  1. For any of you who have an active NHRA competition number, Jeg's has a racer discount program that offers GREAT discounts on parts. The prices are sometimes up to 50% off. If you have a competition number, just call them up and sign up. If anyone can find a way to get money to me without any crazy fees (paypal), I'd be happy to order in my name on your behalf so that any non-racers can enjoy the discount.
  2. I'm with you Chase. It just needs the right parts and to be built by the right person or place.
  3. Thanks. I am only concerned about the bolt in part of the install. My truck is unregistered and my exhaust shop is more than happy to do the work for me in this case. Which wires were burning?
  4. I guess I should buy some heat shields then or do you recommend something else with Pacesetters? Also, is the install pretty easy? TIA
  5. To all you Pacesetter owners out ther...Do they come with flanges welded to the collector or not? Mine are on the way and I'm trying to figure out what exhaust work to do. TIA...
  6. Thanks for the tip! I have a Nissan too.
  7. I HATE those things! They scare the piss out of me! I like to take my blow torch to em and watch them burn and explode. It's great!
  8. I already talked to him. I'm sure you'll be quicker than that. If I were you, try to get with someone who has a weather station like the one I have then you can run to the 1000 foot mark and lift. When you enter that time, it'll predict your 1/4 time pretty accurately then you can run it out on your last pass. I wouldn't worry too much. My brother usually doesn't work the Street Legals but the people that do can be just as strict sometimes. If you lift at 1000 feet you can usually shave 2 tenths off.
  9. I'm just looking out for your safety and I'd to see you get banned from the track or have to install a real bar before you return. My brother is the starter out there and he's a sticler about the rules. He actually pays attention to every car that goes down the track and will call tech himself for all of the rule breakers. Just a heads-up.
  10. Great looking trucks both of you! Good luck to both as well. I can only hope to be nominated someday and be mentioned in the same breath as the 2 previous winners and all of the other nominees. Great job!
  11. Thanks everyone! These are the encouraging words I needed to hear! BTW, if anyone is interested in buying Pacesetters, BYUNSPEED has them on sale for $374.99 shipped. That's right, that's the total! That is the cheapest I have found them yet.
  12. Okay, I ordered my Pace Setters. Now I need some ideas on installation. How long? How difficult? Can I do it in my driveway? Do I need a lift? What else will I need? TIA...
  13. I'm not sure what a removable role bar is but I can tell you that if you don't have a real one welded to the frame and you 11.49, CA Speedway will ban you from the track until you do. Sorry man, NHRA has their rules for insurance reasons and safety.
  14. Anbody use these Click! Think they would work? They also offer a Y-pipe.
  15. I think he wants the leaded stuff for his quads. Chase, there's a place on Euclid in Chino that sells unleaded for pretty cheap from a pump.
  16. You're right, it was a little funny but I wouldn't quit my day job just yet.
  17. Yes it is. You have to go into an office and get their card then you go to the pump. After you pump, return to the office and return their card and pay. I got six gallons for $40.77 after taxes.
  18. Not sure why that was necessary. That's ok, I'll lett you take your jabs. My racing success and my truck's performance speak for themselves. 12'S ROCK: You should go to Downs Fuels off the 15 just south of the 91...$5.65 per gallon for 110.
  19. Where at? I need some for this weekend. Do you go to Downs Fuels of the 15 and 91? That's where I was planning to go tomorrow.
  20. I pay 8 bucks at the track for 110 Leaded and there is a somewhat local place that pumps it for $6.75 I think. I only run 5 gallons at a time so it doesn't hurt the wallet too much!
  21. I think some of us need to relax and maybe sniff a little more of the 100+ fumes if you know what I mean!
  22. I'm aware that I'm not gaining much if anything but, like I have said, over thousands of dragstrip passes, I have noticed considerable differences in consistency (which is all I care about as a bracket racer) between leaded race gas and pump 91. I appreciate your comments, thanks.
  23. Thanks for the kind words. I'll be at LVMS this weekend for PSCA and then at Fontana for SCEDA on the 15th and 16th. Back at Vegas for the ET Finals in October. Maybe I'll see ya around.
  24. Why is that not smart? I meant that my rear o2's are disabled as they should be. How many times do I have to state that I can't get 93 in CA??? I have well over 100 runs on my set-up and I am very happy with my power levels and everything works and runs great.
