  1. Oh no....not a prius lol. Quick, edit it to say tesla model s...lol j/k..but seriousely
  2. Ok, now we are getting somewhere. What type diode do i use and is it soldered in or just placed in the pins then secured in place by the relays. And is it possible to run another diode from the 85 pin on highs to 85 pin on lows to have the 4 high mod as well, or would that result in "god lights"
  3. X2 on the x-pipe! That is my goal for my exhaust.2003_Supersport, I liked the idea of sticking with the 3", if i am shooting for 500 n/a can i stay with 3" dual, my vmax is 3" dual to a di so super 40 right now, but the plan was to do 1 3/4 lt's to 3 in dual no cats x pipe to muffler of choice at time of install to dumps after axle
  4. Pretty sure the relay wont be big enough that is a lot of draw for all 4. And as far as wiring are you talking about the entire wiring set up for headlights and fogs or the wires by the relay.
  5. I would really like for my fog lights to come on automatically with my headlights. Anyone have any insight into how to do this properly? I dont want to jump the wires or anything else that is going to constantly blow fuses or dim my lights or heat up wires because of too much draw. I want to do it right and safe.
  6. Keep the V-hoe ftw. Good luck man
  7. Tampa, thatswhat I think happened to him, but instead of changing things he continued to give his truck a brake fluid enema for about 8 or 9 months
  8. Yea. My buddy chewed his ass. Te truck was running like ass and his poor parents were trying to put out fires as they would pop up, they changed his entire brake set up from the booster to mc to lines to calipers, then changed the plugs and wires. It was smoking everytime he would start it for the first fifteen or twenty minites, my buddy said it smelled like it was runnning real rich the last time he saw it (the kid is in college at LSU) so he isnt always in town. It finally just went into limp mode, tey were able to drive it to the guy who does my tuning. I seriousely think that it was sippin fluid for a long while and the brake fluid played hell on it.
  9. I love how Ford rounded the diplacement the wrong way on the old 5.0s. It was 4.94, then I guess since they caught a lot sh\t about it the made sure to get things right for the coyote. Now instead of a 4.949, thay have a 4.951 lol. Still fun cars and I did my very first burnout in a 89 with a holley 4 barrel
  10. Definately trying to KISS, but dude, he went through a LOT of brake fluid. That is why I wish I could have ben there when they pulled that booster. Its cool. I actually told them the first thing the mech is gonna do is do a compression test. It will all sort itself out but there is no getting around the fact that if you go through a massive bottle of brake fluid in just a few months and never once actually see where it is going, red flags should be up. I was talking to his brother, my friend, and he said it perfectly...I used to have to add oil to my old blazer all the time but it was okay, I knew where it was going, and the new owners of that home are probably pissed about the huge oil stain in the driveway.
  11. Tell me about it man. Every time I do anything, even for-looks stuff I love my truck just a little bit more. Oh and it is gonna be all motor when I am done. Maybe a blower way down the road
  12. Its down. At the shop, so a determination will be made sometime this week as to the extent of the damage.
  13. Did some digging. Think i figured it out. Old mc puked its guts out into the brake booster, over time brake fluid destroyed booster diaphragm, fluid sucked into intake, brake fluid probably destroyed seals and other stuff and possibly stripped anything oily of its nice lubritating properties, hopefully didnt damage the pistons or cylinders and the damage can be contained to intake and seals.
  14. And I have never had to add fluid just because the pads wore down before. Seems to me there is a lot of excess fluid in the resorvoir to handle the extra piston travel as brakes wear.
  15. Not talking about the pads, talking about they were barely working at all. Master cylinder/brake booster issues. Those were replaced but not before the issues with the motor started happening, which is why we think it leaked into the old booster and fluid got into cylinder/heads. Trying to see if that is possible and if so could it result in trashing a piston or rings or something like that.
  16. Great job of doing his best to take a dump on a good truck. Chrome vent visors. All it needs is some one ton cab lights above the windshield, and maybe some escalade vents on the fenders
  17. I just took a guess and threw out that maybe it could have been leaking into the engine, and if it was getting into the cylinder i can only imagine it would have burned something up, and now its running limp, maybe losing compression.
  18. The brakes were garbage before they replaced the booster and master cylinder, now it has strong brakes, but the motor is running like garbage now. Think they trashed the old brake components or something. But if it never leaked one drop of brake fluid anywhere on the truck or ground, thats the only place i can think it went. They were having issues with it smoking and running weird and throwing codes so they checked the codes. It had a code for maf lean and misfire in #1 cylinder. Dude just didnt take care of his truck and failed to tell anyone he had been adding brake fluid to it for a year.
  19. Forgot to mention they changed the plugs and wires and they even bought a new coil pack for #1 cylinder, havent installed the coil pack but i havent for the life of me ever heard of a coil pack going bad in a truck that doesnt have a crazy amount of miles. Its a 07 with the 5.3 Just trying to figure out if the two problems are connected.
  20. So my buddies little brother is not very gearhead oriented and kept adding brake fluid to his resorvoir, apparently for over a year. Never mentioned that or the fact that there was no sign of brake fluid anywhere on the truck. He had his brakes and brake lines replaced and shortly after he threw codes for maf and misfire in #1 cylinder, is it possible that brake fluid is/has been seeping into his cylinders because of a bad master cylinder or brake booster through the vacuum line? They replaced both the master cylinder and brake booster but the power is down and the codes are still there.
  21. Swung by my tuner today, it had been quite a while and gotta be honest, I am happy with him. After i put the vette servo in it, the shift to second was really hard, needless to say, plugged her up, pulled the line pressure off that he added and a few seconds later i was off with a great quick shift. Guess i just need to stay in contact with him more so i dont let myself forget how much he did to make it fun to drive. Oh and he apparently has a hookup with the parts shop and can get commercial batteries for 35$ that have been on the shelf for a year. Its always great to keep those kind of connections. Thank you for the advice guys, yall are giving me a renewed love for this truck, dan especially.
  22. Way to go on finding one. I have the lq9 in a crew cab. I just wanted a litle better flow and didnt have the money for the proven corsa sport so i went ahead and dropped a dual in single out flowmaster super 40 in it. This was against the advice of my exhaust guy, he said it would be too loud and probably have drone. I had him cut the tailpipe directly behind the axle so that it basically pointed directly at the ground under the passenger side of the rear bumper. I know most people dont like flowmaster and it was a pretty expensive muffler with install (300$ iirc), but it gave it a really deep rumble, great wot sound and i dont have any drone.
  23. Welcome, just a few hours east of you in Louisiana.
