  1. Yep. Insurance adjuster came today and said $2,500 in damage. Doesn't seem that bad to me. I guess I'll see what a few body shops say.
  2. just got a 2000 Silverado LT extended cab in Sept. and now it needs paint. Looks like some kids had fun with it last night with a key or other object. lots of scratches. The dark color of the truck helps hide some scratches but there are lots fo them. Glad the vette lives in the garage and the SS is gone. Either one of those and I would have went off. I'm still pissed but have full coverage with a $500 deductible so it could be worse. Someone will be out to look over it Monday. Going to add some security cameras around the house. Hopefully I'll catch the littls pricks on camera if they come back.
  3. Nice new truck. What colors do they come in? My next newer truck will be one of those bad boys.
  4. L sight: girls will be girls lmfao Yeah seems like many ford people are die hard retards
  5. not interested in cash + trade are you? Got a 1996 silverado ecsb 4X4 with a newly built trans I've lost interest in. was going to fix up(trans/paint/wheels) but not feeling like it now
  6. does it still have all the mods in your sig? so just missing passenger seat and rear seat? Post some pics of the interior if you have any. I guess u don't need a 1996 Silverado ECSB 4X4 do ya lol?
  7. yeah, just throwing it out there. Got the truck back today from the trans shop. man does it cost to get a trans fixed these days. If I could sell the truck, I'd see what kind of loan I could get. anybody want to buy a 1996 Silverado ECSB 4X4? Got a new built trans under it with a 2 yr 24K mile warranty
  8. check out my garage. I had a lot done to my ss lol. I had stock gray ss wheels, chrome ss wheels and 2 sets of 22" wheels. I loved my ss and is was pretty unique. I always had people checking it out and commenting on it. I did all my performance mods befpre really changing up the exterior besides different ss wheels. IMO these trucks look great with a 22' rim on 305/40/22 tires.
  9. sweet looking ss Yeah most places hate to loan $$$ on 100K miles vehicles let alone 200K+. Rate would probably be crazy high. If I hadn't just bought a 1996 Silverado ECSB and put a trans in it, I'd see what I rate I could get. Not interested in a trade plus cash are you?
  10. great job Carl good to see one brought back from the dead
  11. good to hear from you P. Hope things work out for you.
  12. dealerships just rape you on anything. My buddy needs to get his mirror replaced and they want to charge like $700+. I would either do it yourself or take it to the stealership. I would not take it to a shop. Sucks to pay out the @ss for some stuff.
  13. Found one in OH with 48K miles for $17,997. It's a blue 2003 ss. Has a few mods but does have the SS decals upsidedown for some reason. Carfax doesn't show any accidents so I bet you could get it for $16K or less. Seems like a good deal for a low mile 2003. Here's a link to the autotrader ad: Blue SS 2003 in OH
  14. Looked under the truck the other day and noticed one of the exhaust pipes connected to a header and held on with a c clamp lol. Truck is old. I'm only going to use it as a truck. I don't plan any performance mods for the old silverado. just cosmetic mods to make it look a lot better. It's got a bit of rust so body/paint work will be in my plans.
  15. I bought a 1996 Silverado ECSB 4x4 off a local guy to use as a truck lol. The trans works but 2nd and 4th(OD) are out. I hear they are on the same band so I'm wondering if a complete rebuild is needed or just fix the problem band? I've checked a local shop(people recommend) and they want $1,200+ for the rebuild. price includes install and they offer a 2 year 24K mile warranty. Another place wants like $650 for rebuild with better parts but they don't install trans. I would like to learn a lot more about trans and rebuilds but figure it's not best to try my own rebuild. couple more questions. Do you think I can pull the bad trans and install the rebuild? I've never messed with trans stuff. It would save me money for other stuff. I'd like to fix the truck up(paint/wheels) so I wouldn't mind to drive it around sometime. don't want to put a ton of miles on the C5Z06. Hope you guys can help me Thanks, Jeremy
  16. great pics. guess i better have the 4l60e in my old silverado built by someone besides me. I wouldn't mind rebuilding the trans myself but I have no experience or knowledge lol.
  17. Don't remember where in Maine. He flew down to KY to driver her home. It took him a couple days to get back lol. I don't think he's a member. He was a few years younger than me I think. I'll have to load up pics to a image hoster. Site gives me an error when I try to upload pics. Need to join a corvette forum now, but I'll still be around here as much as I am now. I think I'll end up buying another SS sometime. Great truck and more and more people are selling them. Doubt I would mod it again so much. probably just cosmetic stuff like wheels/rim and drop.
  18. Not mine. I sold it to a guy in Maine. I've heard there is one around here like mine. Going to drive it stock until I get use to the power and want more. Probably just bolt-ons, maybe heads and cam later. Just depends on how much fun I have with it. Can't imagine adding a SC but you never know. Got the z06 for $21,500. They gave me $6k on my Jeep so financed like $16k after taxes Nah, just had my fun modding her. I've never owned a vehicle as long as I did with the SS(6 years) so I figured it was time to move on. I put 93K miles on her and almost half were super charged. Figure the trans would need to be built at some point and I didn't want to put anymore in her. Couldn't tow much because it had the TBTC in her. Never planned on buying a C5 Z06 but I got the itch to mod again plus the Jeep was a SUV and not fun to drive. going to get an older Silverado to tow my jet ski.
  19. SUV wasn't doing it for me since I sold the truck back in Feb. so I picked up a 2002 z06 last night. Had to drive 165 miles but it was worth it. Got a good trade in on the Jeep($6K) so I had to do it. Bad things is I need a truck now to pull the jet ski lol. Been searching already and will probably get an older Silverado(96-98). Web site took the pics down of the z06 so I'll get pics today with my buddy's camera since I left mine at my cousins house an hour away. Fun car to drive for sure!!! Stock now but that will change
  20. Truck is gone!!. Sold it back in Feb. and I plan to test drive a 2001 & 2002 Corvette Z06 this weekend. The Jeep is just boring. I feel like some old soccer dad lol. Going to trade it in and get a vette to mod and cruise in. I've got the need for speed again. I'm also going to get a late 1990's model Silverado ECSB to pull my jet ski. Probably mod the Z06 a little then sell it off in a couple years and maybe get a newer Z06 or newer CTS-V. I seem to need to mod something or I get bored. Modding has turned into a hobby
