  1. same here except I ended up cranking my keys back up until it didn't rub anymore on flat ground.
  2. If you want to try something completely different move down to Phoenix in June, July, or August. All the sun you could want and hot as fock.
  3. It's running but it's running lean at WOT. I burnt up my first $130.00 ebay walbro 450. The shop working on my truck thought it might have been a fake so they got me one that they knew was legit. They installed it and did some exhaust work on the truck. Now when I go WOT in my higher boost settings or am drive it when it is below 60 degrees outside in even my low boost setting the truck is going lean. Not sure if it's something with the tune or the pump at this point. My tuner thinks it's the pump and the shop who did the pump sounds kind of skeptical of it being the new pump. Luckily they both work together all the time so hopefully soon we will get it all figured out
  4. Nice truck but I wouldn't leave that video up there if that's your house. It pretty much shows where you live. I don't know, maybe I'm just paranoid.
  5. I'm a GM guy at heart but nothing wrong with owning a non GM. I'll be the first to admit my old Bronco was by far a better off road truck than any of my GM 4x4's were.
  6. No I just had time to get it towed to the shop, get a rental, and then go to the bar to ease my pain.
  7. The truck took a $hit on me 3 times this week. The first 2 times it blew the PCM2 fuse and it wouldn't crank or do anything. When that fuse blows the indicator for what gear the trans is in stops working, which is why I thought it might have been that P/n switch. I took it to the shop and I also had a tac module trouble code on the truck. I guess when you have a X-link if you have a tac module problem it's usually from the X-link. The shop thought because I had that code on my truck that my X-link was bad and blowing fuses. So I contacted Torque Rush and told them what was going and they informed me that if there was a X-link problem then I would be blowing the ETC fuse. They also informed me that the PCM2 fuse controls the fuel pump, with a little help from Google I confirmed that to be true. I then told my shop that it's probably something with my fuel system not the X-link. At that time they asked me where I got my Walbro 450 from. I told them How I got a killer deal on one from eBay. They then told me how they have had to replace several of those cheap eBay Walbro 450s that people have bought and they believe that they are knock offs. So fast forward to yesterday and my truck it's 3rd $hit on me. This time it would crank and wanted to start but it just didn't seem like it was getting enough gas. I figure the fuel pump stopped working this time. All that leads me up to today, I'm getting a new Walbro 450 (not cheap one off eBay) and a racetronix hotwire kit. Hopefully this will fix it.
  8. Died on me yesterday and today again. Not looking like the xlink, looks more like a fuel pump problem actually.
  9. Ok kind of feel like a dumbass. Just blew a fuse for PCM. I checked a few fuses and swapped a few relays around when it first wouldn't start but because those fuses are such a pain in the ass to pull if you don't a pair of needle nose or the little fuse remover tool, I only checked a few that were for the ignition, got pissed off when I ripped part of my nail off, then started looking at other stuff. When I didn't see the indicator for what gear the trans was in I just assumed the problem was because the truck didn't know what gear it was in. I guess the PCM controls everything. Anyway based on one of the trouble codes that was one on my truck the shop said it looked like my X-link for my LS3 TB acted up and in return blew the fuse to my PCM. If it does it more I'll probably need another X-link or try to get mine fixed.
  10. Well I changed the neutral safety switch and disconnected the battery for a few minutes. No luck. The trucks going back in the shop tomorrow.
  11. I bet that's my problem and it looks like a pretty easy fix. Unfortunately here is the state of my hand. sorry kind of a big pic.
  12. I crawled under the truck and beat on it a few times. I'm pretty sure everything was plugged in but I wasn't really sure what it was so, like I said, I just beat it few times and jiggled all the linkage and wires around that I could see going to the trans. Maybe I'll double check it all again tomorrow. I got a broken right hand so if I can't fix it easily it's going back in the shop.
  13. Not sure what's so hard to believe but if I ever get a vid of a race I'll make sure I post it. Is that up in the column. I know something is messed up in my column because my steering wheel hasn't been locking in place after you turn the ignition off for well over a year.
  14. The truck took a $hit on me today and wouldn't start after getting a tank of gas. I think it's because the truck doesn't know what gear the trans is in. The indicator that shows what gear the trans is in on the dash is missing. Where it shows P R N D 3 2 1 the light under what gear the trans is in is missing. Not sure how that works on newer computer controlled vehicles. Would that be something on the column. The has a 4L80 in it also so I'm not sure if something maybe got jacked up from swap.
