I have a stock 6 disc stereo out of my 06 V Max. Saw a post looking for one and it made me think about my factory radio that has been sitting in a cabinet in my kitchen. Took it out of the truck a week after I bought it to put in a Pioneer Navi. Not a scratch or fade anywhere on it. GM p/n 15234935. Worked fine when I took it out a couple years back. Shoot me a pm with ur number and I can send pictures.

I have these little strips of rubber on top of the cab at each rear corner, i am thinking maybe its coming from there

I think it is coming from higher up, i have considered that though I have heard some bad stories about getting it resealed too, makes me nervous

Him and another really good friend of mine are z owners and on the mod-train heavy with them. That car with suspension mods, diff mods and some simple performance mods is an absolute beast and just may get you more into it than you think.

Hey guys..little help please. I know most of you have ec trucks and it has been years since i have had an ec, so i cant remember if it is the same, but maybe yall can help. I have a cc, and since the day i bought it if it rains hard, like torrential rain or a long period of rain i have been finding a small amount of water leaking around the c- pillar plastcs, upper seatbelt mount, that will get the carpet a little bit wet. Before you send me on the sunroof goose chase i read on another forum that the drains ran down the c pillars so i started ripping out the plastics and found a huge lack of drains..after an hour of looking i found out they are actually in my b pillars. I took weedeater string and rodded them out just as a precautionary to avoid the horror stories that are associated with our sunroof and shot some low pressure air through them to be on the safe side. I then read it could be the third brake light so i applied silicone to the weathered gasket on the back of it and put some silicone in the holes before bolting it back down....the only guess i have is the cab corners, what exactly is under those short little strips of weather seal on the tops of the cab corners? Help, i have done a good job of soaking up any water i just dont want it to happen when i am away for a week in the maxima and it end up making the truck smell like ****!

I read somewhere that part of the reprogramming involves entering specifics of the donor vehicle to get it to function... I completely agree with downeast....you my friend are an oak! I have the bose in my truck and it is alright but I definately wouldnt have gone through evrything you have for it. Good job man, glad it worked out for you

sinr said what I was trying to say. just because you have a larger diameter pipe doesnt mean that it will flow as well, because the pulses can lose velocity in a large pipe or several large pipes. I have been informed that running true dual 3" exhaust would not be as beneficial as true dual 2.5 or 2 3/4 because of the loss of velocity the exhaust gases would have in a 3". tthis is why I said the pipe size and the way it is ran should be proportional to the amount of flow the motor is producing. the paper towel roll is a perfect example, if I ran an exhaust too big for my motor then I would lose the scavenging effect halfway downstream and defeat the purpose, which is supposed to be exhaust pulses that can maintain their velocity as much as possible through the entire length of the exhaust so they dont bottleneck or slow down the pulses coming in behind them

Turndowns on the muffler....u r a braver man than i lol. I got so lucky that we were able to cut the pipe at just the right angle and it sounds great with no drone. i had a truck years back that i had it pointed straight down and it drove me crazy. A friend of mine cut off his tailpipe in an attempt to hide it, he had a magnaflow, it screamed off the inside of the rocker panel and after a few days he used an exhaust clamp to put the piece back on

Lol...thats what i meant, it will be dual all the way back, no shared mufflers. I summarized it a bit too much. Yea i want it pass gas with the best of them. No tips, no way no how! I like the exhaust to take a big ol dump right after the axle. My uncles always ran dual 3 or 4 inch chrome tips straight out the back and i have always hated that. Unless i can afford a high dollar exhaust setup that comes with its own branded tips, it will be dump city.
