  1. I've got those headers and I think they are fine. I haven't had any problems with them at all. If you gut/remove the cat's, do you still need long tubes for the real power?

  3. Get the 408 and be done with it! If not, 6.0 all the way...lose the 4.8!
  4. Anyone know if I can disable this feature? I have my service airbag warning (passenger seat has been removed), my check washer fluid (I drained it on purpose), and other random thingys every now and then and I'm tired of looking at them! My truck is just a racer now so I don't need all of the bells and whistles. Also, the horrible door chime...is there any way to cut a wire or something and get rid of that without effecting anything else?

  15. Not stressed out and certainly not bitching. If you read my post, I'm stating an opinion which I'm entitled to as an American citizen. Again, if you actually read my post, I'm also asking for those guys to just be careful. I don't like to see anyone, especially a fellow car enthusiast, get hurt or have their driving rights revoked. I am an avid racer and track employee...It's kind of my job and my duty to promote the track and try to get as many people off of the street and into a safe racing facility as possible. I appreciate your opinion, but please learn to objectively read a post before you attack someone again.

  17. Sorry to be a stick in the mud again, but that didn't look like a drag strip to me. That's two street posts in the wrong forum now! WTF is going on around here??? I can't believe people are this into promoting street racing. Maybe it's time for me to move on from this site...
  18. No I didn't nor do I intend to. I did it because it is in the wrong forum and I wouldn't have time to post it on every stupid "kill" post in the street forum. All of this "kill" stuff is stupid anyway. I know my truck is fast and I know I can drive it well. I don't need to prove it to some puke on the street driving something else. It's not safe, I don't want to possibly crash, and I don't want to pay the ticket should that happen.

  20. I gutted mine and I couldn't be happier. It's a bit raspy, but my truck is strictly a racer now so I don't care. If you use leaded race gas, the fumes smell great too!
  21. Looks good! Those should really help you out in the traction department. I may put those on all 4 someday.
  22. I could tell because my tune was set-up wrong (I think??). When the tc would lock, the motor would drop 2300 rpm and bog down severely. In a drag car or truck, the vehicle should be pulling through the finish line in the power band, 6000 rpm give or take. before, with the lock up, I was "cruising" through the traps at a mere 4200 or so rpm. Not only was it not fun to drive at all that way, but it was robbing ET and MPH. I've been talking with 06VHO and he seems to think that if I lock the converter briefly in 2nd gear, I would pick-up quite a bit in MPH and ET. There's a lot of different theories out there regarding this issue but I'm happy with the it is for now.
