yeah the tensioner that came with my maggie does bounce around abit but i havnt seen anything to replace it with i figure the new pulleys would help out a bit . has any one tried this place ? http://www.innovatorswest.com/store/index....mp;productId=50

i am thinking of changing to an 8 rib set up there is a fair amount of belt dust around my pulleys . is it worth changing to the 8 rib or stick with 6 rib and just change the blower pully ? i was looking at the reichard pulleys its alot for a set of pulleys but i guess if it will solve the problem it would be worth it

this clip is from when my truck had b&b true dual side exit http://videos.streetfire.net/video/Ford-Ya-Later_164021.htm as is this one http://videos.streetfire.net/video/silverado-ss_155066.htm i had to change it cause it got damaged so i went with corsa sport the corsa is WAY louder but the b&b has a sweet rumble this is the corsa http://videos.streetfire.net/video/corsa-s...long_176362.htm http://videos.streetfire.net/video/silvera...clip_180359.htm the second clip doesnt do it justice it is very loud with the corsa if you don't want to much attention the b&b is the better way to go

my cam specs are listed in this thread http://www.silveradoss.com/forums/index.ph...47037&st=15 yeah i dont think the maggie would be any good over 6400 or so
-
i was just wondering what other people with built engines are setting for redline ? i am at 6100 right now but think i might go higher would it be safe to rev to 6600 or so ? keep in mind i have heads and cam and blower on a 408

Blew My 4l65 For The 2nd Time
rgp6373 replied to BURRL's topic in AWD, Differential, & Transmission Tech
i used the performance transmissions 4L80e kit altho i used my own trans . kit was great a little tuning and works great until i blew up the 4l80e but after another rebuild it has worked great -
well not faster top speed ( i hear 190mph for the cts-v ) but thru the 1/4 would be cool and there will be videos soon of my truck the way it is , cause that corsa exhaust is WAY to loud lol
-
fortunatly i already have a house lol . and my 2009 cts-v will be here in late october but i want my truck to be faster lol
-
when i talked to a shop about a twin turbo setup from aps they were around $18 000 and i don't want sts because of where i live
-
magna lists the 1900tvs at $6800 for the full kit for 99-07 then you gotta pay someone to put it in
-
i know it wont be cheap . i have a friend with a procharger setup thats why i don't want to go that route , can't do the same thing hahaha and when i talked to magna they said the 1900 would be at its limit to feed my engine . turbo is an idea but all the kits i have seen are big bucks since i am already set up to run the maggie .
-
i have blown up pretty much everything lol it should take the power . i will only be running around 10-12lbs on my 408 so i wont be makin 900hp around 700-750 seems doable and my driveline will take that
-
nevermind i found it . i think the low end from the magna is better for me
-
whats an F1r ?
-
i am thinking about upgrading (again) to the new 2300 tvs from magna . they claim it put 15.5 lbs of boost into a 428 lsx , so i would think it would have no problem puting 10-12 lbs into my 408 ls1 . plus it has the dual heat exchanger instead of single . what do you guys think ? no priceing yet
-
yeah i was talking with magna about the new 2300 tvs they said it could feed 15 lbs into my engine no problem but they dont have a kit for our trucks so it would have to bee custom install which means $$$$$
-
thanks guess i will have to find a smaller pulley
-
here is the cam card , i was told it was a good blower cam . the mp122 is fairly new and i tested the boost with a mechanical guage same result . i would think i should get more than 5.5lbs with that blower and no leaks that i can find
-
i just talked to my engine builder and the crank is pinned
-
i just recently had a new cam installed so maybe thats it . is it hard to take off can i do it in my driveway ? would it run fine other thn the boost or should there be other problems ?
-
how do i check the crank pulley to see if its pinned ?
-
nope not the by pass valve it works fine and i was making about 7.5 lbs of boost before
-
i dont think the belt is slipping seems to consistant for that but i will check the by pass valve
-
i seem to be loosing boost on my maggie . down to 5.5 lbs . my question is where could it go on this blower ? the guage seems to be working fine