  15. Got next to a Porsche Cayenne on the on ramp to the freeway I could tell he was on it but wasn't sure if he was in it all the way because I passed him so easily. I looked them up on the computer and it looks like they only run 14s in the 1/4 so he probably was in it all the at the moment of question then just gave up. lol They did pass me on the freeway later and gave me a thumbs up so that was cool but then my day went down the $hitter from there. I stopped to get some gas and after I filled up the truck wouldn't start. I think it's something in my column or on my trans thats not telling it that it's in park there for not sending a signal to the starter solenoid. In my dash when I change gears the indicator that shows what gear your trans is in is missing. It shows P R N D 3 2 1 but that line under them that indicates where the trans is, is missing. If anyone knows what that would be, let me know. The truck has a 4L80 swap BTW.
  16. I hope your joking......watch the speedometer
  17. Thanks. Seriously after all the money I got in my truck and after putting down 303 more rwhp than a stock c5 zo6 was rated at the motor, if I hadn't walked right by him I'd of either been pissed off myself or wondering what he had done to his car.
  18. Some people didn't believe my rolling burnouts at 70 were on dry roads either. http://www.silveradoss.com/forums/topic/86798-little-70-hit-on-the-way-into-work/page-2

    C5 Z06 kill

So I was on the freeway today on the way home from work and had to change interstates. I kind of did a a-hole move passing a bunch of cars in the exit lane then got in the exit lane at the last minute. One of cars I passed was a C5 Z06 and he kind of did the same thing as me getting in the exit lane late. I just took it a couple cars further. Anyway based on the way we both got in exit lane I figured he must be kind of a a-hole like me and might want some once we get on the next freeway. Sure enough once we got on the other freeway I was watching my rear view and here he comes. I let him get a good run on me because I wanted to see I could walk him down after he passed me. I waited till he was a few car lengths from passing me then I hit it. He got by me and put at least 4 or 5 lengths on me before I could start to catch him. Once I started to catch him he lets off and hits the brakes which wasn't cool. I don't think he was brake checking me, I just don't think he expected me to be where I was at. So we drive for maybe 1/4 of mile with me behind him getting through some traffic and I'm pretty sure he know I want to run him when we get another opening. We get to little opening he changes lanes and goes for it. He was probably 2 car lengths in front of me and had the jump on me too. I walked right by him though at well over 100mph. After I walked him he went pass me again as we came up on some more traffic, I couldn't tell if he was butt hurt or not that he got beat by a truck. It was a fun kill for me though.
  20. I'd probably list mine the exact same way he did. It's pretty obvious it's not a SS once you see the pic and the truth is the truth is a 2005 Vho has the exact same chassis, suspension, and drivetrain as a 2wd SSS. Which makes the truck very difficult to explain to the average person because the 2wd SSS's and Vho's are freaks of trucks. They are both 2wd trucks on 4wd chassis, with 14 bolt rear ends but not the same one thats in the HD trucks, and a 6.0 but not the standard HD 6.0. I can't tell you how many times I've tried to explain it to people only to have them look at me cluelessly or like I'm full of $hit. I got to the point where if anyone asked me what the difference was from my truck and a regular silverado, I'd just say it's a 2wd SSS without the badging. Not that people even know what that is but it's better than trying to explain it to someone who won't know what your talking about anyway. Luckily now that I got my turbo and when people ask me what my truck is I can just tell them it's a Bad Mother F_cker. lol
  21. You're all clueless and sheep. lol. Why do think there is a Non silverado SS, Vho/V-max section on this website.
  22. That truck is probably a VHO. It has the VHO wheels. My truck is a VHO and the only difference between a VHO and a 2wd SS is badging and the body kit. In fact I've looked up the vin on my truck before and for some reason it actually listed my truck as a SS.
  23. I live fairly close to work and it's mostly freeway so it's not that big of a deal. I've yet to check the mpg, don't really care that much but I don't think it's that terrible when I'm not under boost.
  24. No I have not hit the 1/4 yet. As you can see I have some traction issues. The funny thing is I tried to quiet the truck down some by putting on a Twister muffler and the muffler took away a noticeable amount of hp. That rolling burnout was done with it in the high 40's out and on 14 lbs of boost. Before that muffler was on there it would burn out like that at 11 lbs of boost at around 100 degrees outside. I need to get that muffler off and some tires before I hit the track. Here's another video showing the road. 2 hits one at about 65 and the second around 75.
