  1. that color would be the only reason I wouldn't buy it. Like you said, you either love it or hate the color. Good price for a 2007 Z06 vette
  2. I'll give it a try and let you know if that fixes the problem.
  3. I've had it for weeks but haven't had a chance to get pics. I got this off my cousin for $5,500. It's a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited V8 loaded with leather, cd, 10 disc cd changer, sunroof, power everything, 4WD, towing package, heated mirrors, heated seats that don't work lol. Jeep rides fine and has 114K miles on it. Feels top heavy but it gets great mpg on the highway. Even driving it in the city I avg around 19 or so mpg. Twice as much as the SS but it's not as fun lol. Still it's a nice SUV that is serving it's purpose. I'm thinking of picking up a SS Camaro or Trans Am ws6 to have fun with while I save up for the C6Z06. The LS1 in those seem to be pretty fast with bolt ons and cams. I miss being able to go fast. well anyway here are the pics.
  4. Ok IE 7 worked fine till today. now when I go into a forum I can only see the top 5 or so topics, the rest look to be below the page and i have no scroll bar to see them. I have to tab to get to them. When reading a topic I can see all the responses but when I try to respond to one, I can't get to the "add reply" button without tabbing to it. I can only see the "options" label. no scroll bar either. Also the ads to the right seem to be floating. anybody have any help for me? Thanks, Jeremy
  5. poor poor ss. It's been destroyed IMO. That crazy paint and laying frame just isn't something I like
  6. I'll have to check out the 78's. The guy has it priced at $4k now so I'm betting I could get it for less. I guess I'm looking for a project to build while I save up for the Z06. I don't have the SS to work on anymore, plus I was pretty much done with it. I'll make sure to check it out if I take a look at it. I'm going to call today and see what's wrong with it since it's a fixer upper. I'm not really looking to build one to make money, just like the older body styles and it would be fun to restore one depending on how bad of shape it is in. Got a link to that 1978 vette?
  7. the ss is the first thing i have ever really modded. all my cars would have a good stereo but that's it. i can be really tight with my money but i see cash sitting in my checking accout i would like to spend on something to go faster. the new to me DD isn't fast at all so i've been looking at older vettes to restore or maybe a fast mustang, camaro or trans am. the local car group has lots of fast mustangs, camaros and trans ams so it would be easy to get into that stuff. Plus the jeep grand cherokee gets really good gas mileage so i don't even see a reason to keep my old DD(1995 grand prix se). I say wait a little to mod out the new truck. try to finish the ss before thinking about getting rid of it. Enjoy it a little and then see if you really want to move on. i really only miss mine because I don't have anything that can go fast. nothing like insant hp from a FI vehicle. so much to consider
  8. I like all vettes and have found one on the web i might get. Let me know what you guys think: 1980 Vette restore It looks like it will need lots of work but might be a fun project to work on. The price keeps dropping on it so I might call about it this weekend and see what she looks like in person. I figure I can probably offe the guy some cash and pick it up pretty cheap. I'm going to do some research tonight and see what I can find out about these 1980 vettes.
  9. a clone month would be fine with me
  10. good find and welcome to the site. I was at my local speed shop tonight talking to a guy from our local car/truck group and he said a guy picked up a low mile SS for around $14K or so. He had to drive a long way to get it but got a great deal.
  11. small business = very little power to get lower rates. Big companies usually pay less because they have bargaining(sp?) power with more employees. Hate to say it but insurance is going to get more expensive. Glad they past that useless bill haha
  12. it's got the stock SS exhaust tip and yeah it probably was a recovered SS. not worth the $$$$ or PITA to replace all the SS parts.
  13. I know how you feel. Mines been goen for over a month now
  14. Yeah I think that's the plate I was talking about. It's so easy to pop our locks and this seems to solve that problem. Of course if they really want in they can break the glass. So I would suggest the door plate and an alarm for anybody living in a bad area. Trucks like ours are a prime target it seems
