  1. I unplugged this a few weeks ago nd drove around without it. No brake service light at all I am reusing my factory master. I just unbolted it. No need to play around with brake fluid. Got my booster off today. Measured and set the rod length.
  2. You can remove this soundproofing for easy of removal. I think mine is heading to the extra parts pile. it's held on by one plastic snap. need a 15mm stubby wrench and of course mine is missing. Gotta hit the store for a new one also forgot bolts for the mounting plate.
  3. Adapter was a custom job from a family member who made a few of them for me. They are a little too thick a little over 10mm. That is why the welded nut. I wanted the rod with a little adjustment. I got under the truck today for a minute. Normal socket is not going to cut it here. Deep sockets are a must. Not too deep or the bottom right one will not fit.
  4. Got new lines on rock auto. Going to try to attack it this week
  5. After my cam install. My already poor brakes got even worse with the loss of vacuum. I had a small adapter made to mount a hydroboost on a silverado. I ended up getting the rod length wrong, So I contacted a fellow local SSS member on here. He whipped up an adjustable rod and welded on the plate. I think he did an amazing job. I am keeping my factory brake pedal with this plate it lines the booster up like factory. Thank you cj_978 for the welding. Step two is 05+ brakes and bigger calipers or ??? Looking at options still.
  6. I played around with satin gloss on my bumper. I am thinking of doing an eastwood single stage on the whole truck I am not sure on the satin. Thinking this would be a nice look. http://www.eastwood.com/eastwood-boulevard-black-paint.html
  7. I would call this guy and get a custom cam on like 108 http://www.tickperformance.com/
  8. You can usually have injectors serviced. I would toss a noid light on it and see if one is a little off. I love this thing. http://www.nationaltoolwarehouse.com/The-Universal-Electronic-Fuel-Injector-Quick-Probe-P138423.aspx?gclid=CjwKEAjwwtOsBRDdjZTbvYvTlzcSJADOY0DRyZte7aPgNstM_dtXSzSNSky0hnLNZDBlyPmxgkfJvxoCKbHw_wcB
  9. add me 13.892 1c,3c,5c,8c,9c,12c-3,17c,22c,27c slip http://www.silveradoss.com/forums/topic/87816-new-england-dragway/
  10. Flex-a-lite makes a sweet set up seperate rad and trany coolers too.
  11. I have a simple set up with a dry shot going thru the filter and a harrison timing box. I would put in 1 step colder plugs, Simple dry shot and try a dyno session upping 25hp jets untill you run out of fuel or too much timing. Should be a 150 shot or close to it. Solenoids leak every once in awhile. Wet hit a little harder and in theory is safer untill a noid fails and fuel leaks or you get fuel smells ect. Dry is safe if your patient and monitor it. Don't let your motor lean out or have any knock from timing. I have had NX noid's fail especially the fuel side. Now I just run a dry shot with a big nitrous noid.
  12. It happens. Radiators are fairly cheap anyways on this truck.
  13. poorly tuned 13.89 silverado ss bolt on't 216/220 cam vs friend in a tbss tvs2300 with stroker motor. His tranny died or he would have run high 10 lower 11 http://i61.tinypic.com/5tswn6.jpg
  14. I would just do magnaflow direct fit cats or hollow my stock ones.
  15. Will not fit where it meets the y pipe. ss=duals 5.3=single pipe
  16. I just finished B&B Thing looks awesome everywhere connection to the exhaust tip. No cats and minor drone.
  17. 22" cragar 616 wheels perfect shape anthracite powdercoated nitto 420 tires under 5k miles 305/40r22 and gorilla spline drive lug nuts new set Will trade looking for a few things still nitrous bottle heater and supercharger everything 1200$ prefer local sale in Mass or border state
  18. I think you need a forward facing bar like bell tech maybe. I'm thinking of this next.
  19. I wanted z06 upgrade. But it doesn't work without adjusting the brackets more than I'm comfortable with. Backyard mechanic here at best. What are the biggest options (proven) that can fit these spindles aside from 05+ Rotor caliper choices.
  20. drop spindles up front and rear hangers. Rides like stock install was ok and pinion angle didn't need adjusting no vibrations from driveline
  21. I have a love hate with my fast manifold. Pain to get tuned 1st install was a challenge but you can feel the power difference. I think it woke my truck up more than my cam did. I would wait a bunch of new manifolds are coming out soon.
  22. my cam is 216/220 on 114 lsa I feel understalled with a yank 2600 as well. Just waiting for the tranny to die to restall. I would keep the window open for Forced induction and keep lsa 114 or greater and the cam under 230 many cams 220/230 on 114 on the market or close enough off the shelf. I think thats what I would get in your case.
