest ammo out there that loads the 10 the way it is supposed to be loaded. I shot some Buffalo Bore heavy 10's through a rental Gen3 G20 when I was trying to decide whether or not to get a 10mm but at over $30.00 for 20 rounds I won't be shooting too many of those unless I'm try to kill something. Although I am anxious to shoot some real deal 10mm ammo through it just to see how the gen4 recoil spring eats up the recoil compared to the gen3 I shot. So far with the cheaper stuff I've been shooting my gun feel noticeably softer shooting that the gen3 did.
  12. Gen 4 G20 10mm. Figured I might as well get used something with a little kick right from the get go plus I can shoot 40 S&W, 357 Sig, and 9x25 Dillon with just a barrel change. I already bought a 40S&W barrel for playing at the range and out the large frame Glock it doesn't feel too snappy at all.

  15. Is it just me or do those tires look kind of small for a 9.5" lift?
  16. Never mind there's more differences in the 2wd and 4wd chassis than I thought. On a side note, what was GM's logic in using a 4wd chassis on a 2wd truck? Is there any advantage in the 4wd chassis? I've never owned a 2wd truck before this one but it seems to me that the normal 2wd chassis would both handle and ride better than the torsion bar/ recirculating ball steering systems on our trucks.

  21. What is the fastest 60' known for 2wd SS, what wheel/tire combo, and what suspension mods. Not one that's been tubbed or 4 linked either.

  23. Slp makes a l92/ls3 top end kit. The only thing is it comes with a l76 intake but maybe they would swap it out for a l92 intake or sell the kit minus the intake.
