I tried to race a C6 Z06 the other day on the freeway. I got next to him and got on it a little to let him hear the turbo to see if he wanted to go and he didn't want no part of it. So I passed him and went on my way. Then about mile down the road I look in my rear view and the guy is coming up on me fast. I got on it to try to not let him pass but the guy had too big of a run on me. Now I'm figuring the guy wants to play so I catch back up to him, get next to him and again nothing. Then he got off the freeway. I thought it was pretty chicken $hit for a Z06 on the freeway considering I'm in a big old truck.

Maybe I'll take a look at those. I don't think they come in a 305/50R20 but if they would hook better than any of the 305/50R20's out there than it would be worth it.

Going to be needing some new tires pretty soon and I was wondering what 305/50R20 street tires give the best dry traction. I don't care about wet traction, snow traction, road noise or tread life. I've been mostly looking at the nitto 420s, toyo proxes st II, and the Yokohama parada spec-X but not sure on which one to pick. Not even sure if any of those are my best option. If you have any experience with any or all of them let me know what you think.

I didn't do whole lot of anything, I had someone do it for me. lol 76mm BW turbo, Trick stage 5 kit, 218 JFR cam, AI ported 317's, Edelbrock pro flow intake, ls3 TB, Alky control meth kit, and Eboost2 controller. One meth nozzle not sure what size on setting 3 if that helps any. If I had a forged short block I'm sure I could have hit a good bit more horsepower, probably could have gotten more on this one actually. If I get another car for a daily I'll probably try to find out, they said it made the 708 pretty easily. Not sure what they did with the crankcase. I asked them and they said "some people have problems and some don't, lets get it running and see" I guess I didn't. If there would have been a problem the recommended the setup from Mightymouse.

It's fun but at this point pretty useless on my current tires. I have 3 boost setting on my controller and right now on the mid boost setting at 70 roasts the tires.

IMO which i'm sure won't be too popular on here because I'm not really that into lowered trucks is that I really don't like how close to the ground they bring the front end of newer trucks down to. I know it helps with gas mileage but for me I think it makes the front ends look way too big and what if god forbid you want to take your truck off road and beat on it a little bit. The same goes for the Ford super duty's and the big dodges too. Unless they are lifted with bigger tires all these trucks with there massive front ends look out of proportion to me. Now I like my VHO and the 03-06 SSS I think they were some of the the last good looking Chevy's. With that said I still don't like where truck designs have gone since 98 for GM, 95 for Ford and 2001 for Dodge. All the plastic, fog lights and other crap they put in and around the bumpers of newer trucks is just more stuff to get messed up if you actually use your truck as a truck and beat on it a little bit.

It's worth whatever your willing to pay. If there is nothing else out there for $7500 that you'd rather have then who cares what other people think it's worth.
