  1. I'm a 2X and my boys are smalls, although I'm not gonna swear they are gonna make it. Man I tried like hell to get Ft Campbell, but got stuck in Korea and Ft Riley. Can't wait till next weekend. I have been getting my tune all straightened out and it should be a lot of fun. Dave
  2. First you may be better off posting a logfile. I assume you're trying to tune the VE table. I'm not a pro but there are some around here. You may even want to look at some tunes in the bin repository to get some ideas of where you need to head. The +20% means it's adding 20% more fuel to get to Stoich (14.7) fuel mixture. Also the STFT's go to zero when you hit PE(power enrichment) mode while the LTFT's are carried over with the PE multiplier table, which if they are wrong, will make you run richer or leaner. Man iut takes a lot of work to even start learning how to tune. Good luck Dave
  3. Man sorry to hear that ...glad your girl is ok. Maybe you can buy a better one, or go TBSS. Dave
  4. I would just use a name brand ATF like Castrol or Valvoline and change it every 12-15k miles. A bigger trans cooler is in order as well since the original one is pathetic. Dave
  5. They took a great idea...legal races for pinks, put a pink dress on it and smeared it with shit. On top of that they get the biggest douche in the world to host it...looks like a big homo to me. The way to run the show is to gather say 10-20 cars who want to be on the show then let them have a pow wow and decide who wants to race who. Then you could have a real show and negotiate real races. Another gripe of mine is that they always seem to dumb these shows down, and there are more commercials than I can count. The self made turmoil on the show is as bad as the self imposed deadlines on American Chopper or Hot Rod. They take such cool ideas and ruin them. Dave
  6. Are you saying when it is just sitting there or when driving and coming to a stop? Mine does that when I come to a stop sometimes and I have to bump the throttle. I can't seem to find anything wrong...no vacuum leaks or loose clamps on the MAF. I did the TB bypass though..also I had swapped a throttle blade for a non drilled one into my new TB. Let me know if you figure it out. There isn't anything in your tune that would do this is there? Clean the MAF lately? Dave
  7. I look at an warranty like a bet...you are betting them that you are gonna break your truck and they are betting you that it won't break. Here's the catch...they hold all of the cards and they can and will deny you service for any reason. IMO you are better off keeping your money and saving it for repairs down the road. You can have a trans rebuilt for under $2k...less than half that if you take it out yourself. I really don't care for other people working on my rides and about every time I have let someone do work for me it has turned out not so well. Dave
  8. I bought mine from Allen Nelson...he's not a supporting advertiser here. The harness cost me about $100 I think. It works with the factory controls (pin 42) of the PCM. Try here for fan harness Dave
  9. Depending on where you live...not cats. I may be interested in your stock cat/pipes. You may be better off going to an exhaust shop and getting the new cats and pipes put on, at least you can recoup some $$ anyway Dave
  10. Here is a log of my Histogram 2. I posted the log files and my tune over at PT.net here is a link to my tune and both my race logs. I will look at my timing table and pull say 3 degrees from those cells. I will have to figure out how to scale the MAF also...I am torn because I have a wideband and I need to send my HPtuners cable in so I can upgrade to the MPVI but I don't want to until I have somewhat of a tune in place. Dave KR_log_histogram_2.doc
  11. Just saw this for some reason I didn't see it before. Yes an inline pump is what is called for on a 03...you can verify that by the return line on the Raw fuel manifold. Magnuson has a copy of the install instructions on line...just not all of them but if I remember that part is covered. Lots of people drop the tank and install a Walbro 255LPH pump which would work also. Dave
  12. Here is a screenshot of my run. I am gonna throw up a shot of my VE table as well. Dang HPtuners just when I think I'm getting the hang of it, I can't seem to affect my VE table except for the worse. Could someone who has similar mods post up or e-mail me a copy of the VE table? I wanna make sure I'm headed in the right direction. Thanks Dave BTW I realize that the injectors are maxed out at shift point, however, I lowered the shift point to 5600...plus I plan on an injector upgrade in the future. I should be back in the 85-90% duty cycle anyway. Also my KR is from the start. logfile.doc VE_Table.doc
  13. You may need to have a CASE relearn done. Some people have had to do this. Whenever you change the PCM, remove the harmonic balancer or replace the crankshaft position sensor you are supposed to do the crankshaft position relearn so the pcm knows where in the cycle the crank is. It can be done thru most tuning software or the dealer. I think they get $40-50 to do it and it takes all of 1 minute to do. Talk to Bryan and see if he has any ideas. Dave
  14. Ok tuning gurus...I will e-mail a HPtuners logfile if you care to look. I ran the truck 13.47 not too bad but should be way faster. This is probably because I was running all of 6.5 degrees timing by 3rd gear. The KR spiked when I launched, then declined but reappeared at every gear change. I really don't want to F up my 3rd engine (bad cat took out 1st bad build on 2nd). Any advice is appreciated, and I glanced at the wideband and it seemed to stay at 11.3 to 11.6 a little rich. I have to send my serial cable up so I can get MPVI pro and possibly a 2bar tune. Thanks Dave I forgot you can't post log files
  15. More details please...I would recheck connections at the PCM and battery. It could be a "bad" tune also. Who tuned it? Any DTC'c? Dave
  16. Went to the racetrack last night...saw a Mustang with the license plate "WE66ER" . Thought that was funny...guess they wouldn't let him have wigger. I heard Steven Tyler had "3M TA3" on his car...when you look at it in the rear view mirrow it says "EAT ME". Just thought I'd share Dave
  17. It screws in straight down. Not the ones on the back of the air intake tube. Think for a sec...the fitting you need has to be under (or after) the blower...otherwise you just read vacuum until you hit boost then it will only read zero. If I'm not mistaken the pipe plug is next to the fitting for the bypass and fuel pressure regulator hoses. Dave
  18. I have been thinking about upgrading my stock pump/in-line radix booster pump to a walbro or better yet dual walbro 255's. There is a how to on modifying the stock pump module to accept a walbro. I know the lightnings run 2 255's...I wonder how much netter if any that would be? I'm guessing you would be at the point of diminishing returns unless the lines were upgraded as well. Dave
  19. Bad fuel injector? What mods do you have? I know that when I had a injector unplugged it made a ticking sound almost like a plug wire arcing. What about a vacuum leak, or a loose hose or a bad brake booster? Dave
  20. With the radix mine idles at 50psi and 63-65psi@WOT Dave
  21. What is your setup? Is the bypass hooked up correctly? If you have a radix I have my boost gauge teed into the fuel pressure regulator...may be the best place since the fuel pressure is referenced by vacuum/boost. Dave
  22. He should have told the cop "I'm going to your house, you know your wife dosen't like to be kept waiting" Dave
