Got a letter with my electric bill yesterday. Rates are going up. also saw a story in the paper and the water rates will probably be going up again and they just went up a couple months ago becaue the EPA sued the water company. Dish prices seem to jump a few bucks every 3 or 4 months. Just pisses me off all my bills go up faster than my salary. Even though my company is doing alright, raises are crappy so I might add $50 more per month to my check if that and insurance went up so basically I'm going backwards in the cash flow area. Economy sucks but oil prices keep going up because "they" say the economy is going to get better and we will "use" more oil. It's all a load OF BS!! Tired of companies raises rates because they want to make more money or they screw up and I have to pay for it. i want all these f'ing CEOs to pay for my rates increaes with their million dollar bonues. It's f*cked up!!

all these quicklube places are a rip off. Had my oil changed once and guy tried to tell me to use synthetic it would help my radix lol. Yeah maybe if the radix pulled oil from the pan which it doesn't.

sorry to hear the bad news. From what I've read our trucks are super easy to take. Locks are easy to pop. More people need to protect their SS before it's stolen. There is an article for the lock plates and hood latch plate that really helps protect our trucks. I would suggest people search for it and add some extra security. If I still had mine, this would be at the top of my list.

rim offsets and tire width will affect the drop. with my 22's running 305 they rubbed at full lock but that's it. ar you running stock SS rims?

also a lot of power behind the yanks = boom. You need to go to their upper line if you supercharge your SS or add a lot of HP. Seen too many threads on here with their TT line failing. i'd spend the extra money and get a TC I know will last in case you go the supercharger route.

I think you can get a repalcement from advanced auto for like $150. I had a problem with my hub so search by my user name and you should find some part numbers and price.

I'd just take it to a dealer at this point. Cost more $$$ but they should be able to find the problem.

Yeah I'm also looking at rebuilts. there is a place close to my mom that does a lot of rebuilds. My cousin got one for a good price and it runs great. they guy sells a lot of them. I went to check out a 2000 2500 and it was already sold. might have been there a week. Had the 6.0 LQ4 in it sold for like $4,800. neat find. low mileage but I'd feel like crap driving a proto-type TBSS with the small V6 in it. I'd have to tell people sorry it only has the v6 so it ain't fast lol Nice looking SUV though.

Yeah I've thougth about the Explorers also. I keep checking vehicles out on eBay lol .

i'd go with the 2.80. I doubt you'll see much difference with the 2.90 if you are already running a 3.0.

Yep looking for a SUV under $10K. So far most think the Trailblazer or Tahoe is a good fit. I'd love to haev a Tahoe if I can find one within my price range. Just got to be patient I guess.

Yeah I've checked out a few online. going to have to be patient to find one in my price range. Yeah I've seen a few in a for sale mag but nothing like yours. Most are high milage ho's. I'd be licky to find one like your Dan but I'm going to try. I might also check out some crew cab chevy's. I really need 4 real doors. Our 4 doors just doesn't cut it plus the back seat is crap. not enough room

I have thought about an older used Tahoe. prices seem reasonable on them. A budy of mine has an Envoy XLT(one with the sliding roof) and it's a pretty nice ride. Loaded with leather and back glass behind 2nd row seating so you can use the back like a truck. He hasn't had many issues with it and it has a different engine(300HP I think). I forgot what it's called but I read about the engine on here. I'll look more into the Tahoes and TB's.

Too nice of a vehicle to be a DD plus I want to spend under $10K. The Jeep grand cherokee seems to be the best priced for what you get. I do like the trailblazers but those v6's suck. My buddy had one before he bought his truck and MPG were worse than his truck or mine.

My current DD is a 1995 Pontiac Grand Prix SE. The SS is sold and will be gone Friday so I'm looking to get a used DD that can pull my jet ski and also has 4 doors. My daughter will be 4 in July so I'm thinking of getting a used SUV. what do you guys think? I'm looking at something with decent MPG, 4 doors and can pull my jet ski. I've been checking out Jeep Grand Cherokee's, Ford Explorers and Chevy Trailblazers. All seem all right for towing light weight and having four doors. The only bad thing is there MPG isn't the best. What do you guys/girls think? I know I'm going to miss the SS but my goal is to get a nice used Z06 I'm going to save up for a bit to put a lot of cash down so I don't have a crazy high car payment.
