it makes sence when he explained it its a part that usualy breaks when u go drive to reverse repeatedly . and it blew when i was loaded up on the tc
-
well turns out it was my fault for loading up the tc in D instead of manualy putting it in 1st some one way clutch blew and took out all the parts around it . nodody ever told me that was bad before i didnt know the differance
-
yeah but built 4L80E are not supposed to break they should be good for 1000hp guess i just got a bad part
-
not sure about that i didn't do the install myself
-
i thnk i am around 650hp , the speed sensors i have a wiring adaptor from here http://www.transmissioncenter.net/4L80E.ht...0E%20to%204L80E i am pretty sure it did break the actual gear set that what it sounds like anyway. i gave the 4L65E 3 chances from differant builders and it wouldnt hold up
-
yes clutches and shift kit , guess the gear set should have been changed too
-
well if i have any luck its bad cause after only 1200 miles my 4L80E shredded 1st and 2nd gears . has anyone else with a 4L80e broken it ? now i gotta wait a few more weeks to race my truck
-
yes thats right it was the cheaper and easier way to go , it is a hardend shaft and no problems so far
-
just that part #10T and a tc
-
and its part #10T
-
i got a used 4L80E from a friend had my trans guy build it up has a transgo shift kit and better clutches all the conversion parts and tc came from this place http://www.transmissioncenter.net/4L80E.ht...0E%20to%204L80E i was very happy with their service and quick deliverly even up here to canada . then had my driveshafts lenghts changed at a local shop and my tune done by westers
-
what kind of info you looking for ? it all went smoothly just have some tuning to work out . you loose a little off the line but i think it pulls better cause the 2-3 shift isnt as big a gap
-
this is my sss against a modded lightning he said he had bigger blower , injectors , tune , exsaust , pulleys and a built engine . i still have to play with my shifting cause its shifting at 5500 and the tc is locking up in 2nd and 3rd at wot but i am still happy with the result http://videos.streetfire.net/video/Ford-Ya-Later_164021.htm

Is Anyone Else W/fi Having Trouble With The Tensioner?
rgp6373 replied to dirty70069's topic in Forced Induction and Nitrous
my 2 cents but if they told him his ac didn't work because of a tensioner wouldn't that be the ac tensioner not the main one it is a different belt for ac . oh and i have broken 4 of those dayco tensioners but the new one that came with the mp122h seems to be working fine so far -
hey we are talking about me here hahaha my 60ft went from 1.75 to 1.83 and my 1/4 went from 12.73 at 105 to 13.43 at 101 . my 0-60 went from 4 to 5 i know its not shifting hard enough yet and still have to play with the shift points . i figured i would only loose a couple tenths
-
i just had my 4L80e installed and while i still have some fine tunning to do it doesnt feel as fast . does any one have 1/4 mile times before and after there 4L80e conversion ?
-
yup . my fronts are 2 piece the rears are one piece . figured it was time to change them since the slots are flat now haha
-
do you have to get the tool to take apart the alumasport 2 piece rotors from baer or would a local shop have it ? i have the new rotors but there is nothing in my tool box that looks like that
-
